Did not like the quarter fuel tank requirement. The fuel gauge was slightly under a quarter full at the time of pickup. I returned after putting $25. of fuel in tank. I drove the truck and put 27 miles on the odometer. Since I am unfamiliar with mpg and size of tank, the next U-Haul customer benefited from my generosity.Lillette Q.
It was very difficult to do contactless pick up. When taking a pic of the drivers license it kept denying us. It mafe me enter 3 different people and they called my parents to verify us renting and still dont authorize it. I called and was on hold for 25 minutes before speaking with someone. She was super helpful. For some reason your system scanned the license as expired (it was not) and i was forced to be the driver even though i was not comfortable driving the truck. So i wasnt able to actually get the truck till almost an hour after my original pick up time.AVELINA YVONNE H.

I submitted pictures of the uhaul dropped off showing it in the front of the building and realized after I submitted my return that it was supposed to be in the rear entrance of the building so then moved it over. Shop opened 30 minutes late. Was supposed to get truck at 8am. No one showed up until 8:30. Young man had terrible attitude and very rude. Made me come inside to counter when this was all supposed to be contactless. Very poor location to rent from.Chris G.

When we got on the road we found out that there was a leak in the fuel line. When we tried to reach someone it took several calls to different places including on line for roadside assistance. In two instances we were cut off after 17 minutes. We finally found a store where we could change trucks and had to transfer everything. We ended up getting on the road three hours after we were supposed to. The main problem was with the roadside service we paid for. Please make it easier to actually get through to someone.Sergio P.

First I went to the Tulare location It was dirty and unorganized The lady said she did not have a truck and walked away Did not even ask when I wanted it I never got a commitment that I would have a truck until the day I picked it up and that was from another location I would be ashamed to have a place like Tulare represent my business The place I got my truck from in Visalia was good to work with Just to cut this short I will not use UHaul againTony C.

I was very happy with the young man that helped us out. However, I was not happy with the reservation process. When I called the Tulare store near Laspina and Tulare ave the lady who answered the phone said I had to reserve online. So I did order a 20 ft to be picked up on 8/1 at 8am. Then the day before pick up I got a call and a lady told me there were no more 20 ft but could get me 2 10ft trucks but had to be picked up in Visalia. When I got there at 8am to pick up they didn't have me down for 2 but only 1 10ft one. Luckily the nice young man found another for me so it worked out. Next time...please let me talk to a live person to reserve so a computer doesn't mess up these important times. Thank you, DougDouglas H.

The young man at this location was very slow at everything, he had no knowledge of the trailer, and did not know how to connect trailer lighting and the trailer itself. On return of equipment he again was very slow and did not know how to secure the trailer doors. First and last time I go to that place.CARLOS G.
The young guy at the counter is super friendly; he is awesome and very helpful. Loved talking to him! The equipment itself was damaged, though. There are only two ways to look behind you while driving (the side mirrors). However, the driver side mirror was shattered and almost impossible to see out of. Shards of glass were falling off while driving, and were flying at the car. It's not legal to drive like that, and I am surprised I didn't get pulled over. Other than that, I wish the interior were a little cleaner/vacuumed. The gentleman at the service counter is the only reason I would come back. He is great.CARSON C.

It was very nice having a newer truck for my drive. The customer service was great and I got out and on the road quickly. I am a person who likes having a clean windsheild and you could tell they had not been washed in a long time because there was buildup on the inside and outside of the windows and the cab was very dusty.Natasha B.
My experience was great, the Staff and shop of CVCR was very helpful. They made sure everything worked on the rental. Luis fixed a tail light on the Truck that was not working and I was on the road in no time. Awesome and professional customer service. Would recommend this location to anyone.Arno W.
The employees there definitely gave uhaul a bad reputation. First of all they gave me a difficult time when I was there. 5/30/20 is when I was scheduled to pick up the truck. The contract stated pick up time was 2:20 pm and the 2 employees told me that they were closing at 12 noon so I got there around 11:20am only to find out that they needed cash because of uhauls computer problem. They said if I couldn't get to the bank by 12 that I would be out of luck getting the truck. Then the young boy that was working there told me that if I gave him $10 he would wait. Needless to say, I didn't give him a dime and I made the other guy Luis Esquival wait. Then after all that unnecessary behavior, I filled up the truck and it had a completely flat tire on the outer back tire. I had to call roadside assistance to have the tire changed which put me behind about 4 hrs. I drove to Arizona and got there at 4:30am. Now after I explained all this to uhaul they graciously gave me another day and 50 extra miles. Central Valley collision and repair is no friend to uhaul. This story is true and I have it on video to prove it, The truck smelled like cigarette smoke and alcohol drink. Dirty inside and out. Again I say, those 2 employees are not doing their job and they are making a uhaul rental a regrettable experience.Randolph V.

Have employees be more efficient and having the uhauls ready for pickup. I requested a dolly and the employee left it behind the building in the road for me. When picking up the uhaul i showed the employee everything was still pending for official pickup on my end but the employee gave me the ok to take the truck still. an hour later they called me stating that the truck was considered stolen if I did not go back. again another issue on their fault because i showed them and they gave me the okay. This was self/online pickup. The drop box for the keys (pickup) is nowhere near the trucks either.,Yvonne R.

I reserved the 26 foot truck for 10am so I would have until 10am to return it. It was supposed to be for 3 days. The return time was set at 9am...that is 2 days and 23 hours! I returned it the day before it was due but the fact is it should be due at the time you pick it up, not an hour before!Thomas J.

My only complaint is I dropped my truck off after hours and there's no indication except for a little sign on one door that trucks are to be returned to the back of the building. The sign is not noticable until you're looking for the key drop box. Other than that, I had no issues.Kaitlyn K.

Even though our vehicle was returned in a prompt manner it was not checked in by this location. We continued to receive calls from UHaul asking when we were going to return the vehicle.Derek M.
Rep called me to inform me that I drove over 2,000 miles in less than 24 hours and still returned it to the original pick up location. Which is physically impossible. I tried to communicate this to him but he said â€œit don't matter sirâ€. I told him I need him to investigate this as I only drove approximately 12 miles total.
