Made me drive an extra 20 miles to my drop off location. Not even the location in Mayer, MN that I requested. Rip off, $25+ in Milage fees. Why!?

Bradley VI didn’t sweep it out thoroughly so the guy had to call and berate me for leaving the truck so filthy after I had agreed to the cleaning fee. He could have dropped it but he wanted to fight I guess.

Jenna MLocation made us leave even though the lights were no working because he had an appointment. Had someone at Napa assist us. Had issues with the braking system on the trailer. Had it looked at in Green Valley, AZ who thought it was working fine. The trailer would jerk when letting off brake and accelerating. It would slam into the hitch when slowing and/or stopping. Called customer service as it continued. We were in New Mexico. Said it would be 30-90 minutes for someone to look at it. Asked what would happen if deemed unsafe. Would have to wait for another trailer. Asked if they were going to unload and reload into new trailer? Umm, no. So obviously no one could tell us why it was doing that and if it was safe or not. Hydrolic system should not do that. Very unhappy with your lack of technical support and service. Feel free to reach out.
Pamela SI signed up a month in advance for a truck at a location a couple miles from my residence. Three days later I was called to confirm that pickup location, which was 20 miles away. Why would it show a truck available when I signed up at my preferred location if it wasn't going to be there? And how did you know that far in advance that there wouldn't be a truck at my preferred location? And why was i charged for the additional milage when you chose the extra distance for me?

JEFFERY MLocation was not where we requested and confirmed to have reserved. Staff was friendly. Gas tank was almost empty but was told it was full. First thing we had to was fill it up and then had to drive extra because of the different location. This is our 4th time in renting a uhaul truck and the3rd time that this has happened.
Jodi PNot location-related, but the policy of leaving a dolly and mats in the vehicle is ridiculous. The amount of space taken up is dumb. Also, the app is bad. I had to go through the return process 6 times before it completed, and even then the app crashed and then just marked it as completed without my finishing

JEFFEREY MI suggest just look it over and make sure everything moves and operates like it should. I mean in the main pivot pin if it is left ungreased or not maintained it could snap and the customer will loose what they are hauling. I was taught return it or leave it better then you found it. So i took silicone spray and srayed all moving parts before i returned it and checked the yires to make sure i didn't hit anything that would put a hole in the tire. I did this because it helps the place that rents these out to know hey if this guy rents from me I know i will get it back in good shape. Also it helps the company in a whole to know some people do not abuse their stuff. I think that and this is me that when you return any thing that is rented to out it should be returned to an authorized mechanic shop to give it a once over and say hey look for instance a truck gets droped off to the mechanic and he pulls in it in and gives it a 32 point inspection and to make sure everything is in correct operation to be rented out. This can also be looked at as prevented maintenance this way you have records of what is done and can decide if it was abuse or just regular maintenance issue. This way it builds your name for the best rentals out there and also helps out other business.
joshua aU-Haul mistakenly charged my account for $212 twice. I called and charges were reversed but my checking account was comprised and I had to close my debit card. Also a U-Haul near my home had 15foot one way trucks available but I had to drive (in the rain) to another location in Glencoe, MN., 45 minutes away.
Deb GThere was leftover food in the cab from the last person. Also, there was significant damage on the cargo door of the truck that apparently this location did not document so when we dropped it off they tried to blame us for which was very upsetting. I called Christensen Auto to ask them about it and he didn’t remember the damage, the truck or us even though it was just two days prior.

Jenny WThe location I was assigned was 50 miles from my requested location. I was not notified of this until one day before. I called to change the location and the regional representative hung up on me. I have never before been hung up on by a customer service rep. The person I picked it up from was the rudest person I have ever interacted with. We were 10 minutes late. He called at 8:05 (5 minutes after open) and he called and said “where are you” and that he could have “slept in more.” I was stunned by the manner in which he would speak to a paying customer who had to drive 50 miles.
John MThe business was very dirty. Owner extremely rude! Completely talked down about the U Haul company itself. I will NEVER rent from uhaul again because of this man. He is Completely unprofessional, incompetent, rude and just overall unpleasant. I would rather go hours out of my way to rent from a different company than EVER have to deal with this man again! Complete jerk!

Edward TCenter console and cup holders were filthy. Previous customer did not clean up spills which left the entire console dirty and sticky. We tried to clean it up as best we could before returning truck. Otherwise we were very happy with our rental experience.
Tim FDennis (Agent that I spoke with at pick up and drop off) was very rude and brash. The dolly came with flat tires so I was unable to use and I don’t recall ever requesting pads. I couldn’t get them off when making the reservation they just kept coming back on. We never used them so literally they sat on the side. I paid $27 for two materials that were completely worthless. And the agent didn’t care he was very unfriendly and just had a blah oh well attitude. Will go back to Chaska and pay the extra mileage for the better service next time.

Michael SI was told the gas would start at 7/8 of tank, but it started at 1/4 of a tank. Because I had to stop for gas, I was late to the meeting with my new landlord. I also scheduled an 8am pickup two weeks in advance, and he changed it to 7:30am the day before the pickup, and cut a full hour off of the time I'd be allowed to rent the vehicle.
Joshua GThe truck was one of the worst I’ve ever driven. There would be no way for the pick up location to know. I found the owner at the pickup location to be excellent and he went over and above for me. With that said, I will most likely never rent from UHaul again. The truck was a pile of crap, and the trip took me two extra hours because you couldn’t drive more than 62-65 most of the time. The truck shook too bad. Also, I found the cleanliness of the truck to be horrible and it smelled bad. I have nothing but the utmost respect for the agent in Glencoe. But I’m thoroughly disappointed in UHaul. Spent 2000 dollars and definitely don’t think I got what I paid for.

Adrian PMy original location was Bloomington and then switched to Glenco. Doable but added extra time to the pick up that we did not plan. Appreciated the extra 60 miles added to cover the distance.
NEAL SThe location was great. However the fact I was told at 5:00 the night before my pick that I had to drive an hour, vs 5 minutes, to pick it up was disappointing to say the least. Terrible way to manage expectations.
