John COn my return date/time their offices were closed/unmanned even though it was clearly stated on the sign that they were to be open. Unfortunately, I suffer from arthritis and removing the trailer from the hitch by myself was painful and almost impossible. I ended up having to use the car jack to lift it off the ball receiver. I am very dissatisfied.
ROGER HExcellent Customer Service. Always very courteous, and fast check out with each customer! I will pay the extra miles to continue to come here for all of my truck rentals. A location in downtown Newport News, VA wanted to waste my time going over everything and even asked me if I was going to be hauling landscaping materials because his van was a new van and he would sit me down and talk to me when I came in to pick up the vehicle. I am 53 years old and know my responsibilities of renting vehicles. So I canceled and came to my Numbet 1 Uhaul Store. Returned the vehicle and place the key in the after hours box, thank you!

Adam TThis was an overall perfect experience. We needed to quickly rent a can for a piece of furniture we were buying from someone that didn’t end up fitting in our car. The U-Haul was only a mile away, we scheduled the can pick up in like 5 minutes, walked in, checked out, the Customer Service woman was so nice, friendly and helpful. We walked out in 2 minutes. The van was huge and did the trick it was a comfortable drive, the AC worked great, van was clean & smelled nice. Drop off was super simple. Excellent price for the van & super super simple process. Couldn’t have gone better or be happier. Thank you for this service!

Janet DI had a mobile reservation and got there before 6 o’clock and asked the guy that worked there for help and he refused to help me. As I stood outside, trying to figure out how to pick up my rental he came out the door and rode off on his bike. I tried to ask a question and he had an attitude and did not wanna help me. If I recommend this location, it would be for anyone to do mobile so they don’t have to deal with him. This is not my first time running here and every time I rent here he is always very nasty. I had some issues with my pick up, but the wonderful customer service people and scheduling people were able to assist me and turn my experience around. The reason I gave an average rating is because of the customer service members on the phone that helped me, but your agent at the location made things very unpleasant.

HIRAM TI rented a cargo van to move a couch, but when we went to load it, we discovered the back door handle was missing, preventing us from opening the second door. Thankfully, we managed to get the couch in, as that was the only item I needed to move. Otherwise, I would have had to drive 20 miles back to U-Haul to get a new truck and another 20 miles to pick up the couch.

RANDY LThe U-Haul light in the back of the truck was out which was not helpful( I moved in the afternoon/evening), I paid for a dolly that I did not receive, this location did not open until 10am however I had a 9:00am pick up therefore I had no one to speak to about these issues. The convenience of this location is why i booked, but looking back I would’ve went to another location.

BRIANA MPaid for 24 hours, didn’t get 24 hours. No offer of prorate or anything, was told potential prorate if returned early, radio silence. I’ve had good luck with uhaul customer service but this time it was poor. Equipment wasn’t well kept, the ratchets were in poor condition and unsafe. Thankfully didn’t leave me stranded.

None of the links embedded in my emailed receipts dated November 17, 2024, are accessible and I was grossly overcharge for a five (5) hour rental of a van with only 52 miles of travel distance!
