Telling people to get insurance when there is no need covered on own policies. Calling 20 minutes before our scheduled pick up and saying a 5 x8 trailer was not available we could drive 3 hours north and get one but then called 10 minutes later and told us a 6x12 was dropped off way to big of a trailer but had to have it for the move. i paid at counter then got charged $174 more after even though the gas was one gage off from being halfway..... how is that $174 extra? i asked for $14 insurance... my receipt i was emailed says $28 for insurance. i did not ask for that.Breanna K.

The reason I used Apache sand was because the first place friendly auto in Mesa did not have a trailer available the reason was the computer system was down throughout the city. It was a real pain in the butt. I had a crew lined up to help lift the heavy stuff that I missed out on. Not only that friendly auto was not very friendly. They was rude in fact they was rude a week earlier when I had made the original reservation. And I will not use them again. The main entity that I am unhappy with his U-Haul. The computer systems was down the entire day damn it let people stranded throughout the system. Where I had reservations there should have been a better attempt made to continue to keep my business.Donald M.

Apache Sands location, system went down, I can't believe that Uhaul doesn't have a back up plan when locations loose communications. Not having a back up plan means $$$$ for U-haul.....Gary D.

This is my second or third rental at this location and the service is always EXCELLENT!! The 15' truck I rented was pretty rough and seems like it's reaching end of life (EOL). My suggestion is provide a discount of like 15% when you get these rough riding, hard to get into gear, total gas guzzling trucks. It cost me more than expected because of the super low mileage on the old beast.Janice C.

Oil light was on in truck. It needed service. Requested a hand cart, it was not in the truck. Had to wait until the store opened to get the hand cart. I came in 2 days prior to rental date to confirm everything so I did not have any problems. The attendant assured me I could purchase a 2â€ ball there needed to pull the trailer and that they could install it on my hitch. When I arrived on rental day (leaving on a 15 hour drive) I was told there was no 2â€ ball to purchase and they do not install anything. Honestly since moving to Arizona two of the most unhelpful people I have dealt with. I had to go buy a ball and then go to an auto repair to have installed on my hitch. What I learned is to deal with a Uhaul certified Dealer not a satellite location that carries a few products. Will NEVER recommend this location for anything. They do RV repair, towing and a multitude of things.... but could not install a ball on a hitch. Also when I tried to drop my equipment on the drop off location I was told the equipment hooked up was not the equipment that was on the contract. It was a HUGE hassle to drop the trailer due to it being the wrong equipment on contract. Very poorly mismanaged!!Jamie C.
We needed to extend our time to have the truck. So called the location and nobody would answer the phone. I left 2 voicemails that never got responded to. I even attempted to call the main Uhaul customer service numbrt and was on hold to the point I hung up.Patricia H.
I arrived at my Uhaul on time with my mobile device which told me that I had to wait for the store to open (closed Sundays) to find out (after a 25 minute wait on hold in the rain) that my truck that was confirmed wasn't there. I was given the address for another store to get a different truck. We drove 7 miles out of our way to find another closed Uhaul store. Now I get a text from Uhaul explaining they gave me the wrong address. The new address is about nine blocks from the first place. Hooray, there's a truck and an open sign lit in the window. The employee seemed a little confused but we figured it out. Only two hours of downtime with a $20/hour helper and we were on our way! Great truck, lousy service. Not even an apology. Thanks for making my moving experience so cheap and smooth (sarcasm).MARTIN K.

Better customer service. Had to wait a long time 30+ minutes before we even got the truck. Found out the ac didn't work which we think should have been known before we got the truck. Agent told us to go to another location but said they could not call to verify truck was actually available. We went to other location and sure enough truck was not available there either. We had to call transportation to tell us where to go for another truck. We did not receive the support we would expect for the situation.Matthew C.

Returned my trailer early on a Friday and was told I would receive an email that it was returned, which I never received. On Monday I called to tell them I never received the email and come to find out it was never checked back in. The gentleman I spoke with took care of it after giving him the some information and I received the email . I can only imagine what would have happen if I had not called on it. Customer Service was awful. The rep could have cared less I showed up that day. Prior to arriving I checked in on-line as suggested. This location could not find that contract SO I guess they created a NEW one?? Trailers were parked within 1 inch of each other, when the U haul rep abandoned me.. I had a horrible time just trying to get the trailer out and away from the other trailers so none would get damaged.Charles E.
