I waited until this Uhaul office opened so I could report these matters to the Uhaul rep. He was very kind and courteous, and was apologetic about our terrible experience and the condition of the truck we rented. I gave him the gas receipt as suggested by the Uhaul rep in Clermont, but he could do nothing about reimbursing my added costs. He put me in touch with his District Manager (serving Habersham county), who listened to my complaints and concerns, but he could not resolve my extra costs before speaking to his counterpart covering the Clermont store. I gave him my phone number and he promised to get back in touch with me to see about resolving my issues and extra costs. It has been almost a week and NO ONE has contacted me to resolve this matter. Where is the accountability? THIS IS OVERWHELMINGLY DISSAPPOINTING.JIM H.

I had to drive one hour away to pick up the truck. We were picking up after hours and there was no WiFi making it impossible to get the truck. There was an employee still in the building but he refused to help us. We had to drive up the street to get WiFi and then we returned to the location with one WiFi bar and finally got our truck one hour and fifteen minutes later and then we had to drive one hour back to our house passing multiple locations as we got to pack in the dark. So when you see uhaul advertise 39.95 per day what they ACTUALLY mean but don't say is twice that amount because they charge you to pick the truck up and that amount to drop it off. Thought a little deceptive if you ask me. SteveSTEPHEN W.
I waited for over 10 minutes in the lobby with NO ONE there. I then called the 706 number for the location and a cell phone was laying on the counter that began to ring. About 5 minutes later a girl walks in, and does not apologize for me waiting with no help. She takes an extended time to film out the paperwork. I did state that I had been waiting for 15 minutes and had called. At this point she tells me that the cell phone I saw ring on the counter when I called the locations number, that even showed my name on the caller ID, couldn't be answered. I asked how was someone supposed to call there if the phone couldnt be answered, she looked dumbfounded that I caught her in a lie. When we walk out to the trailer I rented, she is not familiar with the process to hook the trailer and I asked her to step back so I could do it properly. Overall this location needs better training for employees on customer service and how to use the equipment before they get someone hurt by not hooking a trailer up correctly.JUSTON T.

Required to drive 50 miles to pick up trailer. We had made a reservation 5 weeks earlier and there are at least 8 U-Haul locations closer to me, 1 is 3 miles from me! Pick up location in Clarksville had moved, no signage for locating office, computer was down, had to input information manually, none of the registration info was available. This whole fiasco with U-Haul caused me to delay my trip by a day, which caused me to miss a doctors appointment in Florida. Bottom line is; I would use any competitor of U-Haul if there wqaas one. You are lucky you are pretty much the only game in town!David W.

I tried to do the checkout online when I got to the dropoff location but I'm not very good with the computer. I found the attendant & she was very helpful.Jere H.
Put the right fuel level down. It was at 3/4 tank when I picked it up so I filled it up a little over what it had in it. I got charged 20 dollars for 5 gallons when I had it filled up past where I got it from. I will never personally use u-haul again.JONATHAN G.
The 2 employees inside the store were unwilling to help with the rental process. They called an hour before my pickup time to let me know the truck was not available to rent. They weren't willing to call another location and secure a rental, they wanted me to do this myself. When I arrived to their location, they did have the truck size available that I reserved but they were unwilling to let me rent the truck. I advised that we would make do with a shorter truck and once again, they were no help in modifying the reservation. They were clueless about the reservation guarantee. Their â€œassistanceâ€ was writing down the 1800 number to uhaul and handing it to me. The truck that I was assigned had exhaust modifications and wouldn't drive above 45 miles per hour. I called the 1-800 number and was told the reservation guarantee credit would be applied to my reservation but it was not. I spent 2 hours at the rental location trying to resolve this issue. ThIs location is FINE. PEOPLE AT PICKUP: FINE. what is not okay is U-HAUL! ...THE INITIAL CONTACT. ... sending me to 3 places that were closed. In fact, this survey precludes them! How convenient! it's supposed to be of the pickup and drop off locations. So The first contact to u-haul wants me to use the website. UNACCEPTABLE! I needed speed because time is money and it took nearly five hours to rent a car dolly. I need to call a place to verify open and go to the physical spot to pickup. Simple is not easy. This was next to impossible in my experience on Labor Day weekend Sunday. The chain is only as strong as the weakest link U-haul, U-need help!ANDREW M.

Make it where if a return is 1 hour past the 24 hour window, someone doesn't get charged for a whole second day. I heave rented from U-haul many times. And this is the first time that has ever happened. $35 rental goes to $70 in an hour. Other than that, all was good.STEVEN R.

Nice girl did great job. Dealer needs to invest $50 in a uhaul trailer jack for putting on 6x12 trailers. Makes it so much easier for small girls to do RV trailer hookups and prevents back injuries.Tom V.
