Have a person at a counter and make it obvious where the counter is. There was a literal shack where the trucks were. I didn’t know the office was behind me and across the street.

the FM radio in this relatively new vehicl was not able to pick up local channels, perhaps an issue with the antenna connectivity
ERIC KOvercharged on mileage. I rented for 2 days, seems like I was charged for 3 days, and I went nowhere near 40 miles.
David RGreta service!
Bruno ROpen later. Would be better.
Nick CGuy at the desk was rude and insulting when I picked up the truck, then overcharged for gas at the door and because they had a faulty sensor. Same guy refused to actively help resolve the situation and told me I'd have to try texting his boss to get my refund, though the number he gave had no voicemail or ability to leave messages. The mgr has 0 care to take care of this in a timely fashion, no other qualified person on site to handle it, and no urgency in actually handling customer complaints. Will not go back, def will do the opposite of recommend these folks to others. In fact I will go out of my way to use someone other than uhaul for the rest of my moves of this doesn't get resolved.
kendra vMake pick up easier on the weekends
Duke GOverall very easy transaction. Uhaul called and tried to get me to switch to a Uhaul in Bakersfield to "guarantee the reservation", but that would have meant a lot of extra driving and mileage. I am glad I stuck with this location. All good and smooth.
jayce bGreat service
jason cAlthough I should have read the contract on the phone more closely, I didn't think I was paying for insurance because the agent never asked me about it and never pointed it out to me in the contract, otherwise if I had a choice I would not have needed it. It wAs an extra charge for me. I think the reading on gas was incorrect and I was overcharged on this item. I noticed these two items I am talking about were complaints listed in reviews. Apparently this location may have a practice of over charging.
Richard DI went to this dealer weeks before renting as wanted to see vehicles available. The man only told me to look at the outside and would not show the inside. On the day of rental, as I walked into the office a large dog barked ferociously at me and I screamed in fear. The dog was off leash and owned by someone sharing the office space. The dealer thought it was funny. I have been attacked by dogs and had my dogs attacked by off leash dogs and suffer PTSD. This incident stressed me out very much. The dealer, Joe, did not have me sign a contract to rent, only sent me a photo of the document, which I thought strange and said "Don't I have to sign something?" but he indicated ddno. He did not show or tell me anything regarding the 25-foot truck except that he was giving me the 'newest' one on the lot. I did not know how to handle the emergency brake and had to call him about it before leaving. I noticed that the fuel gauge said "208" miles remaining. As I began to drive the truck, it did not seem to have much power and didn't want to accelorate. I noticed that the fuel gauge kept shifting rapidly downward and indicated miles dropping quickly off the fuel gauge even though I had not traveled even 1 mile. The next morning I put in 20 gallons of gas at $5/gallon to cover for 100 miles. Estimator says 10 miles per gallon. I ended up going 191 miles in total. When I was within 10-15 miles of Lebec driving north on HWY 99, the vehicle began jerking and shaking, so I pulled off at the Grapevine exit and to see if I had a flat tire but there was none. I headed north again and noticed that the RPM gauge was higher than it should be and not shifting into next gear. During my drive time with the vehicle, I noticed that the transmission was not smooth and the brakes were mushy and not as responsive as they should be. The overall physical condition of the truck was good but the transmission and brakes were not. I was charged $42 in fuel costs. I would have had to traveled at least 75 miles to justify that cost. I believe poor transmission caused the vehicle to rev and use more fuel and UHaul should not charge me for this. One other thing of note, I called the dealer from Grapevine and told him I was close and would be there soon. He did not tell me where to park the truck. I pulled in planning to put it in the same location. There was an internet company vehicle there with flashing lights and I could not pull in, and so I parked it on the side of the road near the business. A woman living across the street with at least four large dogs told me not to park there. I went into the office and the dealer told me that lady had a court order against him and for me to move the truck which took me another five minutes. He said she was "crazy" and a "real bitch." Very unprofessional. He did not provide me any hard copy paperwork and said he would email me the final invoice. Then I saw the extra surcharge in fuel cost. The next person renting the truck would put in fuel, not this dealer, and so why would UHaul charge me. Plus the transmission acted up so much that I really believe the vehicle was consuming more fuel for this reason. I want the fuel charge removed reimbursed to me. I also want an explanation of the rental tax amount on the bill. The estimate did not include this amount. Thank you.
Melanie fI returned the truck with as much gas as it was when picked up, but they added 6 more gallons to make sure they got a little some extra.
Peter SWell, the guy that runs it is really kind of weird and strange has no personality at all and seems to be very independent. Not open on the weekends just kills me and he has no equipment like boxes and things you need to move. And yes the truck is in excellent condition and very comfortable and easy to drive and I enjoyed using the U-Haul truck.
Sandra MMake sure the customer knows exactly what to do
Kim CI opted out of insurance and was still billed for it. In addition they charged me an extra day.
Arron KMore signs/information on where the LockBox is located. I couldn't find it my first time returning there. The Uhaul operator led me to it the next time I returned there (,this time). Thanks.
RICHARD PNo recommendation going forward due to your association with Moving help. The site was great however I had 2 mover cancel on me and one was same day. No assistance in resolving this and you’re still recommending the movers. I’m looking at recharging them for additional costs incurred
Jaime DWhen I attempted to drop off the key in the box. A dog that guards the property attacked me and nearly bit me. I went back the next day when it was open and they didn’t even apologize. They said he wouldn’t actually bite me and he only acts like he wants to bite.
Joshua VUse of a "4-dial" type lock on the rear door to get the ignition keys. This would allow pickup on weekends because ACC is closed on weekends.
BRIAN CThe owner is KNOWN to be extremely late for 10am reservations/pick ups. His hours say he is open at 10am, HE IS NOT! It's terrible how he wastes the customer's time, especially during a move! Someone else needs to open a Uhual facility in that area! Don't waste your time, here!
Kandi SSo easy and convenient
William TVery rude person.
sandra rTo do an after hours/weekend drop off, the key drop box was a little hard to find in the dark. I was completely unable to make the cell phone report to U-Haul as I was directed to do. Electronic communication often doesn't work for me, especially in the mountains near Lebec, with spotty WiFi. A day after the drop, I received a verification code of 317111.
Clyde GWhen we arrived the truck was clean and ready to do. We were greeted with friendly service
Michael HWhen we arrived to pick up the truck the truck was clean and ready to go. They were friendly and Professional. Pleasant experience
Michael HI reserved the truck the day before by phone and was told by the owner, who is the single admin employee, that he was open until 4:00PM. I arrived at 3:15 and he had left. He left the key to the truck with the owner of a different company in the same building but left no instructions for that person to be able to handle the paperwork so that I could take the truck. That person helped me call UHaul headquarters and I was on hold for about 20 minutes before anyone picked up. The person who picked up didn't know how to handle the situation and just told me that it shouldn't have happened. Finally, the person who had the key helped me call the UHaul District manager who was driving somewhere. When he got back to his office, he was able to get on line and handle the checkout process with me over the phone. He was nice and helpful, but the whole process that should have taken 15 minutes ended up taking over an hour. This is the second time I have rented a truck from this UHaul outlet and the service was very poor.
Barbara WI was surprised when I received texts and messages claiming I didn't return the truck when I did. Maybe you should say please call, not you didn't return the truck.
Bernadette SCheck in person was cold and impersonal, did not provide any instruction on how to work the equipment/truck door and made us wait almost 45 minutes even though there was no one in the office. When I returned the truck, I was not provided a padlock even though it clearly states you have to lock up the door with a padlock so had to cram all equipment in the cabin when I returned. Additionally, I was charged for 4 gallons of gas even though I refueled before returning. I thought this may be a problem, so took a picture of the gauge before returning and have emailed uhaul customer service to dispute the charge.
Tamara IHe was the most unhelpful individual I had to deal with rented our 15ft truck to some one else on pick up day i had no choice but to take smaller truck this is second time i have problem with U-HAUL their representative are rude every where in USA i had the same problem in Oregon
Shoeleh FBad reviews with this person operating the company... apparently likes to scam people with returning vehicles. Was not a good feeling for me to leaving e it there.
susan sFew hours. For a previous one-way rental, he was unfriendly, inflexible and unhelpful.
Alan BThe tow dolly was not properly ratcheted on the left side.
Charles SGREAT but Westlake was a mess
Gregory HHorrible customer service rude and disrespectful...... gave us a dirty truck didn’t want to do a walk through with us and when I called customer service the lady I spoke to was rude as well she said “if your not happy don’t rent the truck” i asked to speak to a supervisor and I was told that he was busy and would get back to me in 48 hours I was on a strict time frame I had to get the truck. I have been using uhaul for a long time and if you look at my past history I have rented a lot this year but never again I was treated horribly and customer service didn’t care about this situation. Moving forward we will use budget rental
Agustin PProfessional and knowledge regarding size and vehicle suggestions. Thorough with explanation of cost and equipment use. I will rent U-Haul from this location for all future need.
roger bEverytime i rent from this location i owe additional fees i rented this truck two days not three days like i am being charged for i have spoke to this location and he said he was going to corrct it and its still not corrected and you guys are still trying to charge my credit card and now I am being assessed additional fees from my bank who is going to refund me the fees from my bank for.your mistake.
William RCouldn’t meet at requested time and didn’t correct it in the system.
Kent AEnsure that someone is there for pick up of uhaul and that they have the correct area code.
Kent AThis location has loos dog it charges , it is confusing, if you are going to be injured
ANDY AWe dropped off the truck the night before the drop off time. and iwe made sure there's enough gas that was required, so we wont get charge extra $40, and my driver said "yes" its good. but next day they the email, said there was extrcharge for $40 for gas, and that's alot of $, bcuz i'm single mom, and have financial hardship too. so pls make sure they didnt cheat us about that gas because we didn't take pics. if it's true can you at least waive some fees or just charge 1/2 price $20 and what's that $30 fee to pay by certain date? I never heard of it? I used to rent Uhaul truck before in Paramount and dropped off in Palmdale, they were better deal and no extra fees. so now ti's stresses me out because I have to pay so much for this rental. so pls reconsider and give me more discount on gas and waive any fees, and help single mom. I would really appreciate it. bcuz its too expensive to rent truck and hire pple to help move too, Thank you. Sophonna Valrie Nong
Sophonna NEasy to use and close to our new home, but no one was there so we just left keys in the box as instructed by phone. No problems thought at all!
FREDERICK Ogood people ,
ANDY AHorrible..
Elias Vclosed when returned
Patrick GGave me wrong info about my hitch and wireing needs at reservations phone call. Was never told that I would need a plate number for the vehicle I would be towing. This caused huge delays. The guy that rented me the trailer was trying to Make me wait an hour and a half for a different trailer coming because the guy didn’t want to unhitch the already hitch trailer for the next customer onto my car. make me wait an hour and a half for a different trailer. This issue caused my party huge delays and A run around in time from a guy due to his lack of people to help him move the trailer off to my car . Then the guy wouldn’t help me hook up the trailer to my car just walked away and left me with the trailer no way to hook up my lights didn’t know how to hook up the chains and sent me off I would rate my experience with the whole process very in adequate and unprofessional .
Ben SThe after hours drop off box asked me as a customer to leave a padlock on the back of the truck and drop off the truck keys and padlock keys to U-Haul. We instead locked all of the blankets and dolly in the cab of the truck.
Sarah MMake sure that you keep your promises. I was emailed total price 377 when I got there was charge 501. I saved the email if anyone cares
Sharon HI just dropped off a tow dolly and did not have contact with anyone.
MAUREEN WI've rented a number of trailers through this location in the past. This 26' truck was the first for a one-way drop off. I appreciate the help I get from your rental agent. Very helpful and instructive.
roger bNo instructions for leaving the car. No information online. Renting location did not have any information besides phone number about the drop-off location.
Florian HThere's nothing you can do. It was a quick and easy transaction and the people are very nice.

ANTONIO Neverything went well, courteous staff
Nicholas DThe problem was with U-Haul itself, more than this location, although the fact that it's a small location added to the problem. I ordered a 15' truck, perfect for my needs. But, unfortunately, that truck did not return to this location in time for me to use it so they offered me a 'free upgrade' to a 26' truck, which was not at all what I needed or wanted, but I was forced to use it or cancel my move. And because the truck was virtually empty, it bounced a LOT, hurting me AND the contents.
Elizabeth RReserved a 20' truck and 3 dozen moving pads. A day before, I was informed there wouldn't be a 20" truck. I was offered 15' or 26" I couldn't imagine driving the 26' truck, and my moving help thought the 15' would be okay. It wasn't okay and I had to leave a lot of stuff behind like 2 shop vacs, an expensive aluminum extension ladder, glassware, a cedar chest my bother made me 35 years ago, a microwave, etc. Also they did not have any moving pads when I got there. Not a good experience.
