Our original truck was supposed to be at 8am at U-Haul center in Moscow ID. The day before we got a call that we couldn’t have that truck but we could have one in Pullman, WA at 10:30am. We had to reschedule our moving help from 10am to 11am. Fine. Our second truck was not returned on time by the previous renter and it turned out they had a miscommunication and were not planning to bring it back until 5pm when we had it rented at 10:30. The gal at C&S mini storage in Pullman, WA was super helpful and made several calls to try to find us another truck. The U-Haul app gave us an update that said there was a truck in Moscow ID. We drove 15 minutes to that location and they had no idea what we were talking about because they did NOT have a truck for us. Meanwhile, our U-Haul hired moving help was waiting for us at our home. I talked to a U-Haul rep on the phone and they didn’t know when or where I would be getting a truck. We left Moscow and went home to just wait for a call back. This was a very stressful time for us because we had a tight schedule at our new location (after the move). About a hour later the U-Haul rep called back and was able to get the original renters to return the truck. C&S mini storage called us (above and beyond) to let me know it was ready. We finally drove off at around 12:45pm and miraculously, our moving help waited for us (also above and beyond). The truck was clean but it was missing a muffler which led to the mudflap being melted through and a hole worn through the body on the passenger side near where the muffler was supposed to be. There were literally no other trucks within a reasonable distance so we had to take it. We drove caravan style with another car right behind the U-Haul for 500+ miles to make sure nothing caught fire. We reported the damage to the drop off location.

STEVEN HNo where did I see what size ball mount I needed for this trailer. I didn’t find out until I went to pick it up. I had to go to the store and buy a new one since this location didn’t sell just the ball. Mine was slightly too large. There was no lock on the ball mount to secure the trailer while unhitched.
SHARON NThis location has good customer service and helped me when the van I rented was not available. Returning after hours was not a good experience! This is on the fault of the U-Haul app and all its websites. It took us a while to realize that the QR code on the return equipment sign was just for the app download. The QR code for actually returning a vehicle was on the truck door. Maybe signage to this effect would be helpful. Also the website and app wanted too many permissions and when granted could not find my location. For the after hours return…I would give it 2 stars just to U-Haul for complicating things as it took me 20 minutes to figure everything out via apps and websites. Everything is geared towards renting and nothing about returning after hours.

I had questions about the rental rate I had in my confirmation email and I was shut down and said no, that would never be true and that I had to pay for mileage. The vehicle was also not given at a full tank, it is near impossible to return something to at less than full. So I returned the vehicle nearly full. I feel like I should be compensated for that. Also, to top everything off, the van was disgusting. Dusty, smoked out, dog hair everywhere, sticky stuff everywhere and an awful smell. For paying as much as I did, this was the worst experience I have ever had with UHAUL. If I have to rent another UHAUL, I will never come to this location again.
ASHLEY BI was called and told that the planned drop off place lot was full and I would have to drive 1 1/2 hours to return it which was impossible for me to do . The coordinator stated I could personally call and see if the local place would take it. I did and they were wonderful and actually had room ! I believe that I was told to take it to the far away location for the convenience of uhaul to distribute equipment around.

Linda TThe truck smelled like pot and the aux outlet was broken so we had no way to listen to music. Made for a long 17 hours with out music. The location I was supposed to pick the truck up was also changed from Moscow to Pullman the day before which was not convenient since I had made the reservation a month in advance specifically for Moscow.
AMY DNo one on site. Not crazy about the online checkout process. We filled out the online form, took all the pictures and the the site just shut down, so we weren’t sure if we did the return successfully or not. We didn’t get a confirming email. So the turn in process was a bit lacking.
Lori LStaff was very helpful and professional. Some customers might find the yard hard to find (Pullman has a crazy street layout) and/or the hillside location difficult to navigate.
