I reserved a U-Haul truck for 10:45 PM and drove 20 minutes to the location where the truck was at to be told they could not give me the truck until the next day. But they took the money out that night. Being unable to get the truck that night significantly altered my moving plans. The staff the next day were really nice, the truck was clean, and I finally made my move. If renting a U-Haul from this location don't reserve anything after 9:00 PM because the system will be down.Tejon W.

I did a one way rental from Daytona to Riverview. Paperwork says to call when arriving for drop off. I called and was rudely told to come inside and hung up on. Get back inside he tells me to get a picture of mileage and gas. I get the picture and show him, he asks did i just take the picture, which I reply yes. My paperwork is on the counter. He asked where i rented from, i said Daytona. He asks what size truck, i say 10'. He says i need to take it back to Daytona. I said per my paperwork, i paid for a one way rental and the return location is your store. He didn't even bother looking but just said ok this time. I requested 1/2 Dozen Furniture Pads: $5.00 but there were 3 house blankets in truck. Truck was dirty and not full on gas. I took pictures of the scratches on truck but could not get the web site to load scratches prior to rental. U-Haul employee (gas station) didn't seem interested in my comments. We were expected to take the items out of the truck and put it near the storage. I was very confused as to why I was asked to do that. After the look of confusion she saw on my face, she said forget it, I will do it! It was expressed in a unprofessional tone. Made me feel like it was my responsibility to do that for her. Location is in a busy gas station with a Subway restaurant inside and the agents are pulling triple duty making subs and waiting on other customers. The guy who helped me when I picked up the truck was kind and helpful although the truck was dirty and not broom swept when I picked it up. When I returned the truck, the older gentleman who took care of me was a miserable old man. His English was horrible so communication was difficult. He actually hung up on me when I called with questions prior to arriving. He was not pleasant in the least nor were his customer service skills anything other than horrible. When I arrived she told me and my sister sorry about the driver portion of the truck no time to clean before your rental. When I went to return the truck she had the nerve to ask me if it was clean. It is still in the same disgusting state in which you gave it to me, food and a side of ants to go with it on the floor. Dust and grime in the door handles. Also I think that it is interesting that they charged me for 1 of the dollies outside of my quote online which included 2 dollies, separately. No real experience rental people at this location? Marathon Filling Station/SUBWAY SANDWICHES. Only two(2) employees in store when I picked up rental vehicle. The one that waited on me was a little experience with doing the paper work but that was about all. The Cargo Area had a smashed used box & cargo area needed swept out. I would much rather rent directly from a U Haul store. The process of picking up in a remote location and online took forever. It took over 10 minutes for it to process my application while I was picking it up, yet I had already reserved it and entered my information server am days before. The rental reservation was not ready until 6:00 PM. When it was reserved for 4:30 PM. The equipment reserved was not at the location( appliance dolly), shorted off the order, which made moving 10 times harder. The pads were just thrown on the other side of the building in a heaping unfolded pile opposite where the truck was and I was told to drive over and pick them up. The clerk processing everything was not knowledgable on what he was doing and very argumentative through out the process. I think you need to stop doing U-Hall from this location, the staff and management at that location are ruining the U-Hall name and reputation.Gregory W.

I went there to rent a Van and the lady told me online to book myself saying that it would be easier for me but really it was making her job easier seeing as that she wouldn't do anything and I would be doing everything. I still called to make the reservation and went inside after booking over the phone, she still got kind of upset and not happy to see that she still had to input information into the system. Her customer service was really poor if you ask me, the Van that I rented was filthy and dusty. It is crucial to ha e clean vehicles with this COVID-19 going on and the Van was really dirty. I have taken pictures but there is not a way to upload pictures on here. I brought it to the other lady attention and she never addressed it at all to I guess the other lady who runs the store with the attitude. I have not even been offered a discount, refund or anything. We ordered a 15-foot truck from the Brandon location and received an email that our pick-up location was 3002 U.S. Hwy 301 but it gave no city, zip code, or other information about where this location was. Even the Brandon store could not tell us. We never did find this address. We were directed to the location where we did rent the vehicle; however, they did not have a 15-foot vehicle, so were forced to rent a 20-foot. We asked for a concession on the charge due to the inavailability of the vehicle requested and this request was refused. We asked if the vehicle had been disinfected and were told it had not been. We asked for product to wipe down the steering wheel and other surfaces and none were offered. We received the vehicle with a bit less than 1/2 tank of gas and drove about 34 miles. When we refueled the tank, one of us watched the guage while the other pumped the gas. The guage did not move until the tank was full and we had pumped $23.00 in gas when it probably only needed less than $10.00.We asked for an adjustment of the fuel charge and were told,that if we didn't refuel they would have done that and charged us but this was our mistake. I have rented from U-Haul for more than 40 years and have never been treated so poorly! I will never rent from this location again! Very disappointed! .the point ofmarilyn S.

When I went to pick up the truck, the employee was asking me to sign the rental contract WITHOUT inspecting the mileage, gas and overall condition of the truck. I told him I was not going to sign something that was not inspected. He refused to go out with me to inspect the truck together. He felt insulted and said that it was the "first time" that someone has ever done that to him. I told him that when It comes to business and contracts absolutely EVERYTHING must be documented before a customer signs any contracts. This is to protect both the business AND the consumer. I inspected the truck on my own, I took pictures of the interior and exterior of the truck to cover myself. I cleaned the truck since they rented it out to me very dirty in the inside. When I returned the truck, another employee told me to just take a picture at the miles and gas. Again, to cover myself I took pictures of the entire truck inside and out. The location staff was totally inefficient and has no respect for customer. They took 45 mins to handover the vehicle to me although, I had booked online and was the first in the queue. They would often break in between and go to serve the food customers. The first staff member actually went to make sandwich for a customer to came after me and never came back. My process was completed by s second guy. They were rude and had no respect for customers. He even went to say that I am foolish for not opting the insurance, which I thought is none of his business. He even went on to say, if you dont like, dont come again. I had to take the vehicle as I had to choice but it was totally humiliating and insulting. I submitted my reservation online at the location because I was told they couldn't do it manually. After submitting mu reservation for a one way from to Apollo Beach, the store clerk informed me that the employee who completes the Uhaul reservations had left and wouldn't be bak for an hour and he didn't know how to do. The Uhaul company called me about the reservation and I explained that their employee had left. I was told that if he didn't return, they would charge him $50 for leaving without telling them and not guaranteeing my reservation. The subway employee went online to complete my orde but couldn't authorize it. So the store clerk finally decided to call the Uhaul store employee who gave him directives via phone. Ive never had an issue with any uhaul except for this location. Its inside a gas station and just not very practical. Very small area to manuver the truck around and lots of people in and out. My uhaul had no lock outs on the equipment in the vehicle (like for the dolly and extra blankets) and I was concerned i would be charged for them.
