I thought I'd save money trying to pick up some larger house items myself but renting the uhaul ended up being just as expensive. Will just be paying delivery fees from now on instead unless uhaul can figure out how to lower their rates. Advertising $20 in town and then spending $70 to have it for 3 hours was a bit of a shockjustin Z.

Made a reservation one week in advance for a truck at another nearby , two days before pick up I was switched to this location and was told the other location didn't have the size truck I need. Got to the pick up and told the guy I need the truck for the day , he told me if I can't be back by 330pm I can't have the truck because it has another reservation and if I didn't bring it back at that time I would be charged for two days, That did not sit well with me. I had to make other arrangements and returned the truck in 4hrs for a cost. Worst experience at uhaul ever !!Ricardo B.

I was told I'd have the box truck for 24 hours and they pulled a bait and switch on me and said I could only have it for 12 hours - till midnight at the same price. And Monte, the rep, was condescending and patronizing to me when I'd ask any questions. He rolled his eyes, paused, and acted like answering a question for a customer was too much effort. He also seemed sexist because he didn't treat my son that way at all. I was treated like a dumb female. I don't have to justify myself to some sleazy uhaul representative, but I make six figures per year and was treated like a stupid woman. The misogyny was very obvious. Two guys were sitting outside when I arrived and didn't even get up from their breaks to help me when I arrived. The entire experience was horrible and I'll never use that location again. I let Monte know it was my first time renting a truck but every question I had was met with eye rolls and pauses like I was stupid. He even said, "Againnnn, it will be due at midnight." The guy has a terrible attitude and reminded me of some sleazy character you'd encounter at a casino or strip club. His name alone was shady and is associated with con men.Joni S.

The guy who worked there made me bring his Uhaul back. I originally wanted to drop it off at Chester (where I moved), then he told me if I bring it back he won't charge me for it, because I didn't have any reason to bring it back to him. My total charges were suppose to be $88. He ended up charging me $135. For extra 40 miles that I put on it driving it back. I didn't need to drive it back. He asked me to do that saying he will take it off and will make a better deal. He is a fraud and I'm going to complain to the Censes Bureau of it doesn't get resolvedEvgenia K.

The rep present at the pick-up location was very helpful and patient during the process, as I didn't have the proper equipment (trailer ball pin) to start with. He made the right suggestions and guided me to have the trailer properly hooked up. It made for a very pleasant pick-up and drop-off experience. During the Covid Pandemic, the interior and driver equipment such as steering wheel, seats, door handles, and the entire interior should be wiped with disinfectants. The steering wheel, radio and the interior was very unclean and sticky substance was on the radio, AC knobs, and Steering wheel.San M.
Towing equipment was rusty. The most annoying aspect was the attitude and the rudeness of the gentleman that rented the equipment. He didn't want to give explanations for the charges, didn't want to check gas level when I returned the truck. Very very poor customer service. I was not provided with either dolly. I then spent an hour on customer service and had to go to another location. Moreover, the individual running the shop claimed he called me but my call logs have no evidence of that. Furthermore, when speaking with the individual running the shop I was made to feel uncomfortable nor were any COVID 19 precautions followed (i.e. no mask, requested i had the keys back to him, no hand sanitzer).David R.
Be upfront with charges and be willing to print a receipt upon return of the truck when that occurs during business hours. The owner of the place would not print a receipt for me, insisting I would have to wait to receive it by email. I got the receipt the next day.david S.

You can take that $19.95 plus mileage sign off your trucks. I spent $110 just to move some furniture around town which is ridiculous. You should have one set rate for in town use. Mileage should come in to play when you are traveling out of your city limitedrenee W.

I was overcharged and the guy at the store forgot to take of the charge for the dolly even though we didn't use it. I was charged an initial price which I have a receipt for. Then I was charged an additional amount which was not explained until I called the store and spoke to the guy at the store. He explained to me that it was for exceeding the 30 miles I estimated I would use, but the mileage we used was only 24.9. Therfore I used less than I thought we would and was still overcharged! Can someone please explain why this is? So far this experience has been less than enjoyable.Casey R.
