Wish if you don't have the truck someone really needs at the location we need to pick up. You could offer the truck you have at a lower rate. Had to rent a truck much to larger to do my job. It cost me more and I only used half the truck. Only because the place you wanted me to go to get what I needed was over 20 miles round trip out of my way.

Put a customer in a better truck. I rented a 20ft truck to go 1200 miles. It got 7 miles to a gallon. The 26 fter I rented last month from BP station across the street was a newer truck it had cruise control and got 14 mpg completely full. The 20 was only half full. The outside of 20 ft truck had Many stickers on it where there was previous damage. Left front headlight went out mid trip. I rented a hand truck that wasn't available when I got there. They substituted a appliance hand truck for it. Not what I wanted. Man who handled my rental gave me the keys and sent me a link to fill in some info. BP is right across the street who also are a uhaul dealer. Wasn't able to get a truck there because agent on phone said they had none.

It would have been nice to know that they do not have furniture dollys at this location. I was charged for it because I ordered it but never got one. The regular dolly was old but worked.

The pick up facility was good, but I had reserved for Bainbridge, IN then it was changed to Brownsburg causing me to drive an additional 60 miles. Then the furniture cart I had asked for was not available.

Better service at store and U-Haul. I had questions and could not get any answer from u-haul or the store. When returning the parking lot was full the back door was stuck open. Called U-Haul 3 times and went in store. They did not want to come out because it was raining and said they would take care of it

Very unprofessional service overall. The clerk mentioned to me a couple of time that he couldn't add me to the system for a reservation, and that I had to do it online. It wasn't after I tried multiple times, called the 1-800 for assistance that he manually entered the reservation. I lost an hour through this process.

Drop off was terrible over an hour process

The drop location was a problem. When I picked up the truck I let him know where I wanted to drop it. The location of the paperwork was not on the contract, but dropped it where I told him. The next day I went to the location to make sure everything was ok and was told they were no longer a drop off location and I was advised to take it to the correct location. I was not told this location was no longer accepting rental trucks when I picked it up. Improvement in communications is needed.

It took me an hour to get my phone location setting to work & 30 minutes to get the back door lock to open! Thankful to see the $20 after hour charge was deducted from my bill because no one had informed me of this charge!

Cab was dirty - heavy dirt waste on floor. And freight area needed some sweeping at pickup. None of that bothered me, but a little surprising.

The truck was good and clean, but the customer service during the pandemic online and through the phone was handled very poorly. My reservation was changed on us halfway through the reservation I had planned. It was major mess and makes me not want to use uhaul again.

The help desk refused to help and didn't know the 1800 go uhaul number. The CSR on the phone was very helpful both for check in and check out however- the app did not recognize my account by phone number or email.

The 24/7 lock where I was told to gain access to the key did NOT indicate what to do with the lock. I kept the lock in my possession thinking I would use the same lock to secure the van key where I picked it up.

Perhaps train the people at this location to actually check the vehicle in when you drop off keys so you aren't charged for an extra day

The gentleman that worked with me was very upfront letting me know that U-haul makes sure to get their money. That played out by him not being able to change my reservation to a different truck. I ate the cost of the first reservation and had to pay for an entire second reservation. Very unwilling to help me and again, put it on U-haul instead of taking ownership. Needless to say I'll only rent from Penske or Budget in the future. Lost my business for life.

The online system is not very user friendly. You should be able to do a portion of it before you get to the location. I sat in the parking lot and watched two walk in customers get taken care of before I was able to get my rental.

You have to do a lot of work before and after you rent a truck. There was several big marks on both sides of the box that wasn't documented. A dent in the front & back that wasn't documented. If you don't document those, they will charge you for the damage. Once I return (after hours), there are several things you need to document or it's additional $20. This includes photo's on the dash for fuel and mileage, GPS your location to make sure your in the right spot, etc. etc. The only thing the store does is paperwork. Not sure if I will return in the future.

We had traveled over 1100 miles in 2 days, unloaded a 26 foot truck and took it to Ace Hardware to turn in to Uhaul, 3 days early. I just wanted to turn the key to Uhaul and go to my new home. The employees were not even nice. I was advised to go on-line or I could use my phone. That's what they wanted me to do, it didn't make any difference what would have been more convenient for the customer.

Returned equipment prior to agreed upon time, location did not do return procedure. Two days later I get an email from haul looking for the equipment. Which in turn means I had to spend more time contacting haul and them having to contact the location to look for the equipment. Not a professional operation at all.

The truck worked great and was overall clean but the windows inside the truck were filthy. The drivers side windshield wiper was VERY worn, it wouldn't wipe away rain. I've used this location before and I will use this location again.

The Ace Hardware was great. The whole 24/7 process is freaking terrible. I mean, literally, terrible. I don't even have the time to explain how bad of a process it is. I'm just glad the Ace was open when my wife dropped me off or I would have frozen to death in that parking lot trying to work through adjusting all the settings in my phone browser to make their process work. Then switching from Safari to Chrome because, well, nobody should ever use safari, EVER. Then, maybe you should know ahead of time that they are going to want you to take pics of the front / back of your license then you standing there with your gloves on because this is supposed to allow you to do all of this on your own after or before hours. So, its cold out and that is not Uhauls fault, but they have to assume that not everyone is going to only rent trucks from may to august. Now without gloves on in 8 degree weather trying to take pics and send them on their web page on your phone with your little digits shaking and can't feel the tips but hey, this is a quick easy process. Then, get your passport, birth certificate or phone a friend ready that you didn't know you needed ahead of time. I mean who the holy fuck carries their passport with them to move a garage full of crap to a new garage? Now lets talk about the janky key. I mean, anyone with any type of physical limitation or even just short fat fingers in 8 degree weather would not be able to get this crapy lock unlocked. It has this minute little flip switch that you have to use to force the bolt of the lock open and I thought it was just stiff due to the cold but no, 4 hours later when it had been in the truck with dante's 3rd level of hell heat blowing to un freeze my little sausage fingers - it still sucked and was harder to close than it was to open. Lets talk about turning the truck in. First, you are never told what to do with the lock. I just left mine laying on top of the lock box because it wouldn't close. Now, be prepared to get back out in the cold and take seveal photos of the truck to show that it is clean in the front and the back. More pics with your gloves on or off in 8 degree temps. I sure as hell hope the people in Alaska or Montana do not ever try to use this process, you will lose fingers. So, one more thing to note. Don't call their support number. After spending 20 mins trying to get safari to work with their process I called their support line. I was on hold for 14 mins before I hung up because I got chrome to work while I was on hold. You have to allow Safari (or chrome) access to your camera and location services. I did this about 10 times in safari, restarted my phone and did everything I could and safari would not work. So, just do yourself a favor and copy the link and go straight to chrome. I think in summary, what I'm really trying to get at, is that you should just go rent a truck from a human being. Uhaul has a long way to go to get to the point that you

I did not like having to take pictures of my is and send them to the man at the counter. Now my info is out in a cloud somewhere. Nor did I like inspecting the rental van by comparing pictures from the text message. I prefer one on one human customer service. No discount for military????? Then upon returning during business hours. Just lay the keys on the counter and they will get to it. I did not appreciate that. I had to I spent the van using pictures they should inspect the van upon returning. So what customer service we actually had was very good. But using text messaging for pick up and inspection was annoying to say the least esp. When a live employee was there.
