The service I received from the original rental location (U-Haul at 4611 Coldwater Rd in Fort Wayne IN) was worse than normal. They did not have my tow dolly registration at pickup, when they had told me the day before that they did have one. After a 45 minute wait in line, they sent me to the wrong place which also didn’t have a tow dolly. Finally, we figured out that I needed to go to Auto House instead of Auto Connection. Auto House was good. I never got the $50.00 from the Coldwater Rd facility for them not having the trailer.
William SThe owner showed up an hour past my pickup time. The location was closed. He showed up wearing his car auction bidder tag, so clearly he had more important things to do. The trailers tires were flat the morning after I picked it up. I also did not get a heavy lift cart which I ordered and he told me it was the drop off locations responsibilty to reimburse me, which was inaccurate information.
Kristi CI had a mobile pickup. When I arrived, it said no equipment was assigned to me. I waited a long time before the worker arrived and gave me keys. The truck had 3 miles until empty. I confirmed with the worker that was correct. He didn’t even check anything on the computer to confirm it, nor did I get a receipt stating initial fuel level. He only said “yea yea that’s right”. I barely made it to a gas station. When I returned the truck on a one-way rental, the other location said the truck started with 25% full tank. The truck also had a check engine light when I got it. The worker took off quickly in a UHaul (likely why the gas was near empty on mine - from him joy riding), so I couldn’t question him on the engine light.

Mhd AMichael Topalov was so hard to reach contact with. Stopped in initially the week before to make reservations and was told computer was diwn and I would receive a call. Never got one. Next week stopped in M-
carol sDid the mobile check in but had to go inside and wait for 10/15 minutes because guy gave my truck to a girl that was inside that hadn't even started checking in. Was a little frustrated about that but all in all it happens.

Gary RDrop off was further than intended and therefore caused us to go over mileage. We ended up paying a fee due to uhaul not having a truck at our requested location and also changing our drop off location.
Audrey DShawn went out of his way to make sure I was happy with the rental and the temperature was below zero. He warmed the truck up and added some extra blankets at no charge. Great service.

Christopher HThe return process after hours was horrendous. My family and I had just suffered through a very long, difficult move, it was late in the day, and we had a two hour drive ahead of us. Instead of a quick, efficient return process, I had to use a phone app that was slow to respond, and take numerous photos of the interior and exterior of the truck when an acknowledgement of the condition used to be sufficient. It didn't help that there was no gas station nearby so we had to waste time and miles hunting for one, which put us over the mileage limit for the rental.
ROBERT DEverything was great, highly recommend as compared to other U-Haul outlets in Fort Wayne. Out of a rating of 0 -10 I give them a 12. Unusually good service.
GENE HThe 6 x12 trailer I rented needed so work, Left direction was not bright by any means, the floor cross members were starting to rust so made floor soft. We also needed to put 40 lbs air in a tire we noticed was low.
George MSteve, the owner was super helpful and made the entire experience easy for me. He attached the trailer to my hitch, checked my signals and lights, and unhooked it when I returned.

Don LI ordered boxes online to pick up with my truck. They did not have boxes at this location for pick up. The worker on duty was not very friendly or helpful. The pick up and drop off process took forever due to the extensive steps and slow website.

Jeff GThere was no internet service at all so when I returned the truck at 5:45 pm, no one was there to get the truck. To return the truck online required a location on the site, but there was no internet. My husband and I tried calling customer service and wait time was over a half hour. Someone came on, we told them the situation and they put us on hold for another half an hour. I finally got through on online chatting. After I had already dropped the keys in the box and went home. I knew to take pictures of around the truck and the gas and milage through previous experience. This was by far the worst Uhaul experience ever.
Gerard SWhen the trailer was hooked up by the team at this location, the safety chains and light wiring were left too long, so they touched the pavement at times, wearing through the light wiring!
PHILLIP TThe truck was filthy. Had cigarette ashes all over the inside . Was covered in some sort of brown sticky mess. They over charged me . Transaction amount does not match the reciept. When we called to ask why I was charged $240 instead of $122 her response was " Well my answer to your question is i dont know " Watch your bank account on this one guys!

MATTHEW RThe question about equipment does not seem to relate to this specific location. The truck was old and dirty, inside and out. The box hand multiple obvious patches and was covered with x's from previous damage. The steering had so much play that it was difficult to drive and the shocks seem to be shoot. Fortunately, it got us to our destination without mechanical problems. Overall, i would say this truck is a disgrace to the U-Haul brand.
