To not charge people without notifying them that they are being charged more than they were told. This is bad business, and I am fighting my current charges that were not told to me when renting the u-haul. I would not recommend anyone using u-haul ever again. Falsifying charges on my debit card unauthorized.

You're asking all the wrong questions. What you should be asking is "was U-Haul satisfactory?", the answer is "absolutely not". I have never had a worst experience. Your online mechanisms malfunction constantly, I waited two hours at the site for the lock code to even get the truck. Every agent I spoke to was rude and unsympathetic. Your "truck share" platform and "e solutions" are abominable and your staff on the phone is terrible. My collective hold time for an agent was over one hour, they were rude on top of that. I stood outside the gas station for two hours working to get the access code for the truck key lock. It was awful and I want my money back for the awful experience.

I wish I could get negative stars because in this situation that would apply. I literally had the worst customer service experience with Uhaul that I've ever had with a company in my entire life. And that's saying a lot!!!! I'm an interior designer and had a project in Austin that I needed to haul things too for install. I called and tried to get a hitch installed with a pull along long trailer. The gentleman from the Prosper location said he found multiple in the area and that they could install that day and was going to call me back to verify. Never heard back from him and called the next morning and was informed he was now out of town and would not be back available to do a setup until Tuesday morning. My project install started on Monday so that wouldn't work. I was informed I could go to the Richardson location and drop my vehicle off in the morning and pick it up at the end of the day. I watched the video on how to install a hitch and it is literally 6 bolts and I probably could have done it myself but I didn't want to risk it. I asked repeatedly for a smaller time frame as the Richardson location was quite a hike. No time frame could be given other than you can pick it up at the end of the day. My next solution then was to rent a truck and use a pull along dolly for my car, not ideal but would get the job done. We went to U-Haul in Prosper and three kids not older than 18 years old tried to set this trailer up and we're not having any success. They went into the store to try to get the manager help them multiple times and he never came out. After about 20 to 30 minutes of them trying to get my car on this dolly they assure me that everything is set up correctly. I was doubtful. I repeatedly asked if it was set up correctly, two of the people had absolutely no idea what they were doing and the other pretended he knew. They assured me everything was set up correctly. During the drive, I noticed the tires of my vehicle were at a odd angle. I stopped multiple times to check on it, it just did not feel like it was set up correctly. I finally arrived in Austin and the car came off of the dolly and got lodged on the trailer fender. It was a terrible feeling of anxiety as my car was at a terrible position and there was a lot of crunching going on. We had my dogs in the car that was being towed and my daughter was with me, it was 9:00 at night and I called U-Haul roadside assistance and they said it would take $250 for someone to come out to help me. Thankfully we were not far from my friend's house and they and the kindness of strangers figured out how to get the car off of this situation, cut the chain that was holding the car. The left side tire the bootstrap had completely come off, the chains had come off the other side which is why the car was lodged that way. I kept getting disconnected from Representatives at U-Haul and kept requesting to speak to a manager. I finally had it all sorted out the car is off and it's about an hour later and U-Haul calls to say that they have someone to come out to help. Two little too late. I still have the truck full of the items for my project so I needed to get it dropped off the next morning. The dolly is bouncing around on the back since there is nothing on it so I felt very unsafe driving it. I went to the U-Haul closest to my friend's house and the person told me that they don't take trailers. Didn't even try to help in any way shape or form. They just don't accept trailers. Fine. I went to another location closer to my project off Manor Rd and the gentleman was very rude and said that they don't take truck and trailer separately and I would have to call Uhaul. I was on the phone holding for you all for 25 minutes, the guy came back out and was very rude again, I asked him to help me take off the dolly hitch and he turned around and left me standing there alone and frustrated to figure it out. Again, customer service hung up on me. I finally figured out how to get it off and left it there, a manager called from corporate and I gave her a full report of the whole situation and told them where the trailer was located and the situation. I then get a call and a voicemail from someone at uhaul saying if I don't come up and pick up this trailer immediately I would be charged double for it. I get everything unloaded from the project and then attempt to set up delivery of the truck. I speak with several agents, and hung up on several times, frustrating beyond belief. One agent in particular named Cynthia told me they would charge me double for the trailer and that I would have to drop the truck off 30 minutes from my location. She was probably one of the worst customer service agents I've ever spoken with, kept talking over me and was horrible. I mentioned to them that I don't have my vehicle on the truck any longer so I need to go to a location close to where I will be so I can have my friends pick me up or I can Uber. She kept arguing with me. I then get a text message that I can drop off the vehicle at the 620 location in Lakeway. I put gas in the vehicle before I returned it and the drop off was fine, I Uber back to my friend's house. I then was charged additionally for the trailer and for the whole original amount as well. I've been getting email saying that I did not return the vehicle with gas and was going to be charged additionally. Are you kidding me! I am beyond frustrated and annoyed and have had no resolution at all to the situation. This could have potentially been a fatal accident! That car had come off of the dolly on the interstate there could have been multiple incidences of fatalities! I was given absolutely no customer service and here I am a single mom business owner trying to get a job done with your kid and dogs and toe and was treated so incredibly poorly. I was disgusted with this entire company and every single person who I spoke with had absolutely no Spirit of service and should not be IN customer service! I'm going to be escalating this issue to the very top tiers of Uhaul and hope that the people responsible are held accountable.

That place is a convenience store, the person behind the counter is busy attending an all day line of people sending money to Mexico and central America (I have to wait and I was listening the conversations) I guess that represent more revenue than uhaul. The vehicle I supposed to rent had a flat tire and the attendant asked me to air it up(really?), I requested a different vehicle and I was given a dirty, smelly 10' box truck. I haven't get a receipt that reflects the actual mileage, initially the clerk typed 50 miles And at the end only ran 30, still I was charged 50 miles. Then I called the 1 800 number and the lady answering the phone asked me to come back to the store I explained the convenience store situation, besides me running late for an appointment then she just told there was nothing she could do to help (wow! Way to go customer service !!)

The cab was full of old cops, smoking pariphinalia, and loose baggies. The 6 moving blankets that were supposed to be available if needed were missing. The fuel tank was almost empty.

The business is a shithole. The only reason I rent there is it is the only close location to me. The U-Haul app is terrible. Every time I try to rent it requests "Additional Information" like a Passport? Who the fuck carries their passport around day to day. When trying to use Additional Contact it won't allow mine because I put my wife's info in the reservation as the Additional Contact. Stupid f'n process.

When I arrived, I was told the vehicle I had reserved had not been returned. I was not offered anything other than to rent another more expensive truck. The cashier showed no concern whatsoever, even laughing at the situation. I rented this truck to pick something up from a client and drive it to another city. I will never use uhaul again for anything that matters.

I asked to drop off near my house they sent me to the other side of the town I called nobody help me and when I got there it was closed so a lost of gas and time. I had to call by phone again they sent me back near my house the drop off supposed to be 25 min for me it took me two hours.

This vehicle issues 1. Head lights needs to be adjusted see the road further, head lamps not giving light on the Road. 2. Key is not inserting fully and starting the vehicle is very complicated

The truck was not clean. Left over drinks, paper, garbage. Pull down door of truck didn't work. Told UHaul rep. He said it is fine. Hurt my back trying to get it down. Only took the truck because I had no other options. Was told my mileage charge was under $1.00, got charged $1.08. Was charged for more miles that I used. Was charged for furniture dolly. They didn't have one.

It serves the purpose as a convenient place to pick up and drop off a vehicle. As long as you go in knowing this is a not a UHaul center - it's a convenience store catering mainly to work crews. It looks like they do check cashing and money transfers also. The one guy working there had to work me in with his store customers, but he did so while being friendly and efficient. I was in and out quickly.

Passenger door would not latch completely closed. Truch had many miles and loose steering causing it to wonder going down the road. When I returned the truck the clerk just took the key and did not offer a receipt, said I would be getting an email which did not come until the next day.

The original location I had reserved a truck at was closed when I arrived to pick it up (the web site said they would be open) so I had to make a last minute rental at the Cavalier location. They had a truck available, it took about ten minutes to get it rented, it was clean, it took two minutes to turn it back in, and I was charged properly. No complaints here.

Took the worker 40 minutes to find keys, which were hanging right behind him. He initially said he didn't have a truck, despite our reservation. He ended up cancelling our reservation and them inputted a new one. I had to repeat names and phone numbers probably ten times.

I wanted a printed receipt because of the multiple overcharge reviews they have. The man said he could not give me one. I then asked him to sign and date my contract that the equipment had been returned as per the contract. He signed it was returned but refused to date it. Then he told me to leave and never return. I did leave and suggest no renters ever return. Renters beware of this location!

The service at the location was excellent. The truck was clean. However, parking was a little tight. But my overall experience with UHaul for this rental was abysmal, nothing to do with this particular was location. I didn't a truck at the original location I had made a reservation for. I was directed to a second location that never opened on Sunday despite notice on premises that it opened. Because of all this, UHaul delayed my schedule for 3-4 hours, and I had to cancel the moving help that I had scheduled. Really bad experience.

Iinterior floor was very dirty/muddy. Location was a convenience store, also very dirty. Beginning mileage was noted as 905 however; the odometer read 977.8. This was reported including a photo with my online checklist however; we were still billed for the incorrect beginning mileage amount, currently in dispute.

I turned in trailer less than 24 hours after picking it up and I was charged for 2 days. I was called 7 days later saying I was in violation of our contract because I still had the trailer when in fact I had turned it in 6 days earlier.

They couldn't find my reservation and the guy that was processing my "walk-in" had to call another person to be walked through the process. On the return, half their gas pumps didn't work, so went up and down 3 aisles before one did. I picked the location because it was convenient but this was not a professional U-Haul location...looks like they did more business as a convenient store.
