louis marcadoI arrived at 5:30 a.m. to pick up my truck and it was not ready nor with the app allow me to pick up the truck. U-Haul app kept saying there is a equipment missing from the truck therefore I cannot pick it up. After speaking with the representative at Ace Hardware he advised that I have to come back later and get a different truck because the one I ordered the back door will not close. Later that evening when my transaction and moving was complete, I received the receipt via email and identified a $15 charge for insurance that I specifically declined twice. Hopefully when I speak to U-Haul tomorrow morning I will be able to get the $15 reimbursed.
ANTHONY WILLIAMSThe location couldn't support the issue I had- the broken door on the U-Haul truck and the lights not turning off on the truck. This location SHOULD have been aware of the issue with the door and not have rented this truck. I know it was Sunday but if these locations can not support an issue because of it being Sunday then they shouldn't rent the equipment on that day. It wasn't the location's fault the horrible experience I had with the tech that came to fix the door---which by the way the door wasn't fixed. My family and I did a work around for the door issue since we just had to get done.
Anjallia ChaseI had trouble returning the truck with the app after hours, (though staff were still on site to help me). Instructions on the key drop box were to "scan the label to get started" and I could not figure out what to scan. I retrieved my rental agreement where there were two different kinds of bar codes. The first one turned out to be for roadside assistance, and the second seemed to be to rent equipment. Then they helped me. These instructions could be clearer.

DANIEL HORTONFront desk lady was awesome. Used a 15 foot with ramp because I had to load a heavy barbecue- went a total of 3 miles and the gentleman that checked me out charged me $10 for gas. He said it was above the 1/4 mark and now at 1/4. He confirmed 3 miles was all that I went had truck about 30 minutes. I always go to the Barry Ace Hardware but told him I will not be back. Sorry but $10 for 3 miles is unacceptable.

QUIENNELL LIENWOODNegative experience with U-Haul. This company should not even bother offering online or phone based app reservations. They cannot manage a simple process and communicate across locations. The location was changed 3 times in 1 day for our rental pickup. The day of rental pickup, I received a long overly wordy text message that should have just stated in plain language: "YOUR RENTAL PICK UP LOCATION HAS CHANGED, HERE IS THE NEW LOCATION". Instead, it required calling an agent directly for a same-day reschedule. In the end, we agreed to the location change but it was CLOSED ON A SUNDAY so we were left stranded in a parking lot without access. While they will cover themselves by repeating their TERMS OF SERVICE back to you, as a customer there is no guarantee that the rental equipment you need will be available on that date and even less reliable is the promise of where to pick it up. Something needs to improve on their business communication and management side to win back my trust in their service. Sorry Phoenix, but UHaul is NOT the way to move.
heather wrightHas nothing to do with this location but I definitely would not offer to your customers the help with moving people…everything about that is terrible and should never be offered they are unreliable and it is impossible to speak with anyone when things go wrong. They are not close to the caliber of U-Haul. Your customer service is wonderful.

JOHN DRILLINGYou can improve by not false advertising & very poor customer service. i want my money back, the guy in the register said to my face that i wasted his time by telling him the check engine light was on & the uhaul van was making a weird loud noise & that i didnt feel comfortable driving that one. i made my choice online & checked availability which is why i went here in the first place.

JUSTIN JASSOI am a bit upset at the lack of communication I experienced with Uhaul. I reserved a 10in truck for the location at Dunlap near 21st Ave. When I arrived at the Dunlap location..I found out My location was transferred to Glendale near 19th Ave. No one communicated this information to me. The truck issued to me seemed to be old and it didn't run smoothly. Not sure how often maintenance is performed on your trucks. And my biggest gripe is the fact that I had scheduled a mover to help assist me with loading and unloading the truck ..just for the bed, sofa and file cabinet when I initially called to reserve the truck. The representative I spoke to by phone assured me that a helper was contacted and would contact me. Again, no communication and no helper to assist me with my moving. I miraculously was able to load the truck myself and then a friendly neighbor help me unload the truck. Thank you for listening. Glen Rushing 424.230.4704
