My customer experience was not only inadequate, but delayed our travel time. After getting the car trailer, my wife and I could not get the ratchets to work because they were so rusted. Further, we discovered that the latches had been improperly installed because in order to crank it you had to pull the ratchet up (which is the opposite of what the tutorial videos told us). We had to get several of our friends who had engineer backgrounds because customer service was more than an hour away. All of this delayed our leave time by more than an hour. When we arrived at our destination, because of the ratchet’s rusted condition, we could not even release the straps to get our car off. We had to call U-Haul customer service again, and they sent somebody out who admitted to us that the ratchets were so rusted and improperly installed that he had to put new ratchets on the car trailer right then and there. This delayed again our moving experience by more than hour. Overall, this was not a pleasant experience, and I am very disappointed by our U-Haul experience.

Laura HThey will try to scam you by charging you for fuel. I drove 11 miles and put one gallon of gas in before dropping off and then they still charged me for 5 gallons of gas when I only used one gallon in the first place. The guy on the phone was very rude and should not be in customer support
