On 1/30/2026, I reached out to a local hotel in the town where I live. I explained to the owner of the hotel that I needed to rent a small moving truck for only a couple of hours to move a few pieces of nice furniture across town, and asked if I could possibly get a discounted rate since I would be using the vehicle for such a short period. The owner explained to me that he was unable to offer such a discount. I understood. I then asked if he would honor my military discount, as I'm a United States Navy Veteran. He laughed at me and said they didn't recognize military services. I disappointedly accepted the denial and rented the vehicle. When I arrived to my home and opened the cargo door, I was not pleased with the filthy mess I noticed. It took me almost an hour to clean, sweep, mop, and wipe down the inside of the cargo area. I returned the truck about for hours after renting it and putting only ten miles on it, and informed the owner about the mess that need to be cleaned before I loaded my very nice furniture. Again he briefly laughed and said he was sorry. I also mentioned to him about my concern with the cracked windshield the truck had, as that could likely be a safety hazard, and also constitute a sanction from law enforcement. I was ignored. I feel that I should have gotten a better rate, or for sure a military discount for renting that filthy, and potentially hazardous moving truck. I will be using another truck rental company if I ever have the need to do so again.I do not enjoy leaving poor reviews, but I thought this was necessary.

Melissa KI was billed incorrect and had to take to 3 different people to try to sort things out while being tossed around the phone on hold. It eventually got sorted out. Over all it took me about 1 hour and 15 minutes in person to get this sorted, not including time on the phone while driving

The person on the phone was very difficult to understand! No sign to tell me where the office was at the motel. The units were in the back of the motel.
HAROLD KThe man who checked the equipment in did not even unhook the trailer. He told me to park in back and let me unhook the trailer. This might be a liability issue.i am a 60 year old woman. If the trailer causes me injury, uhaul is responsible. I should never have had to lift the tongue off the hitch myself.

Terry PPeople renting the equipment should be more informed about how to maintain/hook up equipment. Security chain was about 8 inches too long, looked like everyone just tried to twist it to shorten it but even after being twisted as far as possible there was still about 4 inches dragging on the ground. Since this is the only place to rent equipment i had to choose recommend to a friend box, otherwise I would not have.
mike Rthis location was very inconvenient for me, I asked to pick up in Moline near the airport. This was way out of my way and i was not happy about it. the truck was difficult to get into drive and reverse.
