The people helping were friendly and on top of their job. Well done I will use this location again in the future. I also want to add that when I called the other location for a rental they did not have one and within 15 min that location had set me up with a different location and a rental that was available for pickup immediately.

Russell CHello It was a challenge getting my uhauls return location set up upon my arrival to Bastrop Texas, I had to call customer service and speak with multiple customer service reps and ask for supervisors until they were able to put both return locations in Bastrop Texas where I reside. Worst part was when I called the first time they connected me with a scheduling rep and I advised to speak to a super she denied me a supervisor and after being consistent and asking she said she was going to connect me she disconnected the call and then I called back and she answered again when I got transferred to her department and she advised me she never disconnected call and then when I asked her to transfer me to a supervisor she just transferred me to customer service. The customer service experience over the phone was horrible until I met the last rep who was able to assist. When I originally set up my reservation on Saturday April 27 I requested for both auto transport and truck to be dropped off at Bastrop, Texas. Originally they had my truck reservation at Abilene Texas which was 4 hours away from my location. Finally when I was able to return my U-Haul truck and auto transport trailer they up charged me over $100 because they said I went over in mileage even though when I originally scheduled it I advised them where I was starting and ending. I would appreciate then refund for the overage that I should’ve never recevived. I would appreciate some type of compensation for the inconvenience.

joel PThe allotted miles given for the one way trip were only enough for me to get from the pick up location to the drop off location. So considering I had to go to my storage and new apartment I was over the allotted miles and was charged an extra 20+ dollars. The cab itself was obviously not cleaned in a while as there were multiple different spots of dried food and crumbs.

Vera CCharged for 4 days, when it should have been only for 2. It was closed on Sundays even though website showed a drop off time for that day, wasn’t clear about the drop off time for Monday. They didn’t check in the rental until Wednesday AM, even though it has been there since Monday, overcharged by 2 extra days. Was supposed to be less then $80 total, ended up being closer to $200.

Adam MThe pickup location said open 24/7 for self-service U-Haul pick-ups, so I reserved one online to pick up at 5:45pm. When I arrived, I tried to check in on the app but it just kept saying pending approval. I went inside Bastrop Feed & Supply to get help & the girl working said she stops doing U-Hauls @ 5:30pm and that they close and lock the yard gate @ 6pm— which is in conflict with what the website advertises with 24/7 pickup. She reluctantly helped me get the U-Haul, made us sign paperwork and gave us key. She did not do a walk around or check the vehicle at all. In the paperwork, it states the tank was at 3/4 full. When we got into the vehicle it was almost empty so we went back to the business door and she was locking it up and leaving. We told her about the gas being lower than what the paperwork stated and she said she would put a comment in the system for us about that. Well, she didn’t. We went to turn in the U-Haul in Ankeny, Iowa and they said she did not put any comments about the gas level being lower than the paperwork said. 10/10 would NOT recommend Bastrop Feed & Supply for U-Hauls. They don’t even check or maintain the vehicles and have poor customer service, giving U-Haul company a negative image for customers that use them.
