James D07 Apr 2025 Good afternoon, I hope you are doing well! I have a complaint, I would like to make you aware of. I think you should be aware of this. I am hoping on-the spot correction will do. References: 1) Contract #: 29393003 2) Dispatched from: 49403 BL: I work very hard for my money, and I expect adequate (good) customer service. UNSAT: U-Haul Representative - “Brandon" was highly unprofessional, confrontational, lied and very rude to me as a valued customer this morning. Brandon had a “very bad attitude and demeanor.” Backstory: This morning approximately 07:30 AM, I arrived at U-Haul at 308 S. Primerose Drive, Orlando Fl 32803 to pick up at 10 Ft U-Haul Truck, which I reserved in-advance. At this point (early in the morning), I was having an excellent morning as usual. As, I went to park my personal vehicle, Brandon who was the only one on site at the time, serving as the U-Haul Representative, approached me and said “you can’t park there!” in a nasty, unprofessional, crude and abrasive tone. He just had a very bad attitude and demeanor! He did not say, welcome, good morning, hello. He was not kind, nor polite and in my mind and didn’t represent U-Haul in a positive-professional way. Nonetheless, I said to Brandon, okay, no problem, I will move, but yesterday when I called Shiva (another U-Haul Rep), Shiva said to me, I could park here. Shiva said to me, no problem. In my opinion Shiva was kind and very accommodating to meet my needs. I said to Brandon, do you know Shiva? He said NO, which was a lie. I believe Shiva is his supervisor, if not one of the owners. We expect U-Haul Representatives to always tell the truth, be professional and have integrity beyond reproach and NOT lie to customers. Not a good look for U-Haul, regarding Brandon. Fwiw: The day before, I had called in advance and talked with Shiva about parking, so there wouldn’t be no issues or problems when I arrived the next day to park my car and pick up the U-Haul Truck. Nonetheless, I parked my car at a different spot after Brandon directed me to move my vehicle, and I walked inside of the U-Haul establishment, to finish the paperwork and pick up the keys to the truck. When I went inside of the establishment, I still was in a good mood. Brandon continued to be very nasty, unprofessional and rude to me with his tone-of-voice and demeanor, directing me to go around to the other window. I did go around to the other window. He treated me like un-valued customer and dampened my day. He treated me like dirt in my opinion and my money to the U-Haul establishment, was not welcomed. He was very disrespectful and not a kind person to engage and make me feel uncomfortable at U-Haul. U-Haul customers don’t deserve this form of unprofessionalism and child-like behavior. Nonetheless, inside of the store, he proceeded to get my information for the U-Haul truck. I was kind to Brandon and respectful. Then abruptly - either (Shiva or Akbar) called his phone during my engagement with Brandon and was on “speaker” to give him instructions and to let him know, he would be in the establishment soon. I mentioned politely to Brandon, that was possibly guy that I talked with - wrt parking the other day and do you know him?” I had picked up on the accent. Brandon didn’t say anything, because he knew he was caught in a straight lie. Brandon knows who Shiva was! Shiva is his supervisor, if not- one of the owners. Brandon? UNSAT and Very Unprofessional. After he was done talking with the U-Haul Representative (Shiva or Akbar) over the phone. Brandon, just stormed out of the store child-like, without saying anything or acknowledging me. So, I stood there in the store, wondering and waiting for further instructions. I waited in the store, thinking Brandon was going to come back and provide instructions, like either follow me to the truck or I checked out the truck and everything is good-to-go. But he didn’t. Then, Brandon storms back inside of the establishment and said, “here” and just abruptly gave me the keys and walked off, with a very bad and nasty child-like attitude. Brandon was acting like a toddler. At no time, he never once - showed me the truck that was being assigned to me, nor did he perform a walk around the truck with me to make sure everything was okay. Note: During this entire ordeal, he never had good manners. He never said, welcome, good morning, thank you, can I help you? Have a great day, appreciate you being a U-Haul customer, etc. He just had bad very manners. BL: As a Retired Army Officer, Disabled Veteran, Senior Citizen, who has honorably served our Nation for 37 years, I believe U-Haul customers, deserve a lot better customer service, treatment and respect from U-Haul Representatives (i.e., Brandon). Brandon should not lie, be unprofessional, nor disrespectful to customers. No customer deserves for their morning and day to be ruined, due to abrasive, unbehaved U-Haul Representative, and bad attitude, like Brandon. Brandon needs an attitude adjustment! I don’t recommend Brandon be fired/terminated, but I would strongly recommend, Brandon be immediately counseled "face-to-face" (verbally and written) and the written counseling be permanently documented in his U-Haul Personnel File. Brandon must do better! I recommend that Brandon be “retrained” to treat customers with kindness, professionalism and respect. He needs to understand as a U-Haul Representative, how to engage customers. I would recommend, impressing upon Brandon, not to lie to customers at any cost; he is representing U-Haul, and lying does not do any good for U-Haul business/profits. He should know, U-Haul wants to maintain a positive reputation with its customers. And…., if Brandon, cannot get on board with this program quickly, he needs to immediately be terminated and find another occupation/job, not dealing with U-Haul customers. The public deserves better! U-Haul deserves better! Note: Shiva was kind and accommodating when I had talked with him over the phone- the other day. No issues there. Also, Akbar was nice as well when we talked face-to-face about this incident in-person. Akbar was also efficient closing out my ticket, once I had turned in the U-Haul truck. No issues there. Eric DI had to wait 30 minutes uses before getting g checked since this is a gas station. Truck had a flat outside back tire, he said it was fine since pressure was on inside tire. Told him just down the street, no insurance back by 5pm that day. Was back by 4pm, again had to wait. 430 checked out, no receipt he said wait for email. Got home got email, charged me for Insurance and 2 rental fees ( 2 days!). My $60 rental was now $122. Have gone back twice demanding they correct it. Told both times nothing they can do. No longer using Uhaul if you now scam people. Extremely disappointed.

JOSEPH LAt no fault of the employee, this was not a smooth transition. The website asked me to check in online. It gave me the option to scan my drivers license. Then when I got there I had to scan it again. No problem! Except the website kept scanning the back but sending an error to the employee on his end. This process took 30 minute which also took 30 minutes off the amount of time I reserved the U-Haul. The returning process was easy. But the pick up was frustrating. The employee did his best and stayed calm along with myself.

KAI KThis location does not automate everything in the application. I had to go inside and wait 30 minutes for them to verify who I was. Then when they finally triple checked it was ok to give me the keys my truck was blocked in by another truck that was returned. I asked the person to move the truck. At this point I had been waiting 45 minutes and when I walked back inside to see why the truck isn’t moved the person was helping other customers in the gas station instead of taking 2 minutes to move the truck. I have rented trucks from other locations with zero issues and fully automated where I didn’t need to speak to anyone which is amazing. This location does not work that way at all. The person I was dealing with did say they were new and kept calling someone else to ask questions which I can understand but it shouldn’t take 30 minutes. Secondly the person kept helping other customer in the gas station and telling me to wait while my time is being wasted.

STEPHANIE WAkbar is the gentleman who assisted me. He is very friendly, Accommodating, and as a customer, I very much appreciated him taking time to show me the breakdown of the bill so I knew where every dollar amount was going to. Another thing I really like is that due to the location being at a gas station you can put gas in the U-Haul and return it all at the same time. I highly recommend this location and will be using them again on my next move!

MARK HLied on the contract and said half a tank of gas but was less than a quarter. Quote for truck was 171 for three days. Dropped off truck same day and was charged over 200.
STEVEN MThe attendant told me that fuel gauge was at 3/4. When I checked, it was slightly above 5/8. I took a picture, told and showed him. He said ok. When I returned the truck(with the same slightly above 5/8), I got charged for five gallons and the receipt shows less than 5/8. The attendant should have looked at the truck with me.
IVAN BThe service was friendly. My only complaint is the cab was filthy. There was a used straw on the floor, a bottle cap in the cup holder and there was dirt and grime all over the dashboard and food.

DOUGLAS MTruck had check engine light come on during the trip and eventually the transmission gave out on me in the middle of the highway. Had to wait 2 hours to get the uhaul towed and had to pay movers an additional 2 hours since we arrived late. Reached out to UHaul about a reimburstment or refund since I used their movers service and they were not willing to help. 0/10. Terrible customer service.

TRACY FVery unorganized took over 1/2 hour to complete process. After the complete nightmare. I reserved the truck for my daughter to move. We only had 1 day to move due to her work schedule and everyone else’s as well. When I went to pick up the truck the attendant said he could not because he doesn’t know the codes and the manager is not there today. I was under extreme stress after recent discharge from the hospital. I did not need these. The attendant suggested I go to a local uhaul location, so we did. Guess what. It was closed at 5. It’s now 630pm. Now what the hell do I do. I called uhaul lady was very nice and gave me a third location where I finally got a truck.

Carlos LThe Chevron gas station attendant didn't help with trailer hook up; I was unfamiliar & hooked up emer brake chain incorrectly; feeling uneasy, I swung by this U-Haul location 11815 E Colonial Dr, Orlando, FL 32826, to make sure the hook up was done properly. Orlando, who works there took the time to demonstrate a proper & safe hook up. Thank u, Orlando; you've saved me from a potential disaster with the inadvertent activation of the emergency brake during my long drive.

Christian ZAbsolutely the WORST experience in 30+ years of renting uHaul equipment. Clerk / Owner couldn't speak or understand conversational English. He was also the ONLY person working. It's a convenience store, so every time someone wanted a Gatorade or crack pipe, he would tend to them.... while simultaneously Facetiming his friends on his Android Phone. This place is a dive and if you want to get some Meth with your uHaul, while taking an hour to do rental agreements that should take 5 mins, this is the place for you. I live 5 mins away and I will travel five times that distance to never experience this poor experience again. In closing, I'd liike to add that I was offered pot/marijuana when I parked and cocaine while I unhitched the trailer. I'd say I was shocked, but in today's world where companies don't care about their image, I'm not shocked at all. I should have taken the coke and pissed in the weeds behind the place like all the homeless people hanging there do.

Michael GConvenient neighborhood location with great staff! Easy access to the 408 and downtown with room to maneuver even though it's a gas station. I had a pretty typical U-Haul experience in that you shouldn't solely rely on staff to be safe, but if you tow you should know the basics like properly connecting safety chains, testing the lights, etc. They had above-average helpfulness and attended to me without a wait. Overall very happy A+++ and I will go here whenever they have the size of trailer I need in stock.

Gina TTruck was clean and staff at location were very friendly and helpful. The problem was that the truck had very poor tires on driver side dual wheels in rear. Zero tread...smooth. Ultimately, the tires blew out on highway, nearly causing an accident. This is border line negligence.

Skip ANext time I rent a truck I will use ONLY this location and avoid your regular U-Haul centers This experience was flawless. Had the truck I rented, had the equipment I rented, were courteous and efficient. Return was same. The last place I rented was a U-Haul center and it didn't even have the truck I rented. I had to go to another service center and when I returned the truck the guy insisted I pay for 5 gallons of gas for my total of 18 mile trip. This last experience saved your reputation. I will still not recommend your regular service centers.
