The brakes of the van was not proper and I have already mentioned in it. The system should say what average does the u haul give in order that the customer can refuel as per that. The convenience store lady said it should be above the level and we filled it twice and then only the cargo van fuel indicator moved a bit. The van had a big brown liquid splash on the driver side door. The back had what looked like a mix of grass and cat hair. The smell was not pleasant. When I returned the vehicle the lady wanted to charge me $50 for NEW & unused, folded flat cardboard boxes that I forgot was in there. Overall terrible experience.Yolan F.

First I book at Markham and eglinton location. And when I go there to pick up they didn't have the vehicle even after I told them that i was in my way to pick up the truck. Then they transferred to pick up another truck in different location that 850 Markham road. They need to learn more how to communicate with customers. I wouldn't recommend both places.siraakumar R.

The lady was very courteous and gave me the truck in a few minutes. I have been to another location like the one at Markham Lawrence who tried to charge me $10 if I needed their help to pick up the truck. The return process was also very simple and I would definitely consider booking another truck from this location in future.Chirag K.

This is a busy retail convenience store. She is by herself trying to please everyone that walks in. Took way to long to get the paperwork underway. If I was not in a rush and didn't mind hanging out for twenty five minuets. Ok.ralph R.

I was a bit worried on this location because of previous reviews. However, everything turned out smoothly. Dealing with the store was very easy with just a bit of language barrier. What I like is the owner inspected the truck as soon as I returned it and she told me what the charge will be which was exactly what I expected. In the other location, you just have to return the key and it will take about 2 hours before you know how much would it be. If it's not what you expected, you have to call U-haul main line and contest the amount. One thing I would like to note is there was no other customers when I picked up and returned the truck.Jay V.

Make phone pickup easier. Website crashes when it cannot get location right away. Privacy settings on browsers also make it difficult to find location settings right away sometimes. Make this easier on your end.AIDAN B.

The location, which is in a plaza, is extremely busy at Painted Post and Markham Road. Tons of cars and people in the parking lot, difficult to get the U-Haul out of the parking spot as it was parked beside a large box U-haul and difficult to see when backing out. The lady behind the counter at the convenience store which is the location of the U-Haul did not speak very good English. Very difficult to understand what she was saying and not very helpful. I arrived on time at 6 p.m. and she made me wait approximately 15-20 minutes in the store because she was dealing with other customers who were getting passports done which is a long process. As well, she would help other customers who came in the store for quick items to purchase while I continued to wait. Most store employee assistance was needed. Definitely will find another location in future. Not happy.Christine S.
Very poor behaviour shown by the store people, they told me that the gas tank was half full when in fact it was less than that, I just drove the vehicle out of the parking and noticed this and shown them immediately, they acted as if I drove for an Hour and reduced the gas level, they said it shouldn't be less than half tank and started showing me old pic of gas meter, I said I don't care about that old pic, I am showing you in live about the level, they argued with me and tried to explain me that it is something to do with the ground level where the vehicle was parked initially and can you believe it they asked me to park the vehicle at the same place again and check the gas level, and it was still less than half tank PATHETIC BEHAVIOUR, NEVER EVER RENT FROM THEM, IT IS JUST A WASTE OF TIME.Himayath M.

The uhaul was fully covered with snow and when i asked about iy at store she simply denied that i wont clean if you want to cancel the reservation you can but she was not ready to clean it i got late bcoz of the and my apartment owner did not gave me access to lift as i was late i have to wait for 3 hours to unload the stuff i would never recommend this placeNEELKUMAR P.

A variety store/uhaul experience, I had to upload my license on my phone and felt like I'm doing my own check out service which took time(never had to do this at any other uhaul) and it cost me $85 for less than fours, plus the $20 gas refill! Won't be going back to that locationANDREWA M.

We initially waited at the first location for over an hour and no one was there to give us the keys. Then we went to different location and they didnt have the appliance dolly that we ordered so i had to rent one from uhaul, wasted over 3hours for no reason and was backed up on our schedule. Even tho we didnt get our truck when we reserved it at the first location, the customer service rep did not offer any â€œ$50 credit if we dont have ur truckâ€ horrible experience from uhaul overall. My experience was very poor. I had booked a van for a location on Queen Street in Toronto and less than one hour before the pickup time I received a message that moved my pickup location to Scarborough. I had no way to get to the new location and so had to borrow a car from a friend. When I arrived at the new location the van was not there. I was forced to upgrade to a larger truck, which I did not need, and the attendant was unable or unwilling to honor the van price. So as a result I wasted an entire day and paid much more than I had anticipated for this service. The support was also very disconnected and attendants did not seem to have any power or knowledge to support. I will not be using U-Haul services again. Steve BroadbentStephen B.

Bad communication. I am told by the telephone new reservation for replacement of equipment as I had an accident, i went to the rented shop there was no vehicle ready and they said the vehicle was cannot rented.
