JAMES LWe had to hook up the trailer by ourselves. Fortunately we have enough experience with trailers that it was not a problem. We could have asked for help, but it was the first time we had been allowed to take the trailer without supervision. When we returned the trailer, we were helped with parking and unhooking. Hence the rating.

STEVE MIts U-haul, I didn't expect much and that is exactly what i got. The most disappointing thing about the trip was the fuel situation. The gentleman who i rented from told me the fuel tank was very large...he said "I think 120 or 130 liters". So based on that math and the trip I was making When i added fuel i expected to put in about 70L which I did. The only problem was that by the time my trip was done the truck had over 3/4 of a tank of fuel. I only needed to return it with 1/2. That means after having an average experience at best I also got screwed out of gas money. I was either told a lie on purpose or the guy at the location didn't know what he was talking about. I drive a pick up truck with a big tank....I would have done better if he said nothing. I asked about it upon return and got the standard answer...oh sorry there is nothing i can do about it.....absolutely brutal customer service. I will make sure to share my experience with anyone and everyone i know in this small town. Unless of course U-Haul does the right thing and reimbursee me. Regards Rick Agar 647.227.4004

WESLEY BWaited until the day before I picked up the truck to tell me desired size was not available. Then when I picked it up, was told that the appliance cart I requested was not available either. Would have been nice to know earlier so I could have made other arrangements

KRISTEN FThe location can't do self-check in and you can only pick up during open hours which was almost a problem as they don't open until 2:00 pm on Sunday. The truck itself was from Arizona, had speeds in miles and did NOT have air conditioning (the dial was clearly glued to the "off" position). The truck was noisy but clean.
Jennifer VWhen i dropped off the truck. They said every thing was OK. They gave me a receipt i left. When I dropped off the truck it said 51 miles left to empty. When I got home I read the receipt. It shows they charged me $40 gas. They toke my money! I am very unpleased.

FELIX AGet new person to run it. I booked for 2 days only used it for 1 day no refund...and I waited for someone for 45 mins to talk to because they were in there house eating and not serving customers. Literally nobody in the store for 45 mins Totally useless staff. Unimpressed after years of using uhaul. I'll use Ryder next time.

bonnie nScrap wood in back of cube van which the agent did clean up. But shows the agent who “cleaned” the vehicle did a poor job. This location has little in the way of boxes etc, necessitating a drive to a distant location for boxes.

Paula BI originally booked a truck for the Wingham location with ample notice. I was disappointed U-haul wouldn’t move a truck to that location. Instead I had to go to Listowel, which was 35 km (70 km round trip) out of my way, and incurred extra fuel usage. When I talked to a U-haul rep they said I would be given 70km free mileage but when I reviewed the bill I discovered I wasn’t. So this wasn’t a satisfactory experience with U-haul.
Ken WCar hauler was booked by phone the day before but was located so deep in snow that 4wd was needed to connect and remove it. The snow on the deck was higher than the fenders. Beneath the snow was 2 inches of ice that I also had to remove. The wheel straps had so much ice on them they were not flexible enough to use, they had to be thawed with hot water to use.

Merline hTruck had few issues steering and suspension wasn’t shifting proper which cost more gas. And seems prices went way up I’ll hope to find alternative resources next time

GORDON DI hate dropping equipment off without a person being there to receive it! Monday middle of day doors locked and no sign for hours.. tried to do the drop off thing threw the app but conveniently there’s no cell phone signal… had to drive a few mile away and call U-Haul to confirm the drop off. In my eyes not very professional business owner with no set hours or display of hours
michael kI dropped of the truck at 8:20 the drop off location did not open till 10:00 so I dropped the contract and keys in the lock box . There was lots of room to park.

Steve CLocation was great and very friendly. He did what he could for us. One tire was low in air and I was charged $40 for fuel when I brought it back with the same amount I picked it up with. However, I was very disappointed to have to pay for an intown rental when I wanted to drop our rental off after the move to Toronto. It is ridiculous I couldn't do one way, that the the reason people choose UHaul. It ended up costing me so much more money than it should have.
Tami SDidn't realize when I chose one option I was totally locked in and didn't realize what one way vs in town is for booking. In town seems very industry terminology and meant to confuse and I am really annoyed I had to pay double the mileage I could have gotten less but holding the contract just an hour or so after I picked it up, rather than a customer service focus means I will do everything I can to avoid another U-Haul rental in my lifetime.
