I was disappointed that I could not rent the u haul for a whole week . I was told only 24 hour rental , ( I wasn't interested in a storage unit that's just double work ) I had to rent a Penske truck for a week . So if my friends need a 24 rental it's u haul and over 24 hours that it's Penske or Ryder .Brian D.
Not good truck with a lot of noise from the windows, the acceleration was low and hard to drive. especially the pickup location is not acceptable. I was driving from one Uhaul place which had Uhaul truck available but I coundl't get it because I was reserving from online. You should give the customer choices to pick up the vehicles. I was also charged with extra mileages though I told them where I will drive. Ridiculous.De Bao X.
The trucks headlight was out. Pulled over by state police x2. They did nothing to compensate for the time I lost because of truck not being checked prior to me getting it.Barbara S.

Slow and argued whether I was supposed to be dropping it off there. Took three times longer to drop it off than necessary. Also, I think money should be refunded for returning prior to the due date. You have no problem charging when it's late...Shawn J.

My name is Denise Aiello. I recently had a very disappointing experience with U-Haul at the big blue self storage location on Dyke Road. The manager, Vickie Quakenbush, quoted me a price of $78 for 24 hour use over a hundred miled for a 15' truck. She explained that I would get 100 miles free and it would be .29 cents over 100 miles. I called her because I was worried it would be too much money, but when she told me about the special I jumped on it. When I arrived to pick up the truck on Saturday, May 7th, Vickie was charging me twice that amount. When I showed her the paper indicating the special she told me about, she called U-Haul and then told me she was sorry the special was for a cargo van. I was extremely upset and disappointed. I had made plans that I couldn't change. I let her know I was upset and would be notifying U-Haul of the situation. She reduced the mileage to .79 cents, but that is still no where close to the price she quoted. I realize she made a mistake, but I counted on what she quoted to be true. Is there anyway I can receive some sort of refund? The truck was also dirty, smelled like cigarettes, and had cigarettes in the ashtray. Please let me know, thank-you. I have always had good experiences with U-Haul in the past.denise A.

I had to move my son very quickly,I ran around franticly looking for a u-haul it was a friday so everyone had them reserved for the weekend.My daughter and i stopped @ the u-haul place on dyke rd,the truck was bigger then we needed,so we thought we could get one in little Falls,the place was closed it was 330,I called back @ the one on dyke rd,The lady stayed there and waited for us to get there,i wished i got her name she was very helpful& went out of her way for us under a stressful time.I would recommend the u-haul place on dyke rd to anyone who needs a u-haul,excellent job!Susan E.

The Manager in Rome ny knew we were going 2700 miles from Frankfort, Ny to Washington State and the truck had all balled tires...I am disabled and the tire blew and when U-haul sent a man to fix the tire( a rep of uhaul) he could not believe that the manager in rome ny sent me and my son on the road with all balled tires... We had to wait in the hot truck and then a nice person in a near by store let us wait in the store even after the store was suppost to close.. The rep from uhaul had us follow him to his location, and uhaul had to set us up in a local motel till everything was fixed.. It was very hard on me as I resently lost my husband and I had just has heart surgury...My childred came from WA to take me to take me from NY to thier home to recover...Shortly after I got to WA I ended up in the hospital with very high blood pressure (199/113). When we left the truck the uhaul rep gave us a 250. refund...But I think uhaul should have refunded the whole amount...As it could have cost me my life...First of all if the driving tire had blown and we all die...and it could have cost me my life with a heart attack because of the stress...I think a lawyer would have said the same thing, because your own rep who fixed the tires said he would be more than glad to help us get this all taken care of if we needed to get a full refund, as the manager in rome,NY put all our lifes in danger and he didnt care enough. Also we stopped in rome to tell your rep there that the back signal light wasnt working he said it is a short and it would be fine..we trusted him...the rear light went out that night,on the tow dolly for my car..MADELINE J.
1. Allow the clerk to find all U-haul drop off points for a given location. Despite a drop off place was located right down the street from me (Green Mountain Car Care), the agent was unable to select it because it did not appear on her map. As I have dropped off trailers there before, this proved to be a problem when I called to schedule dropping off the trailer the next day (see comments for Rental Dropoff Location)WILLIAM G.

The drop off facility was closed when I went there, but it was clean and well kept. I received an e-mail within 20 minutes of their stated opening time (10:00am) regarding my final bill, which I thought was very efficient.MICHAEL B.
