Truck engine light was on. Attendant said don't worry about it, but I was worried. I did not want the truck breaking down in the middle of a move. Service and attendants were great, but the concern over the maintenance and condition of the truck was not.

I would like to mention that the driver side mirror was broken, hanging on attached with zip ties. They did not mention this to me. I noticed it only after I had left with the vehicle and was on the highway. Because I needed the vehicle I did not go back and complain or exchange it. When I returned the vehicle they said it was my duty to check the vehicle before I rented it. Because the zip ties were black I did not notice this ahead of time. You would have had to closely look before being on the road to notice. The zip ties kept coming loose during transit and made the mirror unusable which was both dangerous and frustrating. I had rented the vehicle with 750 miles so they knew I would be driving long distances and thus likely need the use of my driver side mirror. When I asked for a discount due to this damage I was told I would need to talk to the owner. I think it was quite insensitive of the situation and would hope that they will fix this before future rentals. The vehicle was clean and did help me accomplish my task, however a broken side mirror is actually a big deal in city traffic with a larger than typical vehicle for a driver such as myself.

Truck was leaking water when it rained and got all my stuff soaked. Had to repack/box everything and check for damage. Not happy. Not locations fault. Trucks need to be maintained better!

You can make the price cheaper and offer daily rates rather than mileage charges. Over $120 for 5-6 hours rental for a truck is way too much in my opinion. The mileage fees are too high.

Have a truck available would be good. Having a truck available within 50 miles of where I live would be even better. Letting me know there is no truck within 50 miles before I got to pick it up would be really good, too. Reimbursing me 150 dollars as promised would be priceless (or at least $150.00). Also, having the number for Penske or Ryder handy for customers in my situation would be awesome.

When the pick up location is a gas station, one assumes there will be more gas in the truck than just over 1/4 of a tank. Also this particular gas station is especially unwieldy for getting the 26' truck up to the pump, especially when the gas gage indicates the tank is on one side, and then you find out it's on the other. The gas station attendant is too busy serving station customers to attend to the Uhaul customers. It took me 45 minutes to get the paperwork, gas up and drive away.

Truck needed repair could not open back of cab don't send someone who was suppose to pick up a truck in fortuna all the way to Arcata I've rented uhaul for more than 40 years would you put your 68 year old mother in a truck the back does not open??? We greased wheel bearing 3x with wd40 and it still took a strong man who had to strain to get the back of the truck open and gas is too high at pick up place. Stop sending your junk trucks on a 860 mile 1 way and sending your customers to locations they did not choose. I ordered this truck weeks before arrival and when I went to rent it I was told no truck was available the dealer put the word out to get me a truck. You are suppose to call a customer way in advance if you have no truck for them. This was a junk truck they wanted to send on a one way. It had been in an accident very noisy cab because the cab was glued on very vary disappointed. The dealer run a small gas station grocery store the trucks are across the street in a field he c ant leave his store to help. For around town 10 foot trucks I would recommend this dealer

I would like my $50 money back guarantee on this rental. I was promised that there would be a auto transport dolly available at the eureka location and when I arrived the dolly was not available. I had to drive to Arcata which added an additional hour to my commute withe drop off. A complete inconvenience what is the point of a reservation if it's not honored

Truck was filthy, goopy stuff in the cup holders, greasy stuff all over the seats. I mean this was the most dirty uhaul truck I have ever picked up. Staff at this location also tried to charge me cleaning supplies and I had to clean the truck myself. This location is very disappointing. I highly recommend going to a main location instead.

The store was filthy. They did not follow COVID precautions. The truck was filthy. They had the wrong gas level recorded for check out. I corrected that but was concerned about being charged. Generally, the service was slow and inattentive.

I don't feel as though the truck was cleaned. In the time of Covid, if you had the pick-up location deep clean the trucks interior, I think I would have had a better time driving. I wiped everything down prior to my trip, then wore a mask and gloves. So I guess either quick interior cleans with wipes or something for guests will be great. The guy told me that these are moving fast and that Uhaul is overbooking. These trucks could be little Covid incubators if not cleaned consistently. Maybe they are and I over looked it? My truck was dusty and there was food left over from the last person. I also picked it up in a dirt lot over half a mile away from where I scheduled to pick it up.

Make sure the people completing reservations are fully trained in all U-haul policies and do not give incomplete or inaccurate information. That said, everyone I talked to was very helpful and friendly despite that.

Our truck broke down 45 minutes into a long trip. It took 4 hours to get us back on the road putting us way behind and now having to drive in the dark which we were trying to prevent. This is the third rental my husband and I have had and each one has broken down.

Great customer service. I believe the equipment was maintained as well as possible. By that I mean, it looked like all the shitty U-Haul Equipment in America was brought to that location for them to rent out. It was clean, but looked like it just finished a tour in Iraq. The site was clean, and customer service was/is top notch. But they're options for rental looked beat to shit. The place where I dropped off my truck quickly hid the truck I rented around back.

It started out great. Quick courteous service. And then halfway to my loading site I noticed the check engine light was on as well as a check gas cap light. When I called to report, I was told “oh yeah, that's because the last renter lost the gas cap, so it was replaced with a different one. As far as the check engine light, yeah sorry you should have it checked out...you got the insurance” Seriouly?

I had to go to a different location to actually get the truck, but the mobile check out process made me bring it to the original location to check it out, and I had to take it back to the other location when I was done and bring the keys back to the first location. It was very confusing and inconvenient. Dissatisfied.

When i had to exchange a broken defective truck for one that worked- the gas station employee had no training in how to help me at all. Management should have come to location to assist if the employee was that confused. It took hours to sort out. Also management never signed my original insurance form and the replacement truck was very dirty.

My experience was terrible. The shopkeep left to go home and locked the door as I got there. Then the next shift person didnt come until 30 minutes later. Then the shopkeep refused to use my gift card because he did not know how, and he messed up my return location. I would rethink how uhaul runs this location.

this is more of an issue with u-haul rather than the location itself. I was shoe-horned into purchasing a more expensive vehicle because the one i reserved (that was available at time of reservation) was not available. u-haul would NOT honor the original cost and made me upgrade in order to continue with my scheduled moving plans. terrible business etiquette.

This location is primarily a gas station. Customer service was interrupted by people buying gas and snacks and drinks. The attendant was friendly, courteous, and knoledgeable, but the time it took to complete the transaction took longer.

I've always liked renting from this location. The truck should have not been rented out however. It had a bad exhaust leak that caused it to be so loud that I had to buy hearing protection to drive back from my pick-up location. I found customer to be cursory, if not curt; and certainly not helpful. I have found this is often the case with Uhaul after they have rented you the equipment. It was an irritating and frustrating day. I do like renting from this location however.
