Uhaul's business practices are atrocious. Rental locations are independently owned and not responsible for maintenance of the equipment, and it's very often broken. As it was in this case. And I spend about 1 1/2 hours on the phone with Uhaul corporate to try and get assistance without anything being provided, eventually just gave up out of frustration.

Peter TAt this site, the truck's check engine light was on, it had 1/4 tank of gas and the wheel alignment shook the vehicle. The person there was nice. At 30 Nighbor Place in Ottawa, where we loaded that truck from the U-Box that came from N. Vancouver, the people were great. So too with the N. Van personnel. Where I started, in Gibson's, the man in charge there was nice but hard to reach and wasn't a good listener. I have 2 separate disputes that I've sent in regarding the emails and their discrepancies. Even though my possessions made it here, which I'm grateful for, it was frustrating due to texts and emails saying wrong things about charges, arrival times and my reservations. All in all, I'm glad I got my things across Canada okay and I'm waiting for an overcharge on the rental above to be rectified.
sherry mI was informed by the employee that the manager double booked most of the trucks, so many people had no vehicle even though they booked it. Too bad for you (and me)!
