I am just so confused I literally completed a whole process online to rent this truck, provided pictures of my ID and gave my credit card. Yet when I got to the pick up location I had to do it over again. This was so confusing. Should I not have been able to just prove who I was and get the keys? The gentleman was lovely and kind but in a previous rental I did the same thing and just picked up the keys and left. Why so different?Terry K.

The location was great, but I have feedback for the mobile pick-up process for U-Haul: I was told ahead of time that I would need a smartphone with data connection (makes sense), but then during the process I ALSO needed further verifications that I wasn't told about ahead of time. Luckily I had someone available who could be called to verify me, but I would much rather have brought my passport if only I'd been told ahead of time.Sammy D.

I hate the fact you charge in miles and not km, makes it difficult to understand why the variance is so much higher than expected. Mileage charge is way to high no matter whether its miles or kms. it used to be a good deal now not reallyKate V.

Although Crystal (the Owner) has been superbly helpful in the midst of a difficult rental process, it remains that I would not be able to trust my next rental to Bait Casters. I arrived at 9:00am, the time when an employee of Bait Casters was supposed to open the store and I was scheduled to pickup my rented cargo van. By 9:30am no employee had yet showed up and a few clients that had been waiting with me decided to go elsewhere. As I was about to also leave after a few phone calls to U-Haul, the kind owner (Crystal) showed up to take over what the no-show employee was supposed to do. Crystal very efficiently took over my Van rental and I was on my way close to 10:00am. Unfortunately Bait Casters did not have a good inventory of rental vehicles on site (3 in total). I cannot imagine risking a similar stressful experience for my next truck rental. Missing my early departure unfortunately altered the course of the day's planning with elevators, moving, etc. The only very positive experience was the Crystal, who was SUPER GREAT to make it up for us in the midst of her having to leave her work place to attend to Bait Casters in the absence of her employee. I regret that I cannot offer a better review under the circumstances.Huguette C.
Uhaul changed/cancelled my reservation TWICE. First arrogantly changing my 24 hour truck reservation to only a few hours.... not even enough time to drive where I needed to be. No compensation or discount on next reservation offered, not even the "your reservation is guaranteed or we'll give you $50" so-called guarantee. A RESERVATION mean my truck is RESERVED for me, for the time agreed to, NOT you get to change it at will. Too late to find a truck somewhere else, I reserved a trailer.... and it didn't show up, so I was forced to settle for an expensive one-way trailer rental.... No compensation or discount on next reservation offered, not even the "your reservation is guaranteed or we'll give you $50" so-called guarantee.Kathleen K.

Uhaul is expensive for what I needed it for, but the job got done. The truck size was too big for the trailer, a pickup truck with a trailer is better. Also, there should be an option to have a rate fro a pickup with trailer combo as well.Julianne G.

E-check in wasn't working properly, so I had to check in at the counter. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Truck was dirty with some damage on the passenger side panel - but still functioning as intended and easy to operate. Online extensions were easy to set up. Final bill had an unjustified surcharge for fuel; manager responded to the complaint promptly and removed the charge.Audray M.

The alternator got faulty and we could not just drop off the vehicle to another Uhaul or leave it with the tow truck. We had to wait around 1.5 hours for the tow truck to inspect it. The Uhaul was empty and we had another vehicle there too, we all had to wait to find out if my Uhaul driver was going to need a ride or what was going to happen. Both pick up and drop off didn't work with the app/online service. We had to call Uhaul both times, then we were charged extra mileages when we only drove from our pick up location to our home, then our new home then drop off. When I picked up this moving truck, the instructions on the â€œmobile pick upâ€ was there was a lock box in the back of the truck, there was not. Maybe they left it in the back of the trucks on both sides, nope. After looking around you see these tiny boxes attached to the building. If it said that in the instructions it would have saved me 15-20 min of morning confusion. When â€œpicking up my truckâ€ online it asked me if the truck was clean to my satisfaction, I thought, yeah it's not spotless but it's a moving truck I wasn't expecting it to! Clean and fresh but the floor was dirty, whatever I thought. When I returned it. I was interrogated an hour after drop off when I got a call from the drop off locationâ€¦â€We have a big issue with the cleanliness of the truck, it's completely unacceptableâ€ I explained to him that's how I got it (mobile pick up should have all the before and after pics, identical) he said the back was unacceptable. I explained to him I had the truck for 3.5 hours and moved a Queen Mattress, box spring and headboardâ€¦..how could I possibly trash the truck ?? Very rude, very condescending. Definitely not impressed! I chose â€œ24/7 mobile shareâ€ for an easy, quick, convenient option, and it was not. Must do betterFadi D.

Had an issue with getting my key. All the time a person was in the location while it was not open, and could see I was needing help. They did not bother coming out to help. I then waited till they opened to get help. Wanted to pick up at 8am but had to wait till 9amShaiin C.
When we got the truck home and opened the back door there was 2 bags of garbage several used moving boxes some with garbage in them and about a dozen moving blankets all in a heap on the floor. We did not ask for or need the boxes and blankets. When we were not properly instructed on how much gas to put in the truck prior to returning it. This resulted in us spending an additional $75 in gas. Explanation: the truck was a little over 1/2 full when we picked it up and were only told to fill to the same level. We tried to accomplish this by having someone watch the gas gauge while a second person pumped the gas into the truck. Since the gas gauge in the truck was not working properly we over filled the truck. Upon returning the truck we asked for a refund on the gas but were told we could not get a refund even though the truck full instead of a little over 1/2 full.Paul M.
