Our pick up location was changed the morning of pickup and we were not notified. They said we got an email, and I showed them that wasn't true. Then he said I got a text. I showed him that wasn't true either. This location was already 20 min north of our travel direction, and they sent us another 15 min north to a lockbox location. I had specifically chosen a location that would have an open desk as I wanted to deal with an actual human being at pick up. The lockbox was very difficult to open, and when I called the number posted they were incredibly unhelpful. Told me if I couldn't open it I'd have to rent another truck from a different location. horrible. Then the link to show pictures of the state of the truck at pick up expired before I was even able to get into the truck. No other alternative. Terrible experience overall.Tom K.

Customer serviceâ€¦ I made the arrangement to pick up at Choice Furniture. I arrived 15 minutes early but they did not open until 9:00 am. They checked me in at that location but than I had to go to another location, 4 miles north to pick up my rental! This delayed me approximately 25 minutes and charged the additional mileage to pick up and return at that location. I rented a dolly and appliance dolly, however; since they do not keep them in the truck, I would have to go back to the original location to pick it up! I did not do so because of how much I had already been delayed! I had (paid) movers waiting on me at my destination. (BTW: There were numerous trucks at the original location when I arrived).Kristine H.

It was difficult to use the online check-in. It took too long. I also rented a trailer. 40 minutes out the trailer tire exploded. There are pictures of it floating around Uhaul. Thankfully no one was hurt. It took 3 hours to get back on the road. Because we were so worried about another tire mishap my daughter had to follow behind the Uhaul constantly which made the trip more stressful and slower. It was very difficult to speak to a human at Uhaul. We had many "call you backs" in 1 or 2 hours. Not the best experience with Uhaul.Michele P.

No signage. There is no office so I believe it was remote pick up. Lucky a man showed up and did the transaction from his car to help us with getting the rental. He was nice enough. Not sure how it would have worked if he hadn't driven up.Sandy W.
U-Haul made me take the truck to this location. 25 miles away from my location when there was a location 2 miles away. Then made me pay for an extra 7 or 8 miles over. What a scam this is!Joseph M.

I rented my truck at a location on E Prima Vista in PSL. I was never mirroring the trunk was unavailable at this location. On the day of pickup I called you facility and was instructed to pick it up at another location causing me to be late for my laborer helpers I was paying. I was informed I was emailed and I exclaimed to the rep that I was in my new house with out internet service. Someone should of called me this is unexceptionalLenard H.
This is an unstaffed and remote location. Left multiple voice mails and eventually phoned another branch. That branch had staff who helped us sign out the trailer from this unstaffed site. Not a great arrangement.James N.

The location is not staffed. It is not clear what the procedure is to complete a rental. Trailer tire was really low on air and had a nail in it. Trailer had a lot of pincones and leaves in it.Alan G.
1st) it was only this location where I rented the trailer. I was told by rep, that I can pay now& pick up the trailer at 7:30pm at Port Saint Lucie location. And, to call him next morning to adjust time? So I did to then get a rep call me & tell me Mike no longer works there & he shouldn't have done that??? So, now I had to pay double rate . Which was not right. If that was the case I would have just come back at 7:pm to rent it. And, the other employee was rude & hung up on me!!!!!!! Never will send rent this location ever again!!!!!! But I will still use uhaul. ThanksVINCENT C.

Don't tell customers that they can pick up truck in person, when pick up is only virtual. I spent from 5:45 pm my pick up time to 8:30 pm mostly on hold trying to get a truck, I reserved on Wednesday for pickup on Saturday. After 4 calls to customer service and being transferred to 3 different departments, I was connected to someone in Arizona who tried to reach someone in Florida, where I live, came back to me after shortest wait time and actually rescheduled my pick up time to 9 a.m. on Saturday morning. On the 3rd phone call to customer service after 39 minutes waiting for someone to help me, I was told I could pick up a truck but only had 30 minutes to get there and it would have taken me about 45 minutes to get to New destination. I was told I would get 10 % off and 21 more free miles. The problem with that was the new pick up location was more than 21 miles from where I live. When I showed up on Sunday morning at 9:00 to get truck , again there was No one to help me until 9:15,when a gentleman showed up to check all the late dropped off trucks and trailers. This was 1st time talked to a person face to face. He told me that the site was only virtual, when I was told i could pick up truck and pay in person. This gentleman works in Stuart and he finally got me set up to get truck. I had to have truck back by 9 am this morning, which I did and again there was a woman cleaning the office. I told her I was returning a truck and she replied she was to busy to check my truck in, that she would get to it when she was done cleaning all the office's. This was a nightmare for ME and will never again use u-haul or recommend them. Good luck to anyone who uses them hope you don't go thru what I did.Darlene R.

I had a tow dolly for less than 4 hours and I got charged for 2 days. I called the location and had to argue for them to look at the cameras and they still won't review the camera footage proving I didn't have the tow dolly for two days. The worst experience I have had at U-Haul and I'll never use you guys againCole C.
Horrible to get to a place that is just an empty parking lot. Nobody to receive the rental, no instructions, not even an email or text to let me know ahead what I have to do. I had to call the 1800 number and after several recordings finally I was able to talk to a not a good humor human who just told me, drop and go. HORRIBLE experience.Jorge M.

I tried to call them twice with no answer. Left two voicemails.. Still even 24 hours laterâ€¦nothing. The truck was making screeching noises, accelerating when parked or foot on the brake at a red light. The AC doesn't work.. and when I called to try to get a replacement I was told by the 1800 number that even though the location is supposed to be open.. they're closed. I will never ever use them again. I had a huge move and had to return that truck, go to a location and waste money and time on getting another rental. People have limited time, and moving is exhausting. It would have been nice had the location reached back out. Customer service has gone out the window. Thank you to the representative on the phone who tried to help me. He was the only person who tried to fix the problem. They wanted to send a tech out to fix the truck but with limited time getting a new rental was easier and faster. Do not rent from this location.Alexia M.

Not only do they not disclose they are a "virtual" or remote location, they also don't have any other equipment besides trucks and trailers. I had rented two dollies with my trailer rental and after I puck up the trailer they inform me there are no dollies in site, they lady indicated she would give me a credit. I call in today because I see two charges on my CC for the same amount and no credit. When I call the location this rude woman answers and when I tell her the situation she basically called me a liar "how would she know if I had dollies or not?" She screams she cant help and I need to call 1800 U Haul....I will NEVER rent again from this location or their Jupiter location, STAY Clear of these rude and obnoxious people working at this location!!Joanna M.

My original drop off location was in Vero Beach. They said they were full. I called the 1800 number and was told to drop off in Fort Pierce. They told me they were full also. Then called the 1800 number again and explained the situation and then sent to all the way to Port Saint Lucie. I called them before going there and they did have space.Eduardo M.
