The site did not know I was coming. It took 1 hour and 20 minutes to get my trailer. They never registered me in the system and I received no paperwork so when I went to drop it off there was no contract in the system(had I gotten into an accident I would have had no insurance coverage even though I paid extra for it because technically I was not in contract. And had I been stopped it would have looked like I stole the trailer because I had no contract). Because of that it took another 40 minutes to drop off. The ball was not attached properly so the trailer fell off as I was driving(luckily I had read the safety instructions so I was able to pull it off the road w/out getting into an accident). The floor of the trailer made all my items dirty. I still don't have a receipt of the contract 2 days later.STEVEN K.

The vehicles steering is completely horrifying. You turn the wheel left it goes right and vis versa.the vehicle needs to be fixed in the front end. Not safeJUSTIN S.
Had requested equipment - none of which was in the vehicle at pick up, needed to drive to another town (note extra mileage which I had to pay for when I turned in the truck) to pick up blankets for the move. Can not say enough positive about the Uhaul location in Northampton, MA we visited on this same day. An early morning planned move turned in to a 2 day event as by the time the truck was ready, equipment rounded up it was after supper time - moving crew decided to eat, rest and start in the morning. I definitely do not find fault with the young man that helped me originally but the manager was rude at best, so no I would not recommend this facility in West Springfield, I will recommend Northampton.Eric M.

it is so crazy i went there get a haul track and they charged me almost $70 for 1 hour which is i drove 28 mile thats ridiculous . i think u guys should take care of it that kind staff not to happen . i definitely not recumbent this location to my any friend !!! and also i start telling seller person thats not ride and that not the first time I'm renting uhaul and he just ignored my talk and said thats what i have to pay blah blah .... definitely poor service ..Vugar A.

There was lots of confusion as the previous person never dropped off the trailer I was supposed to pick up, even though someone from cap and hitch called me the day before to confirm my reservation. There seemed to be "no record" of who called from where. I would suggest a re-confirmation to the previous customer before calling me could have saved me an hour wait in the store. Ultimately I was forced to take a smaller trailer.CORRINE L.

While the location and the staff at Cap & Hitch were friendly and helpful, I cannot say the same for the uHaul company itself. I had reseverved a 26ft truck well over a week before needing it and recieved a confirmation for my reservation. Less than one day before I was to pick up the truck, I received a call from UHual that the 26 foot truck would not be available and instead I would be recieving a 20 foot truck and possibly a trailer at no additional charge. I voiced my concern that I did not feel the 20 ft truck and trailer would be big enough for what we would need. As it turned out, the truck was not big enough, we had to go back to pick up the trailer (which forced us to pay our moving help for an additonal hour!!) and even then we ran out of room. I know for a fact that our items would have fit in the 26ft truck as that we the size truck we used to move into this location and we have not increased our belongings. UHaul made our move more stressful than it needed to be.TRICIA O.

Transaction seemed to take a little long as I think the guy was new so I don't blame him, but there weren't any issues and I was still out of there within 1/2 hour or so, which is more than reasonable. It was quite handy only having to deviate less than 2 miles from where I needed the trailer too!RICK M.

I returned the truck on Saturday. The origional return location on Windsor rd listed on our contract had a locked gate so we were unable to return the truck there. So we returned it to this location. The truck was not checked in until Monday and I was charged an extra day that I am still trying to resolve. Overall this was a terrible experience.AMY W.

Keep the equipment ready for renting at a moment's notice. The rate charged was very excessive for the quality of the product that we rented. We were not at all happy with the charge for this trailer rental and will think long and hard before we decide to rent from u-haul again.
