We were told that the pick up location we had requested was closed the day we needed the truck so they changed it to B & G. We went to pick up the truck and there was a sign on the door that said “be back in a hour” or call xxx-xxx-xxxx. No answer and voice mail box was full. Finally call U-Haul toll free number and an agent was able to notify the guy that we were there and waiting. He called us back and told us it would be 15-20 minutes. He arrived back 25 minutes later. He apologized and told us that U-Haul had not notified him that we would be there at 10 to pick up the truck. We lost a lot of time that day getting the truck loaded and our workers we had lined up to help us load were there waiting. Also found out that our original place for pick up was indeed open! Can’t imagine why we were told they were closed as that would have been a lot smoother pick up for us. We are seniors and this change made things so much more difficult for us.
