The cab was dirty The back was full of dirt all over The location does not have any supplies, i.e, mattress bags or anything The truck had a 1/4 tank which meant I had to get gas NOW When I returned the truck, the guy said, call UHaul, we don't clean the trucks Now my furniture is filthy and needs to be cleaned This was an awful experience

Haick II was relying on this truck for a show load out, and then 2 days before the pickup, I was notified that I was going to have to go to further away location - not just for the pickup but also for the drop off. This would have meant that I had guys driving around after midnight to drop off a truck instead of dropping it off two blocks from where we work. Then after I went through all of the arrangements to have extra driver on to pick up my driver - they changed it again with less than 12 hours notice. And so I had to change it all back and let the extra guy I'd hired on know that he was cut -- NOT good
HUGO CI actually was very disappointed. I had a reservation at 1pm and for some reason, it got "cancelled." I did not cancel it at all but when i arrived, it showed up as cancelled. Thankfully I was able to rebook it right there but there was only one vehicle left. Thus, it made me think my reservation was meaningless because if someone came to take the vehicle, it would have been given away. I also tried to reserve a furniture dolly but nothing was there.

MARTIN CIt was kind of disappointing. We were not given the place where we asked to pick up the truck. Then given some place a good bit away. Then called back and after being on hold a much closer place. There was only an 1/8 of a tank of gas when we picked up the truck. We didn’t know there were no phone chargers except cigarette lighters and no GPS. We can understand, but it would be nice to know.

keiko TI rented a 10’ truck from the Santa Monica location on Cloverfield. My reservation was from 8am-5pm. However, when I arrived the employee at the desk asked if 5pm was my return to which I said it is scheduled for 5pm but if I could move it any later that would be great. I asked if there was a charge for this and he informed me that there wasn’t any and they were open till 9pm. I was also supposed to receive two furniture Dolly’s that I never received. I mentioned this at return and was told they were taken off my bill. However, they were not. Not only was I charged for two furniture Dollie’s I never received, but I was charged for two furniture Dollys over two rental periods. If I had known that returning after 5pm would cost an additional rental period, I would’ve returned as scheduled. But I was assured by the employee on staff that this wasn’t the case. Additionally, I was charged $28 for gear I never received.

Scott jThere were blankets, no furniture dolly, and the truck engine was in very bad shape. The battery died and I had to have the truck jumped with another cars battery.

SUSAN CWhen I came to return the truck, the attendant was out to lunch for an hour and there was no where to leave the key, so I had to waste an hour waiting for them to return and get caught in rush hour traffic. Also, the truck was clean but the driver’s door didn’t close properly and the lock on the passengers door literally comes out of the door.
Nicholas SThe clerk at the location was rude the second I walked in, providing monosyllablic responses to any question asked. First was that my drop off location was changed and he questioned this Refused to walk around the vehicle with me, fought on the photo of the dashboard evidence on the gas level, grabbed my phone and took it across his counter where I could not take it back to review the dashboard photo. His name was Abi. Out of concern I documented with photos and videos the state of the vehicle. It was incredibly unpleasant. I did call CS immediately after this as well and was told I would receive a call from the area field manager but that has not occurred yet.

jinpin yThey tried to scam me!!!! I folded and counted myself 12 blankets, he took them to the back then tried to say he was missing two blankets. When I told him I had taken pictures and can prove it he went back on his words. Then he tried to scam me for fuel!! I returned the truck with 3/4 tank, same than at pick up and on my contract, and he said I will be charged for a quarter tank because I should return the truck with a full tank. Then I said I had the contract on hand showing the tank level when picked up and once again he went back on his words. AWFUL EXPERIENCE. He likely tried to scam me because I was a female and by myself. Uhaul should not partner with this business! I will post online about this and show all receipts. In line was yet an other scammed customer that he charged for a second level dolly and only gave her the base level dolly. She had to argue with him to ask to be reimbursed the price difference.
CONSTANCE NPlace is a scam, broken equipment and they tried to charge me for it; thank god for corporate customer service. DO NOT go here

Mario EUpon arrival I was told the truck I had requested wasn’t available. They gave me a 26 foot truck with no gas. I put $115 in to get home to realise the truck was too big, I returned to the location and asked them for the truck that I originally had rented, they gave me a 15 foot truck with a broken fuel cap and again no gas! $200 of gas later in that one, 115 in the one that I just returned and then I was charged an extra $25 in Gas even though I returned it with more gas than what I Rented it with! What an absolute extortion in this place! Avoid avoid avoid
TERRENCE APOSITIVE: Customer service and efficiency are excellent at this location. The absolute best experience. NEGATIVE: U-Haul telephone customer service was like a recurring nightmare.

MASOUD GWe had some troubles closing the door on the truck TM7173. It would take us 3-5 attempts to close it. Otherwise as usual U-Haul is the best!
Fnu GThe clerk refused to close out my rental while I was there. He said I could go online myself or wait until he got around to it later on. I said I wanted my receipt with the total charges before I left but he again wouldn’t provide this. The store was not busy at this time. He could have but refused. I told him I was going to let U-Haul know about this.

Laurie LThere should be parking for customers without the need to pay $30 especially if you’re just driving someone to go pick up a haul or are going for it yourself, the place has bad organization for the u haul truck themselves and you can bearly drive them into the gas station to fill them back up
David AI made a reservation for an appliance dolly. On pick up I was advised that they didn't have any. What is the point in making a reservation if on the day, its not available and I, the customer, is left empty handed ? And I also reserved a furniture dolly. Was told it was inside the truck. It was not. Very disappointing experience.

Nathan HThe cashier was very rude. She mistakenly added safe move to my reservation and then said jt was my fault. I put the keys on the counter and they fell off the edge. She then accused me of throwing the keys at her which clearly did not happen. They fell off the edge onto the receipt machine below. This location is a problem because the cashier is responsible for all the gas station transactions, convenience store purchases AND Uhaul rentals. Far too much for one person to handle. Resulting in long line for everyone. Don’t go here. I will not be returning.

Raul RThe equipment was available and ready, but there is no free onsite parking. I had to park more than 1/2 a mile away. The other option was to pay $30 to park onsite. This is not acceptable. Also, I initially ordered a dolly online, but requested it be cancelled when I arrived onsite,. However, I was still charged for the dolly on my final bill. Additionally, the truck bed was dirty so I had to clean it before loading my furniture.

NATHAN HStaff are kind and friendly but the whole idea of renting the truck out of a location that is meant to do something else and putting all the check and verification and that on the customer without a dedicated staff member to walk through the steps is a really bad idea.
Saleh AFirst, it was further location vs what I booked next to my apt. Difficult process to find correct location that had availability day of rental. Bad on Uhaul’s part. Then the return tried to charge me $30 to park the Uhaul on their lot while I ran back home to get the dolly. Again, not a problem if original location was near me as reserved.
Jody MThe customer service at this location is terrible. The employee was refusing to help us after we were frustrated that the rental equipment we had reserved was not available. No one told us that the appliance dolly is first come first serve and no one notified us that it was unavailable. The was EXTREMELY inconvenient since we were planning on using it to move our large appliances. I was also frustrated that the pre-check information I filled out prior to picking up the truck some how did not make it to the pickup location so the employee was asking me the same questions. Instead of being understanding and helping us think of solutions, she just flat out said "I don't get paid for U-Haul stuff" and refused to continue helping us. This whole experience was ABSOLUTELY terrible on top of the stress I was already feeling for having to move. On top of that, the first truck that we were given was leaking water (it was raining) at the top of the windshield. Luckily there was another truck we could take instead. Overall, because of this employee's behavior, I would not recommend U-Haul in the future if it does not take accountability for its location's employees. I would definitely not recommend reserving a U-haul from this location in the future.
