The after hours check in process was a nightmare and would not work, causing great frustration and anger! It would not allow me to take or upload photos and therefore would not allow the check in to be completed and after 2 hrs and multiple phone calls to customer service, I gave up.... and just locked it up and left it.Debra M.

You own this business. Yes people are responsible for removing their items but YIOU are responsible for washing out sanitising. To expect tenant to "bucket" out the units is harsh and inappropriate. Withhold the cleaning deposit and still expect industrial cleaning was not appropriate I did ask for a hose to spray out but that request was not answered. Not once did anyone express any sympathy for what your tenants have gone thru.It was all demands. I did get some kindness from the manager as I was leaving who indicated that she would sanitize which is your responsibility. I would never recommend this storage facility for these reasons and also because it is built on a flood plain. this will happen again.Also you must be aware that the flooding water had obviously brought sewage water in. It appears to be more of a ground water swell. With the nearby hospital it is very concering what contaminates were brought it. You should have been kind and sympathetic then of course ask tenants to remove items so you could clean and sanitise.LYNETTE Z. | Overall Experience

Get a real reservation service for your trailers instead of the request for reservation I made a supposed reservation only to find out the day before that my trailer was given to a walk in so what is the point of even doing the request for reservation then had to drive a hour and a half away to go pick up my trailer from this location this was an absolutely terrible experience not necessarily with the location but with your website and call center the people at your call center that I talked to were very incompetent also with this location what U-Haul location only rents trucks and pick-up trucks the trailer that was dropped off there allegedly wasn't supposed to even be accepted at this location so that seems very dumb if you are going to be a U-Haul drop off location at the bare minimum you should at least accept trailers and be able to pick them up from thereJonathan R.
Door to unit did not seal well, so ended up with quite a lot of dust in the unit, as well as a mouse. When we first rented, staff was friendly and helpful. This changed during the last couple of years. That said, it is a good facility overall and serves it’s purpose wellMARK H. | Overall Experience

The trucks aren't equipped to operate in cold conditions. The front desk clerk said NOTHING about the potential of the engine not starting given the cold weather. However, 2 hours after the vehicle was parked, it would not start. Roadside assistance was u able to find a towing company to assist the night of my rental, so I had to find a ride and wait until the morning. After getting assistance the next day, finishing my rental, I went to return it and explained what happened and that SAME front desk clerk said â€œoh yeah, that happens all the time with these trucks because uhaul doesn't put a heater in the engine.â€ This is a safety issue that should at the very least he brought to the attention of the renter prior to getting on the road. I will never use this renting facility again.KELLY M.
The van itself was nice. When I returned it, the app would not let me upload a second picture of cleanliness, so I had to call uhaul. It was a very long wait 45 minutes or so. The lady who answered was very helpful. However, the next day I received a call from the business park lady who said I had left the van with mud. Basically, a few pieces of gravel from my shoes. She was going to charge me $50. I was an hour away, so had a friend go over and sweep out the gravel. He said it took 3 minutes and the lady was rude. I would use uhaul again, but not that business. Picking up the truck with the app was a total FAIL. I tried to get answers about why the app didn't show my reservation BEFORE pickup day, but the agent assured me it would work (it did not). Then I spent an hour on hold trying to get help. All of this would have been avoided if UHaul would have let me pick up my truck where I originally wanted, which would have been staffed by a person.Stefanie W.

I am very unhappy with U-Haul right now. The Livingston location is not the problem. They were terrific. The overall experience, however, was awful. We reserved in Bozeman and the next day the reservation was cancelled. No explanation given. We found out that they had no trucks by visiting the store. There is no coordination between locations so we had to not only find our own new reservation but had to drive nearly 50 miles to get to it, costing me $100 more than the local store. The customer service is awful and the reservation process worse. Now I get a survey to rate the location only but not the experience. Get it together U-Haul. This is not the way you should be helping your customers during an already stressful activity. I've always used U-Haul for our moves, but you have me re-thinking that and next time, I will be checking other companies first.Patricia R.

I had reserved a 10 foot truck and tow dolly three weeks in advance of my move. Two days before I was scheduled to pick up the truck and dolly I was contacted by a representative of Uhaul, stating that the truck would not be available and could I change my reservation. I had to move 700 miles and be in my new city for a new job just three days from the scheduled move. When I told Uhaul that I could not change my reservation date the representative then asked me if I could drive to another city that was two and a half hours away and pick up a truck and drive it back to the city I was moving from, resulting in a five hour round trip to secure a truck. When I asked why personnel from the Uhaul center that I was to pick the truck up from could not go pick it up I was told they did not have the manpower to do do. After telling the representative that I could not travel that distance to pick up a truck , drive it back and then load it to move I was told it was my lucky day. My lucky day???!!! A larger truck was available but I still had to travel 30 minutes outside of my location to get the truck, and at a higher cost since it was larger than I reserved, and needed. When I picked the truck up I was told of the location I had to go back to the next day to pick up the tow dolly. The location to pick up the tow dolly was confirmed on two occasions on Thursday. Friday morning, with the truck loaded and ready to head out of town, I went to the arranged location to pick up the tow dolly. Upon arrival I was informed that the tow dolly was not there, but in another location 30 miles away. When I got to the new location to pick up the tow dolly the Uhaul representative hooked the dolly up to the truck but refused to assist in loading and securing my car to the dolly for liability reasons. This was after I had asked and confirmed multiple times that indeed they would do that as I have no idea how to properly use that equipment to ensure safety for all. After the Uhaul representative called several locations to ask if they would assist, and all denying to do so, I refused rental and asked for a refund as we would not be using the tow dolly and would just drive the truck and car separately. The Uhaul representative took my card and said a credit had been posted. After I asked for a receipt the Uhaul then said that the credit did not go through and took my information and said a check would have to be mailed. Three days later I received a call from Uhaul asking me if I still needed said tow dolly. When I shared my experience I was told that yes, they just cancelled it and now a refund would post. I have used Uhaul before but will never again after this experience. I was misinformed multiple times, but the most unbelievable part of the experience was the refusal to assist with the tow dolly and loading and securing the car, expecting a consumer who does not use this equipment to do so safely. Overall and extremely disappointing experience. The next time I need a truck for moving I will look to another company.KAREN C.

The 24/7 pickup and return system sucks and is the worst experience I have ever had with any company. It took me 2+hours to pick up my reserved truck and then I had to call 3 times before that happened. Then on the return the system leads a person part way through and when they hit continue it does nothing just leaves a person hanging in thin air and the return is not completed. The people at the location were very helpful and considerate and completed the check in on the next morning. I will not use this again, I signed up for an account as advised but had to repeat all of that information plus some that could have been given prior to prevent all the double info of the same things. This is stupid and redundant. If you figure out how to make this system user friendly and not repetitive let the world know or I will not use this again.Dixie B.

The lady running the business was pleasant and positive. I appreciate her as a gracious person. The glitch was, however, that in spite of reserving the vehicle ahead of time, much of my information already given over the phone to the gentleman at Yellowstone Import apparently could not be found in the system. At the Business Park location, when I went to pickup the vehicle, the lady was experiencing sustained computer problems. It took 40 minutes before we were able to leave. In the meantime, picking up my helper plus the extra 40 minutes required to check out the van, cost me an hour's wages for him before we even got to the location for the items to move. As I said, the lady was gracious, but it was not an efficient experience due to the computer issues.Marla B.

It was good once I had all my browser and camera settings fixed. Good thing I had my 20 year old there to do that. I think the online process should be completed through the approval BEFORE arrival. Then a quick verification of photos and a lockbox code. I arrived while the location was open for the check out, which was quick and easyPeter T.
The Lady whom I dealt with was nice and courteous until it came to identifying a bald tire on the trailer. Her attitude shifted to not her problem and to go through uhaul.com or call the 1-800 number. I don't think this location even inspects the equipment. I wish I would have undone the straps that go over the tires. When I went to strap down my car, I found that the strap was broken and too short to reach the ratchet. Thankfully I had 2 semi truck straps with me for extra precaution. FYI, one of the other tires blew up and had to get a 2nd tire. Again the roadside assistance was awesome, professional, and quick. Maybe a better inspection might have seen faulty or worn out trailer parts.ANDREW E.

This has been the case at other UHaul locations, suggesting it is not the location's issue, but a need to improve software interface with your dealers.Karen C.
