My experience was very poor. I had booked a van for a location on Queen Street in Toronto and less than one hour before the pickup time I received a message that moved my pickup location to Scarborough. I had no way to get to the new location and so had to borrow a car from a friend. When I arrived at the new location the van was not there. I was forced to upgrade to a larger truck, which I did not need, and the attendant was unable or unwilling to honor the van price. So as a result I wasted an entire day and paid much more than I had anticipated for this service. The support was also very disconnected and attendants did not seem to have any power or knowledge to support. I will not be using U-Haul services again. Steve BroadbentStephen B.
The overall process little longer, I think I spent 30 minutes to rent and 30 minutes to return but overall experience with the location is satisfactoryaynkharan K.

Bad communication. I am told by the telephone new reservation for replacement of equipment as I had an accident, i went to the rented shop there was no vehicle ready and they said the vehicle was cannot rented. It was a terrible day as an accident and I was moved one place to other and feels terrible that rented uhaul.Pramesh H.

Extremely dirty van, broken driver side wiper blade, no window washing liquid. The van was covered with 10 cm of snow . The cashier told me it is not her job and I have to clean it my self. Also the emergency brake was broken and hanging under the steering wheel. Scratches on the side of the van were not marked. Very rude store assistant.Nikolay M.

My complaints have nothing really to do with the location, and everything to do with the overall Uhaul experience. We booked a truck for a downtown Toronto location, and in the days before our move once everything else was booked (elevators, friends, kijiji drop offs) received email after email telling us that our time had been moved to the middle of the night and location had shifted. I kept having to check my email, see that my booking had been changed on me, and then call customer service to switch it back. Each time I was moved to a further and further away Uhaul location, even though each time I was assured that the truck would be there and everything was guaranteed. The customer service reps were very helpful and understanding, in the end we received 60 dollars compensation (the $50 guarantee, plus a $10 waiver), but this allowed us to maybe break even on the extra km we had to drive to go all the way out to Scarborough to pick up the truck, and did not compensate us for the extra time and stress of having to be vigilant on my emails to ensure we hadn't been moved yet again. I understand that people don't return the trucks on time or there are mechanical issues, but the company should do more to redistribute their vehicles. I would absolutely never book with Uhaul again, they make it seem like everything's fine until a few days before and then all of a sudden everywhere else is booked and you are left driving an extra forty five minutes each way for a truck. I was also annoyed to discover this location had a 20 dollar after hours return charge, there was no mention of this when I made the booking initially and we had to rush to get the truck back. Again, that has nothing to do with the location, but reflects poorly on the Uhaul booking process that this information is not made clear.Meghan L.
There is a message on Dash Board that , Right FRT tire low Add Air to tire.I brought notice to the Uhaul franchiese owner. But, the lady at the Convenience store don't understand the technical glithch of Low air. She said it is Ok and did not done it. Any how how I have to take Cargo van and drove with low air in tire. I have picture in my phone of Low air message, which is proof. The lady was giving more attention/priority to customers who coiming to buy Cigarettee and lotto, etc.Mukesh P.

This was not my original pick up location. I was asked to go pick up the Uhaul truck at this location when I arrived at 20 Nugget Avenue location. He informed me of the switch then when I arrived and when asked why he didn't inform me over the phone, he refused to give any explanation and didn't look interested and just handed me a printed copy of the location I had to go to pick up the truck. This inconvenience prolonged my time I had set for my move and limited my booked elevator time. This will be the only time I use Uhaul, as my first time experience has not been a great one and will not be recommending it to anyone.ted J.

Please take the u haul agency from cedarbrae convenience. Lady was so rude and she was so annoying. She charged me 15.55$ for gas even when i already put the gas in van for 10$ for only 15 miles. I am so surprised that one van can take 25$ gas for only 15 miles. And she was rude that i will never go for u haul again if there is no action gonna take against that lady. I checked reviews after and everyone is complaining about her. Still u haul didn't took any action. Humble request to take the agency from that lady.Himamshu G.

The service was pathetic.When I took truck then fuel tank was 3/4.& when I was filling fuel the fuel niddle wasn't working.So I was continuing filling & later suddenly the fuel niddle reached to Full tank.I talked the guy from where I rented truck regarding to give me credit for extra fuel because it was your device problem,not mine. But he was unprofessional guy.He misbehavior with mein when I asked to give me my receipt of billing amount.Then he said I can't give you anything.Really I will not recommended any body to rent Uhaul.I waste my money.It was your problem & No credit for fuel too.Gautamkumar P.

since U haul involves paperwork, customers should be prepared to wait. There is a signage posted on the wall too. The person at the counter is good at multi-tasking and has a great commercial sense. Conveniently located and has a range of vehicles to offer. I will go back whenever needed.Muralidhar K.

The lady in the store was very rude. When I approached the store for renting the truck, she keep me wait 20 minutes saying U Haul customers are treated only after their store customers. She refused to say details about the contract. After returning she was again shouted as to check our mail for payment details. Totally she was mad to CustomerS...when I said about her behaviour...she replied me to do want ever I want . She don't care ....I hate this uhaul really.I never going to use uhaul from any stores anymore.I am ready to pay 100$ Or more to professional movers to move my stuffs to avoid such irritating and intolerable experience.riju R.

I rented a 15' truck cab. The truck cab was not cleaned. The truck storage area was soo dirty that I had to clean it before I could place anything in it. This was extremely time consuming given I had to get a broom to sweep it out. I informed the lady when I returned the truck and she did not respond. I asked again why the truck was not clean and again she did not respond. I took the insurance as usual yet the lady took at least 5 minutes walking around the truck to see if any damage, etc. My experience with this Uhaul was not positive this time at this location. I had rented here previously and had no problem.David B.
I had a 26ft truck to park in a very busy mall strip. No adequate parking. It was a though to find.Farid Y.
The counter person was good but the parking location is very congested and extremely dirty. It was also hard to identify where the trailer should be parked because it was around a corner in a lane way.Bruce R.
We had to wait an extra 20 minutes prior to the start of our rental, because this location is also a convenience store and apparently they take passport photos too. We had to wait behind a couple getting their photos, and had the processing of our rental interrupted by someone who wanted to buy lottery tickets. The van was dirty, in that it had bits of hay and dirt in the back compartment, and smelled like farm animals had been inside. The front cab had some garbage, which I removed prior to starting the rental, and showed the renter that it was in the van, even though she states she checked it prior. There were numerous stickers indicating damage to the van, which I assume means rather than fix them, they just keep adding them up and taking the damage claims. The van ran, and we used it for what we needed, but as a first time U-Haul customer, that was a poor experience and makes me not want to use UHaul or recommend it to anyone.William M.

1- the van should be clean. It has some stuff like empty packing box and some paper waste. I cleaned and then use it.. 2- the pricing was very high this time . It supposed to charge me between 50-55 .. instead of that , the total came to $68 .. +gas $15 3- i wish the price is transparent from begging...shashikant P.
When I dropped off the vehicle, there were no other customers in the store. The employee went out to check on the truck and other customers came in. They were served before I was. I understand that it is a Variety store, but I should not have to wait as long as I did.Dean W.
