I have to say that Best Union, where I picked up and dropped off my U-Haul van is THE BEST! They totally took care of me!! I can't say enough good things about them! I am 100% satisfied with them and the van I rented. Side note: A few rentals ago, my rental hadn't been returned, and I was without a vehicle. Best Union found me another truck, at a different location, AND HE DROVE ME TO THAT LOCATION!!! This is what customer service is all about!!!DAVID T.

Upon arriving to this location, I was not aware that the UHAUL center was through a vendor inside of a small market. No signs were posted, no direct business number for direction assistance was available so I had to go into each store to identify which business was with UHAUL. Once inside, the owner was very short and rude, he took me to the car, we did a walk around the vehicle, everything was clear but the dashboard lights were flickering very briefly upon start up. Halfway to destination the Left sideview mirrors were caving in, not secure, I had to hold the mirrors when changing lanes which were very dangerous, had to drive in the slow lane 55/60 mph due to the instability of the vehicle. Anytime I would drive (going within the speed limit), when going over any minor bump or lane change upon acceleration, all lights would flicker, the speedometer and other meters would wave back and forth and the vehicle would lightly shake. It was an unsafe trip, very nerving and scary at the same time. I reported it to the owner, the owner was very nonchalant about my grievances, slightly deflective towards my complaint so as of now I am waiting to connect with customer service for a refund of service.CIERRA L.

The gentleman who rented the truck to me was VERY rude, unprofessional and couldn't care less about making sure that customer was ever going to come back for future business or not. He had an attitude because I wasn't familiar with Uhauls 24/7 truck share program. On top of that, the truck had graffiti on the passenger side. I went to home Depot and purchased graffiti remover and spent an hour removing the graffiti. The truck had not been maintained very well as the check engine light stayed on the whole time I was driving. The interior of the truck was filthy. Before I returned the truck, I took it to the car wash and washed it. I also wiped down and vacuumed the inside. I will NEVER rent from this location EVER again.!!!!!!!!!!Reuben G.

They forgot my equipment I ordered and charged me as such, truck smelled of cigarettes, the guy talked to me both times without a mask, parking lot is full of people living in their cars (saw I drug deal happen while waiting). The app asks to deposit the key in a dropbox, which this location does not have. The guy was rude and claimed I'd be charged an additional 30 dollars, which was wrong.I would never come back or even think about recommending this place to anyone let alone a friend.Aron S.

First of all there are signs posted at the door that face coverings are required by customers, staff and vendors, and the man was not wearing at mask AT ALL the entire time. I made sure to keep my distance as much as I could. I felt very uncomfortable. Even though I did online check in, I still have to wait because he said it didn't take, and it wasn't in the system, even though it all was.. He was kind of of rude too. upon returning , there were several men in the store and a couple did not have masks on and once again, neither did the man in the store. In addition, the parking situation is a nightmare. Very difficult to get in and out and almost didn't have a space to park the truck on return. we got lucky that some one was leaving, but parking spaces are very tight and not fit for the moving trucks.Steven P.

The store was terrible, one of the filthiest places I've ever walked into. I rented a furniture dolly but it was "not there" according to the manager, he advised me to go to another U-Haul to get one from them a few miles away. I was told to arrive at 9am, I showed up at 8:40a and the location did not open until 9:30a. The owner did not answer the phone so I left and changed my appointment to noon. The owner had no mask on and I did not feel safe Specifically in regards with the sanitization during this pandemic. There was no organized line and therefore everyone was spread out without a social distance and since it is self managed there was no regards to such. I would have never selected this location but my location changed shortly after booking. I did not have a food experience but I had to move.Kemmy A.

I asked the person in charge if the truck was sanitize, he replied with â€œ I don't know, that's how it isâ€. I spend about 10 minutes cleaning the truck before entering. How in the world during a bad epidemic you don't have the courtesy to clean the truck before handing the keys to a customer, especially when they inquire about cleaners. Also, the person didn't not go over the charges in the contract. Just handed me the kids and told me to make sure the truck has half a tank when returned.Reinaldo D.

The owner of the store was kind. He even drove with my to pick up my car after they wrongfully towed it from the lot after I paid for parking. We drove together to pick up my car after I went to drop off my vehicle and realized it was missing. I had to pay an extra $100. I'm not sure if this is typical at this location. Truck was not ready eventhough I had a reservation. The truck that I did end up getting was filthy and full of beer cans. The passenger side mirror was held together with tape so I could not adjust it to see properly. I was charged for insurance when I denied it. It was eventually refunded when I returned the truck but as a "discount" for my trouble. Seriously? You refunded something that I didn't even ask for. The owner acted as if he was doing me a favor. Because I had to spend about an hour of my own time cleaning out this truck, I ended up having to sit in 5 o'clock traffic. I am definitely not a happy customer.Jose A.

Got ripped on gas. Operator charged me $18 cash for being low on gas. Picked it up at a quarter tank filled it up to slightly above quarter tank. Did the math I drove 37 miles mostly highway. Put in 4.3 gallons In before dropping it off. That is 8MPG. And still was charged $18.reidar S.

Both trucks I rented had not been swept out by prior users and were still unswept when I was given them. I am not talking lots of loose trash but in both cases, a proper sweeping would have gotten the sand (lots) and other small dirt/trash items out. Cab was clean.Donald S.

It was a mini market pickup location and while the clerk was checking us out he was helping other customers buying snacks and cashing checks at the same time. The truck was covered in graffiti. It was never written on the paperwork. never went over the truck with usPaula M.

Truck was covered with graffiti on the outside. Rented the truck on nearly empty tank. Was never explained the insurance options. Upon return the whole process was a nightmare. The gentleman who I think was the owner was trying to charge us extra for unnecessary charges. Like a broken rollup door that was clearly broken before we rented it. Also trying to charge us for it not being clean. Agreeing that it was OK then when he gave us the final paperwork he said he's gonna charge us $25. Clean vehicle would have been nice. 10 cents more per mile than other sites When did uhaul start charging for miles ? 14 dollar that was not explained .Good god man 1 dollar here 14 dollars here, 10 cents more over a 60 mile trip 6 dollars more . Was going to pay in cash before l can even say a thing he informs me that 109 dollars on my card already without a word. The location was fine but it was unacceptable that I filled out all the information and submitted my Drivers License pictures online only to have to resubmit everything using the uhaul phone application. This is complaint about U-haul corporation and not the business I picked the truck up from. I expect better from a big company like youAdan B.

Roman at this location Best Union chafed $14. For coverage. Upon returning the truck and telling him this he responded that it's automatica he has nothing to do with it. He told me to contact UHaul. I am requesting that the $14. Be waived fir the simple fact that I was told or asked if I wanted it which I didn't need it. I have my own insurance that in past times is used on the rental. The attendant and I had trouble seeing eye to eye with the gas level, and I feel that I over paid in gas expenses, the last time we rented from U-Haul we had no problems, and that's why we rented again, next time we will think twice before rentingJanellie O.
I requested a large truck the gave me a little van i had to make more trips I was not informed about the miles i a was charged per extra miles so a $20.00 a day rental ended costing me $100.00 a day rental that was misleading because the van says $19 a day. In May we rented a large Uhaul truck in Costa Mesa Ca and did not pay miles because they advised us well abaut the contract to be signed. We were talen advantage of this time and we are very unsatisfied with Uhaul right now . Just tell your agencies to be straight forward with the prices so we can decide what to do and not to play whot dishonesty charging a lot more than what costumers bargained forAna K.
