Ted Nevels | Overall ExperienceReserved truck with dolly. The store didn’t have a dolly and the guy there basically just shrugged and gave me a number to call to find one somewhere else. I had to drive across town to get a dolly and when I got to the other location to pick up the dolly they told me that 400 Broussard was still charging me for the dolly that they didn’t have. They were able to fix this for me, fortunately. This added about an hour to my trip and was a total waste of my time. The truck didn’t run very well and had someone else’s clothes hanger in the back. I don’t think they really care like they do at other locations. Also, the entrance to the office was blocked off with a table? Is this some sort of Covid thing? Seemed weird and the attendant and I were basically just yelling across an empty room at each other.

The engine constantly stalled on us and because of it we hit another vehicle and now have to pay out of our own pockets to repair the damages to the other persons vehicle. Would not and will NOT ever use uhaul services again. To top it off we had to drive to a different pickup location and use mileage we shouldn’t have had to pay for to pick up a dolly because uhaul rented me one thru a reservation damn well knowing they didn’t have one available. Terrible customer service and terrible rentals!!
Ashley BurleighI was told I could drop the uhaul truck off at any location. However, I was turned away at a location because they were not the “drop off destination”. I was also told that it would be $.40/ every extra mile but it was actually $.99. Good service but the wrong information made the turning in process quite frustrating.
Harrison DorseyThey provided the exact experience you would like from a storage facility. They even had a couple of push carts to help carry things, they had timed doors so they'd stay open while you brought stuff to and fro. The staff is extremely friendly! Great experience.

Christian WoodinGet a *NEW* U-HAUL truck that actually has power steering!!! It will be a whole lot safer to drive! Until then...Clean out your truck's disgusting astray, and make sure truck is looked over before renting it out to another client. Found used drink bottles around the seats that we had to throw away ourselves so we wouldn't get penalized for it. We also had to pick up trash and sweep out the truck bed floor from previous renters so we wouldn't get penalized for that as well. When booking online to rent a truck, I couldn't get a military discount.
DeLisa DonnellyThe level of gas in the tank in the take was significantly less than what was claimed to be in there. Upon picking the truck up, I was told that it was “just shy of half a tank” however, the indicator hand was sitting right on top of the 1/4 tank mark. (I returned the vehicle with over 1/2 a tank) The truck had no dash lights which made it difficult to see the speedometer after sunset. The employee working there when I returned the vehicle was rude and unprofessional. (Young lady with dark hair.) She seemed to be inconvenienced that I was there. Never looking up to acknowledge me. Never glancing away from her phone screen. She stared at the phone the entire time while periodically asking me questions in a disgruntled and inconvenienced tone. I was ready to get out of there. However, the lady that checked me in when I picked up the truck was very nice, friendly, and informative. (Lady with light hair)

Please refund my entire amount, since I was directed to another U-Haul location and charged for another truck. You charged me $74.63 and I didn't use your truck (Contract #93384120). When I try to call, I'm on hold for 30 minutes before a person comes on the line. Y'all want everyone to do everything online but when stuff doesn't go right, like this time, then YOUR CLIENT has to wait for YOU to answer the phone. I am disputing this charge on my credit card.
Nancy RabalaisWent to pickup truck for 830. They didn’t have it and I needed to go to a different location for 930. There needs to be better communication on Uhaul’s end, if they sent me an email earlier stating that it was at a different location it would have been a much better experience.

Kurt Krummel | Overall ExperienceOne suggestion, have a mechanic take a look at the steering rack and transfer case of the one I rented. Steering was very spongey. Breaking was a tad rough for a uhaul so I would have the master cylinder and brake drum looked at as well. Nothing major, just a suggestion.

Linda RichardsonI was not informed that there was charged for mileage. Upon the return date of the uhaul I was told that I am being charged for mileage. I informed the corporate office upon signing my contract I was not informed about additional fees. I spoke with representatives on Sunday because it was not clear in when I needed to return the uhaul. I told the representative. I would be making another trip. She never informed me there would be extra fees applied if I did go over the mileage. This is very poor communication. I reviewed my contract and there was no information on the contract about overage.

Privacy Request | First ImpressionsThe truck quick running once we arrived in Lafayette and unloaded the items at the storage facility. We tried to crank it to take it to the gas station to put gas in it. The truck would not crank. I called UHaul and spoke with a representative, and I called the storage facility, which is a drop off point for UHaul, and reported the problem. I received a bill from UHaul this morning for $45.00 for gas. I should not have received a bill for gas. I was prevented from putting gas in the vehicle because the equipment failed to operate properly. You can improve for the next customer by not unnecessarily billing the customer when your equipment fails.

Houston RedmondThe third party renting company "Anytime Storage" did not give proper information and took no responsibility for any issues that came up. I was left with no help when the drop off place was closed. Also, the vehicle dash alarmed with a high temp. Anytime Storage was called and did not call me back with any information as what to do. I kept driving hoping the truck would not overhead and damage.

jonathan wisserIn all fairness, the place is new and the drop off I made must have been the first one they had. The lady attendant was neither friendly nor helpful. She had to call and ask someone how to check the trailer in. The emailed receipt was blank.
