There was nobody on-site at this location when I arrived at nearly 10 am on a Wednesday. I had difficulty unhitching the trailer by myself. I found a concrete block and used my bottle jack to get it off my hitch ball.
KEVIN KThis is a fault with the equipment and has nothing to do with Auto Techs. I found it impossible to adjust the side mirrors which made it very tricky to drive in traffic in Wichita. There should be some instruction or other information in the cab as to how these mirrors can be adjusted. Online the suggestion was to use an Allen Wrench. I did not find one to use in the truck. tom
THOMAS WThe only thing I would change is informing the customer beforehand of the pictures you need to take. I personally took before and after pics of odometer and gas tank. Just in case but I didn't know the return process was going to ask me to take those pictures and I had already locked the truck so I couldn't turn it on to take the pictures with the app. Other then that everything else was fantastic.

KIMBERLY SThe address is wrong so the App won't let you pick up the truck from the location. I had to drive down the Highway a bit JUST to get the App to allow me to start the pick up process. No One is onsite - it is a garden shed. The Cell service is so poor - I was not able to complete the full pick up process. I got the keys and drove away.
JOHN Hno one was there. Dropped off the truck and it took them 3 days to process the return. ***The address is across the highway and down the road a bit. When returning or picking up - the Uhaul App will require you to drive away from the return location so you can sign in and start the process. I only knew this because I missed the turn a few days before due to the wrong address.
JOHN HThis location is beyond highest expectations. They brought personal vehicle to pick us up when our vehicle left us stranded. It was a holiday weekend, and the family was on the way to a picnic when we called, yet the owner took the call and went above and beyond to help us out. Incredible service no longer seen in this world. Service could not have been better.

Nathan JU-Haul themselves need to stay out of the mix.... Dealing with Auto Tech was perfect very helpful. Getting things set up thru Auto Tech was very easy, then U-Haul had to get it the mix and made it very chaotic mess.

James PCorporate saved poor service from Eagle Collision in Arkansas City KS. They reduced size to 20’ truck ( not getting 26’ on location). Corporate called and sent me to Winfield. Mr. Perrigo there was great. However, this did result in an extra mileage charge. Not happy with that but still appreciate that Corporate was on the ball. Just glad it was not farther away.

R.c. WSomewhat helpful but we had to call them before we dropped the truck off and they were at lunch. We left the truck there and went to lunch taking the key. Then I received a call just asking where the key was and I said we were at lunch and we would bring it back. Upon returning no one was in the building. We waited and returned the key and all that was said was I’ve been waiting for this and he left again. After having starting problems, waiting for the battery and kind of surly service we were glad to return the truck. It served its purpose but it was a long day. The customer service agent on the phone was very pleasant though and stayed in contact with us which was lovely.

Gretchen SPlease remember this location is closed from 1200 to 1300 during the week. They were very helpful and friendly when I got there but if I had not called ahead to check on my reservation I would have missed them.

Phyllis BWhen I rented the truck, I reset the tripometer. This device tracks the mileage and fuel usage. The trip said I got 7.9 mpg. My mileage was 202.2 miles. 202.2 mi / 7.9 mph = 25.59 gallons used. I put 26 gallons into the truck. The receiving locations decided the truck needed 3 more gallons and charged me for the additional gas purchase. I wonder if the gas really went into the truck???

Shawn MI got there to pick up a 26’ truck and I couldn’t because they had their catalytic converters stolen off of them and so I ended taking a 20’ and paying the price of the 26’ and I didn’t get any sort of compensation for my wait or having to take the smaller truck.

Kevin SWe spent at least half an hour trying to find the key drop box. Checked the doors of both buildings fire slots but no. Thought about leaving it under a bucket and calling in the morning. We finally left the key in an rusty old unmarked and unlocked box lying loose on the ground kind of close to ombre of the entrance. Didn't see anyone and they may be great people, but this was frustrating and concerning in that we may be liable for a stolen truck.
WILLIAM DOnly the second u-Haul once ever used, so not sure about excellent, but it was very nice, more than the other one I borrowed from 25 years ago! Everyone was very accommodating especially since it was a last minute decision based on the weather! We appreciated their expertise!

herbert CLimited availability of truck, no dolly and no car towing trailer. Had reservation for car trailer at Wellington KS u-haul site. But on day of rental, he just backed out of deal indicating he was not being paid enough to rent me the trailer and hook up the trailer. Had to make last minute arrangements with U-haul Center on S. Seneca in Wichita (Noah) who was excellent. WILL NEVER USE A U-HAUL SERVICE EXCEPT FROM A U-HAUL CENTER. The trailer and truck functioned well. The wide position of the rear-view mirror as well as the double mirrors both sides was essential. Brian at the Winfield site is a good guy and tried to provide for my requests, but I got the sense this was out of his control.

Kimmie HU-Haul is relatively new to Auto Tech, Brian will give it his personal attention to this endevor to assure it's sucess. I would rent from Briam again.
