I had a scheduled appointment to pick up a truck at 10:00am to move into my new apartment. Not only was the owner late, he made it seem like it was no big deal and told me I could go elsewhere. In addition to this, the truck was filthy. I did not leave the lot with a truck until 11:00am, causing me to have to pay movers extra. I hope this does not happen to anyone elseKendall W.
We did a truck pickup with our mobile phone. Safe move was added so I went to the chat feature and spoke with Natasha who said we had the option to remove it on the next screen. I hit next and it completed our purchase. We then went to the lockbox it said our key was in and the key went to a different truck, so we weren't table to rent the truck yet still charged!CHRISTOPHER L.

Waited an hour to get the truck. Could not use the mobile check in I signed up for. Without using the mobile check in we did not use the mobile return as we did not know protocol. Gave keys to owner and he did not check truck in til Monday or go over check in procedures on return.Daniel D.
The manager told us that he was short handed and needed to hire an assistant. There was a long line on the Saturday when I came for the trailer, and having a second person working would have sped up the process. Otherwise everything was fine and the manager was great.Matthew G.

I will never use uhaul again. I feel like I was over charged for overage fees. I paid $81 for the 1st day $60 for the additional day. Then about 2 weeks later you charged my card with an additional $192. I tried to plead my case. Additional fees for gas & so on. Never never!!!Jim G.
Again, Your mandatory mobile check-in system was crap. You required a picture of the inside of the trailer, but when I took the picture the website returned me to a placeholder page rather than the originating check-in page. Overall, your website was the worst part of the experience. Also, side note regarding this location: there is an identical street address several miles up the highway in Concord, so when trying to confirm the location in Maps apps it would frequently display that spot instead. Again, why would you post this this feedback publicly? Do you want actual feedback to improve your system or free publicity?Lee S.

We've come during their normal business hours and they still weren't open. Uhaul was dirty and had fast food and even a pill in it. Also has an exhaust leak which clearly needs to be repaired. The place is dirty and unkept. The check-in process was a nightmare and a guy there pressure washing refused to help and said to reference the number on the front of the building for the verification process, but they didn't pick up. You could advise the customer that pick up and drop off locations are not guaranteed and could change the day before the rental begins. If it does you're mileage allowance not be adjusted due to the change. My assigned drop off was over 30 miles from the one requested. .Had I been told ANY of this on the front end my selection of unsullied for this move might not have happened as I financially I had a plan that did not incur he extra mileage charges or fuel due to the change I was made aware of less than 24 hours before my move was to beginLeroy S.

This location was excellent and the service received here was exemplary. However, this location was over 30 minutes from my initial request and in the opposite direction of where I was moving. This forced me to spend over 3 hours in the U-haul when it should have taken around an hour of total driving time. This is completely unacceptable especially with gas prices the way they are right now. I ended up spending over $70 to return the tank to where it was and then they charged me another 15 dollars on top of that. Overall terrible service, I will not be using U-Haul again for another move.Peter N.

The process on pickup was too complicated!! I had to let U-Haul call a friend to verify me at 7am!! That was ridiculous. I didn't have my passport w meâ€¦. Or any other documents. I could've provided more info upon reservation if neededâ€¦. Moving Day at 7am? No thanks.carolyn W.

Was told where to put trailer. Told all good nothing needed by us. Hindsight, should have gotten paper stating drop off time (worker outside but no one inside, door was locked). We dropped off before noon, due by 2:30. Was charged a day because of whoever processes paperwork didn't input drop off until 4:41pm! Didn't receive email/call/text about this charge. Had to do exploration for why U-haul was charging our card $30.66. Poor business practice on their part. Poor assumption that it was dealt with via word of mouth on ours.Jeffery T.

Unit was delivered 2 days before due date but I received a late notice because it was not checked in properly. The owner of the business serving as a U-Haul site was very helpful and corrected the late delivery as soon as he was aware of it. However, U-Haul Equipment Recovery never responded to the information I submitted. Owner was excellent but U-Haul response was not.Jim S.
The seat adjustment was broken so I couldn't pull the seat up and could barely reach the pedals. I know they think the air freshener is a good thing but when you have terrible allergies it gives you a headache. There was a maintenance warning about the tires that stayed on most of the trip.Linda H.

Drove only 33 miles and was charged $45 for 10 gallons of gas. The owner was not helpful and told me to call corporate. I didn't want to try to maneuver such a large truck through our small gas stations and risk an accident. I am fine with $4.50 a gallon, but the amount of gas used was clearly overstated and should be corrected.Robert C.

I had booked nearly two weeks in advance my pickup of the truck at 8:00 AM July 24th, but the location could perform online pick up meaning I had to delay my pick up of the truck until ten costing me a few hundred dollars because of the movers I had booked. In addition, the location was not ready to process me at ten, and I had to wait until 10:23 when I could depart with the truck.IAN A.
