MICHAEL OI had many problems with the U-Haul app. When I picked up the truck it took me an hour to use the app to first pick up the truck. The app froze several times and did not work properly. This caused me to lose an entire hour which led me to pay more than I was originally going to pay. The app is an overall terrible system to use for a business. Until this is fixed I will not do busniess with U-Haul ever again.

Marissa LThis was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. First uhaul location was closed despite being on google as open, second didn’t have any trucks and confirmed a one way truck 30 minutes away specifically telling me I could return it anywhere. They only had a 26 foot which I didn’t need but was going to do anyways until they said it could only be returned there which I lived an hour away and wanted to drop off at a location by my house. I Drove to the location 30 minutes away and rented that truck to only to find out later it was not a one way and could be returned an hour away at that location. Spoke with someone from their local uhaul dealer who said she’d give me a discount on mileage and waive the fees if I returned it to that location the next day and called her back directly when I dropped it off. I showed up and called her back to no avail with no answer. I ended up paying an extra $55 in fees plus an extra 30 miles to return it to that location. If I knew I was going to end up paying the fees anyways I would’ve just returned it close to home and paid the fees, but instead I ended up paying the fees plus 30 more miles!

William MWhile the app is a nice idea, it is dependent on connectivity to the internet and stability of the app. I did get everything to work but when I was having problems there was no help. The pickup location was closed during normal business hours and they did not answer their phone.

Joel BNot allowed to park personal vehicles in a safe place, must park in a driveway that may be hit by other vehicles in the area, owner says park at your own risk. A ‘risk-free’ place to park should be provided.
Ralph DThe people were wonderful and it was a nice experience with them; however, the truck we had was in severe need of work. There was an alignment, tire, or tie rod problem that caused a "floating" feeling when driving, as if the steering wheel wasn't controlling the vehicle. I had to hold the steering wheel approximately 2 inches to the left in order to go straight. Turning curve and changing lanes was scary, because the steering wouldn't "catch" until a certain point, then I had to jerk it back because it turned TOO much. In addition, the truck violently wobbled upon accelerating, which was scary. It was a terrifying 3.5 hour drive. I was not only "white knuckling" while driving, I actually had to pull off and cry at one point. That truck should NEVER have been rented out and I truly feel that uhaul put me and my husband's lives in danger. I am asking for a full refund, and I would like for someone from uhaul to contact me immediately.
