I did not have the blankets and dolly that I ordered. My pickup was moved to this location (not my choice) and I picked up the truck before the facility opened. I was stuck with this inconvenience and the site owner was discourteous on this when I returned the truck.

I had the absolute worst experience with a company of my life. Moving is already stressful enough. I cannot believe how a member of the uhaul family treated me. I will absolutely be sharing my experience with people. This is completely unacceptable. I made a reservation several days in advance. When I went to pick up my truck, the person working informed me that the keys were lost and he was unable to release the truck to me. An hour and a half after my reservation, he got me to another location and assured me that I would have a truck and that I would receive a discount due to the inconvenience. I was quoted at 29 cents a mile and $29.99 for the truck. I was good with that and appreciative of how accommodating that man was. He was working alone on a very busy day and I thought he was doing a great job. When I got to the other location, the man working there was nothing shy of HORRIBLE. He ignored us for the first 7 minutes we were there, despite us coming and asking if he was working the shop. He couldn’t be taken away from his phone. When he finally came into the store where we were patiently waiting, he was very rude and barely made eye contact. He had monster trucks on one of his many televisions and he found that much more captivating than the business we were desperately trying to make. When we informed him of the mishap at the other store and that it was in the notes that we were to be given a discount, he refused and said there was absolutely no way he would honor that. We told him that we we needed our truck and that we were already behind schedule and he said it was never our truck to begin with and he exited the store. I tried to call the original store to get it sorted out, but I just remained on hold due to the understaffing of the location. When the rude man returned, 10 minutes later, we had no choice but to follow his wishes. We were incredibly behind schedule at this point and had foolishly relied on a company that we thought was dependable. We paid what he was demanding and left to try to fit everything in to the greatly shortened window. When we went to return the truck, the lights were all off and I was worried that the store was closed. I tried the door just to be safe, and it was open. I then saw that the man was asleep on a recliner!!!!!! I had to wake him in order to complete my rental transaction! Hopefully this experience is concerning to somebody at this company and measures are are taken to rectify this situation.

Customer service was horrible. Greeted with “oh no another drop off” .. “we can’t take your truck” 4 employees and not one had another solution but to make me take my truck to another location and how it is “traffics fault”. This was very inconvenient due to we were on a schedule and had a meeting to attend.

Drop off location was closed. I waited and no one came, I then called U-Hauls customer help line and ended up waiting on the phone for over 25 minutes. I then heard about an app and tried that, but it also does not work. So I decided to return it at a different location and they too were HORRIBLE!! Customer service was very very bad. Long line of people waiting and only one person behind the counter working.

It would help in the chaos of moving for U-haul to go over itemized costs both before and after the transaction. This helps the customer with budgeting. High marks to Mr. Cox for being flexible in releasing the truck early to get ahead of major outbound traffic. The truck operated well save for the fact that the automatic first gear ended at 30mph. To get 7 mph per mile is a very inefficient engine for a 26ft truck.

Change the phrasing about where the lock box is for the 24/7 pickup. The phrasing "black lock box next to the front door" makes me think it's next to the front door of the truck, not the facility. It isn't a massive deal but it would save your future customers a few minutes of confusion.
