Didn’t know how to take the trainer on and off my vehicle. Need to have the back hitches available like the actual u-haul does. I will say they didn’t have some positives. Multiple trailers available on last minute need and they were respectful but that’s about it

Don't ever send anyone to the New Berry Indiana location. I had to go to this location because the Terre Haute Indiana store didn't have a truck & trailer so in need of both I didn't mind driving the hour & 21 minutes Google maps had this location at. There is no service & I was lost. They didn't answer the phone. It Was the worst experience of my life. Google maps takes you to a road that has a dead end in the middle of no where & said I had arrived at my location. I lost service & had to drive 15 minutes out of the way to get service, & when I did finally get service I call the location only to reach voicemail. So I called the corporate number & was transferred like 3 times & was told on the phone if I had Apple maps I would have been taken to the right place as the local rep was guiding me to the actual location which how would this information not be known to U Haul before even sending a customer on this ridiculous journey blows my mind & while on the phone with the rep lost service again but miraculously found the location only to find no one at this location. So I drive 15 minutes till I was able to get cell service again & I was told they were at the location waiting on me, but when I got there back to no service where the location actually was in Scotland Indiana even though the address is for New Berry Indiana there was an open sign on the door but the door was locked & I never seen one person. I stood there 15 minutes in the pouring rain for no one to ever arrive. So I drive 15 more minutes to get to where I had cell service only to be told my truck was stuck in the mud & was re routed 30 minutes away to the Bloomington Indiana location. I am not a person to ever be mean or rude to workers since I have worked in customer service myself for 20 years. But I kindly asked can something be taken off of my bill for this horrible experience. He had the audacity to only take $50 off of my bill which I replied with are you serious & he replied with he wasn't a manager & that was the best he could do. So just fed up with the amount of time I had wasted in the middle of moving 15 hours away I just said ok but told him I was far from happy with this absolute disrespectful amount of compensation. So I drive the 30 minutes more & the Gentleman at the Bloomington location was so nice & helpful, but when I went to drive my car up the ramp of the trailer the left side ramp fell off while I was driving my car up the ramp & my car was stuck on the bumper on the drivers side. Thank God the damage was minimal, & I was able to slide the ramp under my tire & get back off the ramp. The Midas guys came out to help & figured out you have to get under the ramp & actually manually put the ramp latch into place. This should never happen & those trailers should be inspected so this doesn't happen because the damage to my car could have been so much worse. What should have been a quick process turned into 4 hours of the most stressful worst experience of my entire life. And because of U Haul not caring enough to comp me for the amount of stress I went through, & only comping me $50 for my gas on a $2200 Bill tells me they could care less about their customers & I will never again be renting from this horribly ran company!

The young man running the Midas shop said that the U Haul employee had quit a week ago, so this Midas manager did his best to complete the paperwork and get us the truck and trailer. Everything worked out because of his efforts, and he got two of his Midas employees to help hook up the trailer and load our car. This guy was working hard, taking care of us and his Midas customers. Give this guy a raise. Seriously. As to the UHaul equipment, the truck was great but the ratchet on the trailer needed WD40 or something similar; they were very hard to release at the end of our trip (and I’ve owned and used a set of ratchets for years). The rest of the trailer performed well.

someone helped with hooking up the dolly, but on the return nobody came to take the dolly off. I had to do this plus put the dolly away can not say in all that I would honesty recommend.

I asked for pads and thought had enough advanced notice but then they were not provided? Wish the truck was parked up front, getting back photo and stepping into woods to get it was not fun!

There was no big problems. However, this was not the location I wanted to pick up the vehicle at. That was in Bedford, IN. But there was not a vehicle there. The “no transfer” policy equals poor customer service. Also the Bloomington, IN location did not an appliance dolly for me that i had requested. This caused me some real physical issues, which could have resulted in an injury. I was told that when dolly’s are stolen, they do not get replaced by U-Haul. Again, poor customer service.

You only have one lady who is obviously overworked working at this location. It is in the same building with a car repair shop and they were unable to assist anyone. When I returned the trailer I rented she was gone and I had to figure out where to park the trailer and unhook it myself. The lady you have there was very kind and extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They just need more Uhaul employees to assist her. There were also a line of customers trying to pickup their trucks when I was returning the trailer with no Uhaul employees on site during business hours. I only gave this an average because of how nice the lady was.

Nothing to improve!!! Very easy to reserve online! When I went to pick the U-Haul up Dayna was AMAZING AND THE BEST at CUSTOMER SERVICE! I can’t say enough about the personal caring service she provided! Truck ran smoothly, no issues!

I reserved at a location 1/2 a mile from my home. When I got to the location to pick up my truck the app said I was at the wrong location. 3.5 miles away. This took extra time and five races me to drive much further with the truck than necessary. Plus I had to pay for those extra miles.

I dropped off after hours, so I wasn't able to interact with any staff at this location. The drop-off area was crowded, I had to move some other trailers in order to make room for my drop-off. Not their fault... super-busy college back-to-school week in Bloomington! I'm glad to have had a convenient location to drop off my rental trailer.

I got the truck with 7/8's of a full tank and returned the truck with a little over 7/8's of a full tank. I was charged for bringing the truck back with the gas tank under 3/4's of a full tank. I drove 14 miles total and put 2 and a half gallons of gas in the truck before I brought it back. The person who runs this place is dishonest. Would give it 0 stars if I could.

The axel was noticeably off on the on the front wheels when first received. Made it exceptionally difficult to drive straight, which poses an extremely safety risk. Moreover, the vehicle engine was time-worn and clearly past its due date. Would not recommend.

Truck was old and very loud and very used junky. Dolly drop offf point said trailer was not hooked up properly!! Was a strain to drive!! Everyone though was very helpful. Some kind of adjustment was in order I think. The dolly had tail light was (I was thankful they caught it ) out and had to go to Brookville Fl pick up a different trailer a loss of our of our planned departure time three hours.
