Honestly the worst experience, truck was full of poop from an animal or multiple animals and we had to pay the cleaning fee… we didn’t move animals we move our elderly parents
Chris CIf you allow people to book trucks for 8am pick up make sure there equipment is available at 8am, me and my wife drive 30min to get this uhaul and then had to wait an hr and a half for the store to open because the truck wasn't staged and the key wasn't in the lock box, Made us have to pay movers for longer that day just to wait around.. wouldn't use uhaul again
Gregory HClean the cab and cargo box, repair floor hatch in cargo box. Damage to hatch caused a trip and fall accident loading and unloading. Due to damaged floor hatch we were unable to use the ramp. We cleaned and disinfected the cab for healthy travel. I also took photos for reference. Can submit if need be.

Scott GBe very careful of this place the owners are scammers. They will not give you any paperwork on picking it up, it was eventually emailed but they are out in the middle of nowhere, so spotty cell service. I took pictures and a video of the fuel gauge and mileage, as well as the condition of the truck, made sure to get the store in the video. The fuel level was 1/4 tank under what was written down previously, but I was not able to compare that until I got someplace with cell/internet service. The person who runs the U-Haul part of the location, is not on location, and if you have to talk to him, it is through the cashier calling him up on their personal cell phone and holding it up while on speaker. Both the cashier and the scammer owner were very rude yelling at me to pay them to fill the tank because “we check the truck thoroughly when it comes in mileage, fuel, condition, blah, blah, blah.” Whatever he could do to keep up his scam. Pretty much called me a liar. But I had video and pics with time stamps and the store shown on the screen. “We make sure it’s correct!” Obviously they don’t, and the fuel level was wrong, there was some wood pieces and a pair of bed frame rails from the last customer, the rear tires were practically bald, (barely above the wear bars so technically within spec).leading to the truck getting stuck in my yard. So surprise, surprise, they lied about checking the cleanliness and safety of the truck too. The scammer owner was implying that maybe i broke the gauge or that it was broken while repeatedly telling me i have to pay him for the fuel. The owner then did not checkin the truck for another couple hours past the return time. So added a second day and doubled the insurance etc. He was trying to get another $222 out of me. This place is being run by liars and conmen. All that said, all the people I called and talked to from corporate were very helpful and obviously found my video and picture evidence compelling enough to reissue a receipt for the correct final bill of just an extra $60 for going over on the mileage. So to whichever bosses at U-Haul I am praising Autumn, Rene and Katiffany for being Canadians who actually do their job correctly and helping one of you customers not get scammed by one of your outlets. Thanks you three.
Wade PCheck in took forever, representative was more concerned about propane sales. Truck was dirty, had to drive 25km out of my way due to scheduling issue and I was still billed the going rate. Was told I would have a promotion due to the conflict and never got it Put $65 in fuel into the rental because the gas gauge did not work, not only did I over pay on fuel I was charged out of my account twice without any consent.

Michael dThe truck was filthy, the back was full of mud, clearly, they don’t inspect the equipment when it’s returned and it was almost out of gas as well and on top of that, hey didn’t have the blankets I ordered. So not only did I have to go to another location the next day to get blankets, but I also had to take the truck to a commercial truck was to have it cleaned… worst experience ever, would not recommend this location to anyone.

Melissa bRental check engine light came on, sometimes had trouble turning engine over, sometimes turned over but the would stall. I rental regularly and love this size truck at this convenient location so I hope the problem is fixed soon
Jennifer vWorst experience with U haul. They change the reservation location and time last minute and leave you with no choice at all. Plus they did the exact same thing with the drop off location..had to drive extra 15 minutes away to drop of the truck. Never using the uhaul again.

Anthony Pit seems to be a challenge for the 24/7 online pickup to work effectively. having that information match what is online is another issue, as I requested the 24/7 pickup but the app restricted me from starting my rental due to the physical location hours not being open. the app told me that I should have selected the 24/7 option on my rental. When I looked online at my contract, that option was selected. GPS doesn't always detect which location you're at and it doesn't start the rental on time. This is a huge inconvenience when you have previously made arrangements based on a given pickup time. Please put some more engineering and quality assurance into the online mobile applications. they're lacking severely

Andrew DLock wouldn't open for mobile pickup, had to wait for store attendant to arrive to open it which put me back 30 minutes my movers had to wait. Truck had garbage in it. I would like some money back.

Shane WI showed up to pick up the truck at my selected time and had to wait over 20 minutes for the gas station attendant to give me the keys. I told him I made an error when I selected my drop off time and needed to extend the drop off time from 6pm to 10pm. He said no problem, just as long as it's returned by 8am the next day there's no problem and no additional charge. The truck was blocked in behind other uhaul trucks and customer vehicles. I couldn't get out of the lot, so the attendant mad rush drive over a neighbour's lawn and down their driveway to get out of the businesses lot, so he didn't have to shuffle the trucks around. When I got in the truck, the service engine light was on. Pointed that out, but he told me it's fine and just take it anyway. I paid for 2 Dolly's to be included. I was only given one. When I asked the attendant for the 2nd one, he said he didn't have one and "just tell uhaul you didn't get the second one". There was only a 1/4 tank of gas in the truck, which was really inconvenient. I understand if have to put gas in it before returning it, but it was annoying to need to do it immediately at pick up when we were already 25 minute behind schedule because the attendant took so long getting the keys for us. When I dropped the truck off at 10pm everything went fine. The next day I was charged for TWO days of use, instead of one. Not at all the experience I was expecting and absolutely will never rent from this location again.

jim wMy experience at Mobil on cockshutt rd was very good, however the person who had the rental prior to me was 1hr and 30 min late. The vehicle was supposed to be returned at 4pm. It was not returned til 530. I was not happy but the Mobil employee was very kind and called the other renter 2x to find out where the rental was.

John AInform customers if there sre issues prior to getting to pu k up your truck. I had a red flag on my account from 4 years ago and only found out about it when I went to pickup the truck. I had 2 other conversations with people from uhaul and neither of the mentioned the flag . It was from 4 years ago when I rented a trailer for a week and dropped it off in Canmore Alberta. I dropped it off a day early and it wasn't registered that it was received until a day late. If the flag was there then I shouldn't have even been allowed to rent the truck. It was straightened out by a phone call but that also delayed me for my move. That was my only issue
Scott HUpon arrival to pick up trailer I noticed the two tires on the trailer were completely flat. Which I was given $2 to use the air compressor to solve that. Also the trailer had no jack to help load or off load trailer to hitch… which made it hard for my wife (7 months pregnant ) to take trailer off… the attendant didn’t know how to remove the trailer from my ball hitch and my wife had to wait 25 mins wit 3 kids under the age 6 in -10 till a random other customer who had trailer experience pulled into get gas to luckily help get the trailer off. The experience wasn’t very good this time. I’m glad the tires held air long enough to use the enclosed trailer for my purpose. But those tires should be repaired. Thank you

attila rThe pickup location wasn't labeled properly and I drove right by it the first time. I had to go into the convenience store to find someone to help since I wasn't sure I was even in the right spot. The guy didn't have a mask on and told me he would help me after he finished talking to his friend on the phone. Thankfully the drop off went much smoother, but the different worker still wasn't wearing a mask. This isn't necessarily uhaul's fault, but that was not a good location or experience.

Ian MPoor communication. I was not informed of changes made to my reservation. My reservation was changed to a smaller vehicle and they also canceled my dolly rentals. If this was communicated to me I would have made other arrangements as this resulted in multiple trips and a overall slower process with moving items to the truck. Horrible experience would not recommend.

David Bhave a time frame to prior to the customer's initial reservation date to let the costumer know that the pick up or drop of location has changed ( not three days before the move date). people plan, and letting them know that the location has changed just 3 days before the move would change all the planning, also I called the customer service to solve the problem and when I get angry (and I was angry, I admit) and frustrated I cry, the manager told me "cry as much as you want but that doesn't change anything". I don't think that is appropriate to say to costumer as well.
Shiva GExtremely disappointed with U-Haul, not providing any form of compensation for me having to travel 132 km back and forth to pick up the trailer, not to mention my time lost 2hrs and 20 minutes and gas consumed. The attendants at both locations were excellent, but you U-Haul showed very poorly in providing a reasonable service to me and my family. Not pleased.

Gabriel HThe truck that I have rented is taking over 20 l of gas per 100 km and engine noise is so strong that you can’t hear the other passengers Also for two hours driving I had to pay more than 170 cad only for the rental. Pretty steep

Fred MRude behaviour told me to shut up over the phone pick was 8 am I was there 7:49 ! No one showed up till 9 am ! Got very late for my appointment ! U haul did not help atall was told to speak to the owner of the location, who was already so rude!! So I dunno what to say
gary sThe car carrier I rented required maintenance on the ratchet that hold the tires of the car in place. It took me 30 min to get the right side ratchet to undo. I greased both sides but further maintenance is needed.
DWIGHT HWas charged for furniture dolly even tho the rep who ordered it from a different location for us said we wouldn't be. The dollynwas not on the dirty truck when picked up. Had to sweep it out before loading. Guy at the location said there were some blankets jn the truck. They were wet and dirty. Good thing he was just giving them to us. Pretty sure he just didn't want to take them out of the truck. Our move went well and the truck got us there. Wouldn't recommend this location, but, would recommend UHaul to others.
Christopher TMake sure when I reserve a truck for 8 AM that I'm able to get it at 8AM not 2 hours later (10am) also of there isn't any equipment available do your job and contact the customer who is paying 160 dollars for a truck. Also the truck had poor poor steering ability the alignment wsaas Waaaay off this has been the most dangerous and time wasting service I have ever used. And you guys didn't take off taxes when I put my tax exempt card in. Overall experience was HORRIBLE I would NEVER recommend this place.
RYANJAMES KMy overal experience was average. The booking dept changed my preference location twice. The clerk at 259 Cockshut road was friendly and courteous. The vehicle was average in cleanliness but the low mileage 15ft truck was very practical and drove pretty steady.
Pamale HThe transaction itself was fine. Ways to improve? Hold customers reservations. My reservation was changed last minute to a smaller truck with a different time frame than what i needed. Was very much NOT happy with that.
