The U-Haul system for self-serve pickup and drop off is worthless. Your app crashes and both your app and your website repeatedly fail with cryptic error messages. We went through the return flow several times and it failed every time. Then none of the methods of contact (like chat) worked at all. We are all technically proficient so I can assure you this is not user error. Fortunately there was a helpful attendant at this drop off location who checked us out. But you guys really need to hire better tech staff for your app and site.Kipling K.

The location was convenient, the attendant was wonderful and his service was great. The van did have some issues. Please have the left rear turn signal and the rear door locking switch fixed, as they did not work. I thought I had rented a van tall enough to load a queen size mattress vertically, but that was not the case. The image online indicated that this was true (the image shows the taller standup style van, but this was a typical three quarter ton delivery van with split side doors and a narrower rear opening). The online return paperwork was a bit of a challenge, but we stumbled our way through it.WALTER W.
This was my first U-haul experience and I think it worked like a charm ! Everything seemed easy with that U-Haul 10' truck. However, I believe that 4 hours for a basic package ( for a 10' truck) seems little short. Normally it would take 90 min to load the truck and pretty much same to unload it. IF you add body fatigue and weather conditions, it could take longer. So, I think to attract more customers you could increase the time from 4 hours to 5 hours for the basic package ( $19.95+$1.59/mile). OR for people who are doing U-hauling for the first time according to your records in computer, you could give them an additional hour (again instead of 4, give them 5 hours) as first timers don't really have idea how long could it take to load the truck. When I picked up the Uhaul in Salt Lake City, the employee confirmed that I could drop off the uhaul with in Pullman WA or Moscow ID. The Pullman location was closed by the time I was ready to drop it off, so I went to Moscow. I was then told that this was the incorrect location and that I would be charged an extra 130$ to drop it off there. I refused as I didn't think that was fair, I headed to the Pullman location and was having trouble with the online drop off (using two different phones, we were unable to share our location despite allowing it in the app). Luckily an employee was there after hours and agreed to check it in for us. I wish the employee in Salt Lake City would have told us from the beginning and spared us the extra drive and time after a long tripâ€¦Lauren A.

The location did not have the boxes that we had ordered. We had to get the TV box and the blankets we ordered from Moscow. We had to drive the truck to Moscow to pick up the supplies we needed. We had originally booked in Moscow and the truck was then switched to Pullman. The guy there was nice in Moscow but the booking system was mess up.Jeffrey H.

100% better than Moscow. Great customer service, easy to get ahold of and work with. I had spent a good two hours trying to rent from Moscow UHAUL Finally I went in person and I was second in line, when it was my turn the woman got up and said I will be right back?? Another employee came in and could not get me what I wanted. By that time there was 4 more people in line behind me. The kicker was when I walked out that woman and another employee are in the parking lot smoking...C & S was great from beginning to end...ROBERT M.
