Eric FI was told $55 plus mileage when I made the reservation. When I got to the place, it was all the sudden $75. When I returned it, it was then $89. Why? Looking at the cost break down it’s full of hidden fees and when businesses this, guess what? The consumer is automatically pissed off and no longer wants to use your service. Surprise. The mileage for me- I drove it a total of 2 miles. The uhaul store pickup closest to my housing was a mile away. The uhaul staff called me and asked if I could change locations and they would give me a credit, so I said yes. However this new location was in a very odd shopping center at a corner store bodega. Why? I had no idea where to even pick it up, never in my life have I picked up a uhaul from a random person at a random corner store that has zero affiliation with uhaul. I guess uhaul lets people do this now? I found it very off putting and unprofessional. It did not feel good or safe to pick up from. And it was very confusing process with no explanation. I rented a dolly and moving blankets. Got the dolly, not a blanket, I want my $5 back. I’m happy about the credit but not the experience overall. Next time I’d rather spend my money higher movers with a truck. Bad vibes all around. It’s gonna be a no for me
