Hello, I rented a 15' truck from Bend, OR on 9/24. I made the reservation via the internet. As I was making the reservation to drive the truck from Bend, OR, an offer popped up on the screen offering $75 off if I returned the truck to Chelan, WA, so I accepted the offer and was given the reduced price. This was acknowledged by the Bend U-haul when I picked up the truck. On 9/27 I returned the truck to the U-haul in Chelan, WA, at 8:00 A.M., which was closed because it was Sunday. I used the U-haul wifi which connected me to the U-haul return page. Everything seemed to be going fine, until it would not acknowledge that I was supposed turn the truck in to Chelan to take advantage of the reduced price that I was offered, and then it would not let me make any changes. As Omak is about 80 miles from Chelan I did not want to drive to Omak because I was already 29 miles over the allotted 490 miles and I would be late to Omak and would be charged for an extra day. As a result, the Chelan U-haul charged me for a wrong destination fee of $48 and a $20 after hours check in fee. They also made an error on the miles saying I was allotted 421 miles. My contract says the allotted miles are 490. The turn in miles of 14848 minus the starting miles of 14329 equals 29 miles over the allotted 490 miles. So I was charged $27.60 too much. 1-When I tried to use the online self return feature (the trailer was due back on a Sunday morning when the business was closed), the website would not let me attach a picture of where the trailer was until we used a different device. 2-the trailer yard is not visible from the office, and if I hadn't gone back to the front door and read the hand written signs, I would "owe a $25 fee". I recommend having a note added to the online return instructions if returning a trailer to this location. 3-I tried calling the phone number for directions on how to proceed when the website wasn't working, and the representative was not helpful. He said I would be responsible for the trailer until the business was open the following day. That doesn't seem right. There should be an alternate way to get that information to uhaul (text or email), it's not that hard.Gabriel B.

The gal I talked to on the phone (Samantha) answered the phone with just "Uhaul". Nothing more. When my daughter took the trailer in to drop it off she was not friendly at all and was very rude. I would not recommend either the drop off or pick up locations. Very disappointed.Lisa T.

I had a hard time contacting the franchise in Chelan, WA Not sure why; maybe the cell service is bad at that location. But the fact is, I was nervous about the drop off because I could not reach anyone at that location over several days (no way to leave a voice message or text or any way to contact at all). It is not a full service location. Rented a 6x12 random trailer. We did not have the strength to lift the tongue of the trailer . We were directed to the trailer by saying if is out there and pointing. If another younger stronger customer had not been there we would never been able to connect to our truck .David P.

Was not aware that when renting a vehicle by the day that the day meant it had to be returned by 5pm the day it was picked up. I assumed that there was 24 hours in a "day". I was able to keep it until 8 pm instead of 5pm. Brought it back at 8pm. The procedure for return after hours included using a mobile device to login to system for return. I don't have a smart phone, so I logged in using the link from my home computer. There was nothing on the screen to tell me how to do the return. Had to have my son do it with his smart phone. Maybe rental rates need to be in some sort of hourly increments - 4,8, 24 hours or something. Loading, driving 35 miles, unloading and driving back would have been a problem in the 7.5 hours I was originally given. Also an electronic drop box on the building that would time stamp the return when you get there would be a better idea for returns. The people at this location are great.David B.

I was guaranteed delivery by Friday, 8/9. I called on Saturday 8/10 and was told my boxes were still in transit and could not get any information on where they were or when the would arrive. I was then told I would receive a $50 credit per box per day for every day late they were and that I would be contacted as soon as they arrived. I was also given a number for scheduling, but nobody ever answered. I did not here anything until I received an email invoice on Tuesday, 8/13, with no indication that they were available and no credit. When I called the representative then told me they had arrived on 8/8 and that it would be more than $1000 to get them delivered to my house and there was not a trailer available to fit my needs. When I conveyed my concerns, She told me she put in an high priority request to have the regional manager call me. It is now Friday, 8/16 and I have not received a phone call.Ryan F.

UHaul has this location opening on Monday at noon. We waited and returned the truck around noon. Come to find out they open at 9 am. UHaul needs to adjust this locations hours.Douglas S.

There was a note on the door that although the location was normally open, they took the day off. There was no cell service so I was not able to check the truck in with the app, even after driving my personal car up the hill for service and running back down to the drop off location many times trying to get service and to get the app to work. I took a picture of the odometer and fuel level incase I could upload it at a different time, but that's not how the app works. I was charge an extra $40 even though I dropped it off 14 hours early. I sat on hold with customer service for 15 minutes when I was trying to drop off the uhaul and eventually hung up.Scott G.
