The service from the ladies there was outstanding! I've had to rent from there before and was not looking forward to doing it again! But they we're extremely friendly and very easy to relate to. They explain everything I needed to know and we're very pleasant! I hope they're there to stay!
Lisa MThe staff is in inadequate, rude and impulsive. They have very poor customer service skills. Feel that they can put their scheduled demands on people. Instead of being normal they feel that they can place abnormal demands. Good luck on that. Thanks to this and my last return U-Haul experience I am now either going to purchase my own enclosed trailer or find some other company for my future rentals.

Linda HI was very happy with the trailer it was in great shape and worked well. I was not happy to be charged an extra day because I dropped the trailer off a 9:30 instead of 9 am. When I spoke to the lady Sunday when I picked up the unit I said I would drop it off at 4:30 PM Sunday. She said we will be closed at 4PM Sunday but bring it by in the morning on Monday by 9 - 9:30 no problem. Then the new girl charged me an extra days rent. Will NOT be using this branch again.
Allan CWas no help to hook up. Young lady was so sick and constantly coughing. She should not have been at work. Told her there was corrosion on the wires for the lights she said oh well I let them know. She did not check to make sure it was hooked up properly. She did not check our lights. Inside of the uhual hadn't been swept. When I arrived at 9am She wasn't even ready for me and hadn't even turned on the computer. She was lazy and slow. Will not go back here and would never recommend this place. Will drive to calgary for better service, friendly staff and good working equipment. Overall I was very upset. She even told me if I brought it back early I would have a partial refund and I have recieved nothing!
Chelsea SAshely was great to deal with very helpful not to overly happy with check engine light on and being charged 2 days at full rate when I had the truck back early and w hours after a Dailey also false advertising it says 1.09 a km on website and I was charged 1.75
Even TTrailer looked like it hasn’t seen a car wash in months, will not use this location again if no assistance is available for lifting trailer onto vehicle hitch. A 6 x 12 trailer that is sitting with the tongue completely on the ground is a lot for one person to lift on to the hitch. I now have a back injury due to struggling to hook up a trailer from U-Haul which I what always had assistance in hitching up at other locations
andy hThe mechanisim for tightening the hitch needed a good cleaning as it would barely move. I had to tighten it myself as the employee said it was good enough but the trailer was lifting quite a bit off the hitch. Upon return, a young female barely came out of the office to hand me a stand to put the trailer on. There was no assistance whatsoever putring the trailer back. She never inspected it or came out of the office again. I have rented trailers many times, some of which have been in Calgary. The cuatomer service at the Calgary location is amazing as they make sure the trailer is properly in place and guide you to the drop spot and remove the trailer. I will drive to Calgary over usind this location in Strathmore. The female staff member was extremely lazy and dis not perform her job.
Elaine SReserved a car hauler to be picked up 5 days after reservation was made. I received a call late the day before pick-up from the location I requested at Kensington Auto, 2201 Kensington Rd NW Calgary, AB T2N3R9 Pick Up Date: Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 8:00 saying they didn’t have one available. I was told I had to drive to another town about 45 minutes away to pick it up. My reservation was confirmed pick up at 8 AM on March 7th. When I arrived at Strathmore to pick up the trailer they didn’t open until 10:00 AM. After picking up the trailer I had to buy a trailer pin because there wasn’t one on the trailer. Driving through the night from Calgary to Winnipeg we found out there were no running lights on the trailer. We turned on the parking lights on the car we had one the trailer. The battery ended up dying so we had to unhook the trailer and boost the car and leave it run for 8 hours until the sun came up. The trip with the trailer turned out to be more difficult than it should have been. I mentioned the running lights and missing pin when I returned the trailer in Winnipeg but was not confident they were interested in fixing those issues.

Ian AOverall , the main lady at the office that I dealt with was lovely. However when booking the U-Haul I was given a lot of misinformation which could have resulted in higher charges to me thankfully the main office lady cleared things up (the confirmation phone call before actually picking up the truck was the Saving grace in that scenario) Unfortunately the U-Haul we rented had previously been used right before we picked it up and the last person who used it left it quiet dirty and smoked in it , the U-Haul itself also had some damage/mechanical issues but at the end of the day did the job So overall it wasn’t a horrible experience but definitely more stressful than I thought it would be
Stephanie DAshley was extremely easy and good to work with, the trailer was clean but was missing a chain and 3 marker lights were out . Ashley had a chain installed and off I went. I would rent from this location because of the treatment I received from Ashley. She was very accommodating and bent over backwards to make sure I didn't have to worry about anything.
Clancy PStaff great at location. Your vehicles are NOT maintained and too expensive to run and rent. BUT THERE IS NO OTHER ALTERNATIVE

Tadeusz-Winc ZI was told that I would get my deposit back as long as I brought the same card as I used for the deposit. Which I did. When I returned the equipment I was told they couldn't refund my deposit. It would be mailed to me. That is garbage. With the back log of mail it will take a month to get my deposit back. Will never recommend or use U Haul again
Kenneth JI had booked a reservation for the Blackfoot trail location in calgary alberta 2 weeks prior to moving. The day before I was texted to call for confirmation only to be told upon calling that the 26 ft truck I booked would not be available in the city on the day booked. So I had to come to this location (Strathmore AB an hour away) to collect the truck here and then the trailer, box dollys and moving blankets from dirty location in the NE of Calgary. The attendant offered a smaller vehicle which would not have been sufficient and other than a bland apology nothing was done besides sending me to Strathmore to collect thr truck. If you're going to offer a reservation service and don't understand the basics of what a reservation is don't offer them. This is not the first time I have used uhaul and had this experience and sadly with lack of drop off option locations in my destination was stuck with continuing the rental. Honestly disgusted with how uhaul operates. They give no regard to their clients time and trust placed for them to provide the service booked and paid for. A disclaimer in fine print somewhere in absolutely no excuse for the ignorance of a failed reservation. The attendant Ashley in strathmore was helpful with getting our rental together quickly. The truck had not been started and there was washerfluid in it on pickup otherwise all was well at this location.

Ed VI did not want insurance coverage but the attendant didn’t know how to remove it from the invoice so I had to pay for it, not happy

Anthony APlease have access to blankets. This was a big problem. We needed blankets for moving and this location has none. That is not an issue because I could go to another location for them right? Wrong. Went to 2 other locations and they rejected handing them over since they would have went to Saskatchewan on a 1 way trip. This was extremely annoying and frustrating especially because corporate got involved and still could not resolve it. We moved without blankets. Seems like nothing was damaged but overall a hard time and a rough experience. It's not this locations fault. But the company has some issues to overcome. I paid $1000 for a one way trip from Calgary to Saskatchewan Regina. It wouldn't hurt to actually make sure we get the $12 for a dozen blankets.

Antonio OHave the office use/update software for mileage rates to be in Kilometers, ( it is Canada Eh! ) The rental process was smooth and efficient; other then me having to figure out miles/$ to klm/$ when did it change in Canada like in the mid seventies? The Equipment was clean, and functional. Would be great to have availability to pu a 1/2ton pickup and or a van at Strathmore locations. Can scheduling arrange for one to be available for pu in Strathmore for longer. at one time there was a van out in strathmore.

We had to drive to another town to get the uhual and don't be it back and then return it to that town which cost is more money and double the fuel when u haul made the mistake. I will be calling for a reduction in price due to all the inconveniences and poor planning.

blaine sI reserved my U-haul 2 weeks in advance. As per the website, "our reservation is guaranteed". We received a call the day before that they would not be able to accommodate our reservation and the only place able to accommodate us was an extra hour out of our way. Left with no chose with only 24 hours notice to find other transportation. Plus, we had to drive the unit back to that same location which was another hour to return. On top of things, we had to drop it off on Saturday and had chosen a location that could accommodate that. However, the new location was not open and wanted us to pay and come back the following day which was another two hours out of our way. That wasn't going to happen and had no chose but to leave it at their front door. I don't blame the location as they were stuck with us. But the way this was managed and handle was horrible and not impressed with the U-haul system and especially when they falsely state our reservation is guarantee as that wasn't the case at all. Moving is stressful enough and be told less than 24 hours before that you now have no way to move your house...that is stressful.
