Had all of my friends lined up to help me move, things in motion, I go to pick up the truck, and the key is not in the lock box!?! Had to make 3 different calls to Uhaul for help and had to re-explain the situation each time. I was livid! Unacceptable!! I was still charged full price for everything and that is ridiculous. There should have been some sort of discount for the headache I endured for the simple act of picking up the truck.

Timothy BrownI had to move 435 miles in 2 days. At the advertised price for a 20 ft box truck the cost should have been $99 per day and .99 cents per mile. This equals 634.65. The final invoice I was charged was over $1,300 dollars.don’t understand why my invoice was twice what it should have been.

Austin WallsI made a reservation at a location for a Sunday pickup. I was called Saturday to let me know my truck would be at a different location that isn't open on Sundays. I arrived at the location and an hour later still didn't have my truck. I had to drive over 20 minutes to another state to pick up a truck. When I arrived that truck was blocked in and I had to do some creative maneuvering in order to get the truck onto the road. By the time I arrived with the truck the movers had been there over 30 minutes waiting. Movers are insanely expensive and it made my move incredibly stressful.

James ParmleyThe uhaul truck I had was terrible. It smelled of cat/dog urine. Their was pet hair every. I have severe allergies to pets. It there was smoke and ashes in the car. I have rented several trucks and it was very disappointing to spend 200$ + and get . There was literally kleenax tissues in the vehicle . I dropped my phone and reached down to pull up several used tissues and dog hair. I want a manager to call me ASAP. This was 100% not acceptable.
Vernon WrightWhile renting the truck yesterday, the gentleman working in the shop did not bother to give me an estimate of how much it would cost, any paper work showing the overall break down of costs, or even a receipt after swiping my card for the transaction. After returning the truck today I was shocked to see my card had been charged for $256.38. That seems a little outrageous for less than 24 hours on the rental and no damage done to the vehicle. Also when he asked me if I wanted to get the extra protection plan for the day he told me it would be a $15 charge. According to my bill in my email I was charged $28 for that service. I am not happy with how little information I was given on this rental and I am definitely not pleased with the overall cost for less than 24 hours on the rental. For that price I could have hired a moving crew and saved myself the trouble of doing it. I hope this poor quality of service is not provided to every customer that uses this facility.
KAYLEE JOHNSTONI was initially supposed to pick up the truck in Paducah. When I received the phone call that I had to pick it up in Metropolis, it was not offered as a choice by the lady on the phone (it was in the email that followed). This meant that I had to have two people drive from Paducah to Metropolis, then back again with my vehicle, as it was being used in the move as well and I was coming from Marion. U-Haul (corporately, not the local place) only had a month to figure this out, but chose to inconvenience me with less than a day's notice. How difficult would it have been to have a U-Haul employee drive the vehicle to my intended pickup location.

HOWARD PALMERSecond time using this location. First time computer system down and after half hour plus delay final got our trailer. Had to leave all our info written down on a scrap of paper, very uncomfortable with that. Second time here for pick up ... all pre registered...no one at sight location. After half hour found a young man over at C&W ... took him another half hour to figure out what to do. There were others waiting in line behind us to get a unit as well....not goog, not good at all.

He wanted me to go an hour out of my way to get it. I was on hold with him more than once. In my opinion he didn’t try to hard to help resolve my problem. I had to get 3 grown men to help me pull that strap out

Francis WalshWe were told by the staff that the truck was half full of fuel. There was a 40 gallon fuel tank on the truck. We filled it up before we left Metropolis. It took 30 gallons to fill it up. It was NOT half full. This discrepancy was addressed with the staff at the receiving end. They indicated they would address the issue with their colleagues at the pick up location. We paid for the fuel required to get it half full and it cost us $9.and change...at $4.36 or so per gallon.
