Customer service was great but stated the gas was a quarter tank but as soon as I left the parking lot the gas light came on so I fueled up with $20 and left gas exactly how I got it.

ZOLTAN SMy issue isn’t with this location, it was the reservation. I received a call 45 minutes before I was due to pick up the trailer to be told the location that I had selected a month ago when I made the reservation no longer has the trailer. And if I wanted the trailer it was going to take me two hours out of my way to do so. Not a happy camper about that in a frustrating experience that U-Haul could not contact me earlier than 45 minutes before my pick up.

I had to go to three different U-Haul locations to finally return the trailer.!… The one 800 number personnel and the supervisor that took over were very good and solved the problem! Hard for me to believe after as long as U-Haul has been in business, it could be that difficult to return the trailer. Very sad.!…

Anthony BWe dropped off using the app. Plenty of parking. Still, I'm not sure why we had to drop-off at a location 20 minutes away, instead of one of the THREE other U-haul locations that are closer.
CHRISTOPHER CDolly was not in truck. Had to go back inside, it’s not close, and was told “ oh you did online so it was missed” or something very similar. Excuses before or in my case no apology. Horrible customer service to blame me for online check in and then once again, no apology. Oh and truck was not cleaned out. I opened the passenger door and a coffee cup fell out. Back was not swept out and there was dirt and pine needles inside the cab
Donny CIt was wonderful. They contacted me to make sure I knew where to drop off and answer any questions I may have. It was a pleasant experience and I would like for everyone to have the same positive experience that I had.

Billy RI signed up for loading help on both ends of this drive. I never heard from anyone, and when I called the number they gave me, the day before the trip, I was on hold for over 30 minutes and never got through to anyone. We ended up loading and unloading everything ourselves, but that was a disappointment.

JOSE VWhen I got to the location to drop the auto transport off, unload my car to drive home, there was no one there that knew how to unattached the car from the transport. I know I have to drive the car on and off the transport, but the U-Haul personnel are to hook it on and unhook it after the trip. Then the next morning when I came back to turn the truck in another employee told me it was my responsibility to hook my car on and unhook it! I've rented with you before and have never had to do that! I wouldn't even know how! It was the worst experience I have ever had with U-Haul . Maybe you shouldn't let a hardware store represent your company.
BEVERLY MDirections and location of this Uhaul rental center are very unclear. It is inside a True Value hardware and there is very little signage. While the service team was very nice, the Uhaul "portal" was down -- so we had to wait for it to go online again. This was no fault of the team doing the work - just seems like uhaul's portal is not very relaible. The trailerr was in fair condition -- very scratched up on the exterior but otherwise okay.

Daryl BI dropped it off and it won’t let me submit pictures of the u haul. But I dropped it off at the exact location I was told to drop it off. Will have pictures anyways in my phone and will call u haul tomorrow

TODD Emy drop off location was supposed to be in San Luis Obispo but they had me go 20 miles one way to drop it off. After driving 7 hours I had to add another hour to the drop off. if you don't have a drop off location at my requested spot don't let me pick it.

SOFIAAN FIt took over an hour and a half to get the rental because of the employees messing up the checkout process and not knowing how to correct it. They were very confused and obviously not well trained. Very poor experience.
DUSTIN RI would suggest clearer instructions for after hours drop offs of trailers or other rented equipment. I appreciated the after hours drop off option, but it was at a location where I had never been before and I had some uneasiness about it. A map of your drop off location parking lot and where the unit should be left would probably be helpful.
MICHAEL NI am very grateful for the location being so close to my house. The tow went well. One area for improvement would be for the staff to ensure the tie straps are loosened before I leave since they were on very tight and took me a long time to undo before loading up my vehicle. Lessons learned. The staff were very kind and polite. I just don’t think the strap check is in the protocol. Would be great if it was! Thank you for the opportunity to work together.

GREGORY POriginally tried to drop off a Prado Rd location in San Luis Obispo. Owner/boss was not accommodating. Actually, he came across as arrogant. The clerk at the window awas nice but clearly not in control. Will not rent from these guys in future. Lady at AG location where I was eventually told to return 4 x 8 was extremely nice and understanding. AG is where I will rent in future!
Gregory JRented a flat bed trailer to tow my car. Everything went great! Tie down straps were in perfect condition. Easy access to the trailer to hook up and disconnect without blocking others. Helpful and friendly staff made it a pleasant experience. Convenient hours - open on Sunday. Great location is close to my residence. The only issue was the price recently went up from $54.95 to $69.95 plus tax. Thanks for the excellent service.
SOFIAAN FEvery customer is on a time limit when it comes to moving. It would make things a whole lot smoother if you are picking up both the r vehicle and trailer at the same location at the same time. These items were reserved at the same time.

Sara BOur truck was not returned that we reserved...and therefore we were forced to drive 20+ minutes to another city, when the Uhaul is literally a 5 minute walk from my house. When I asked for a discount we were given a $50 discount. When I found a ride to the next city I asked the Customer service rep if we could please return the Uhaul to our location. He said that would make sense and called the corporations to confirm. He was told no, as it was inconvenient for the other shop and they needed at his location. So we were inconvenienced instead.
MICHELLE PTheir was no parking for the giant 26' truck. Honestly my overall experience with Uhaul was disappointing not because of the location or staff but because of the equipment available and reservation service. I was upset that I made a reservation a month in advance for pick up in Salinas for 15' and ended up with a 26' in Monterey after begging not to have to go to Santa Cruz cuz or Los Banos. I would have cancelled my reservation if I had to go that far to pick up the truck. My house to house travel time was about 2hr and having to go to Los Banos or Santa Cuz would have doubled the time.
Salvador SWhere I was finally able to drop my rental off was awesome. But the first place I tried was terrible.
MARK MEmail confirmation had a different pick up and return time than what was discussed in person. A phone call was made to confirm the actual time and was told all was OK. Day of rental, got a call from the location asking if we were still planning to rent the truck since the pick up time had come and gone....the wrong pick up time. We arrived at the original time scheduled and all was well.

CLIFFORD GI rented a moving truck for 1 day and was overcharged. I will be visiting the store that I rented the uhaul truck from to find out why they overcharged me.

CHARLES MLocation was convenient, Manager well-informed and efficient, however we were not informed of early (3 pm) holiday closing and barely made it back in time. First truck checked out (TM2728M) we would not take from lot due to slipping clutch. Staff reported repairs were necessary. Thankfully another vehicle was available. Vehicles could have been cleaner.
