The web experience was awful. I entered my information, took a picture of the front and back of my license and then it asked me to provide more information before I could get my rental. Mind you, I'm standing in the store right in front of the guy who is renting to me. He could have very easily bypassed this process and just helped me but he told me I had to do it on my phone. Then they needed another contact to call in case I was late on my rental. Like that's really going to do anything. You already have my credit card on file anyway. Then the additional contact that I provided wasn't good enough so they wanted to call them to make sure. That's when I had enough and the person online said "okay if you don't want to proceed this way then you can hist do it in person. Goodbye" infuriating. So this whole time i could have just said this to the prison u was standing in front of who watched me do this? So stupid. Whatever, if it's what it is I guess. Next time I'll just try renting somewhere else.

The staff at Cigar and More outlet in New Castle DE was quick to accommodate me. I was able to get in and out of the store in 15 minutes. Very efficient.

As I made the reservation as 9am pick-up, it was described that the store was open 24/7 though, it was closed at 8:50am when I was there to pick up And U-haul pick up webpage said that I had to wait until 9:30am, the store owner came at 9:50am and said he open at 10am on Sunday. I lost 1 hour. As the result, I could not complete my job with the pick up truck because the working place was close at 3:00pm. And then I heard from the store owner that he would close at 5pm when I checked his closing time, his store was closed already when I arrived at 4:45pm. Since I locked the truck and put the key into the key-box, I could not complete the return process on the mobile app. And I reported to the call center that I return the truck at that time though, I was overcharged twice than the original price because U-haul regarded my return as next morning 9:09am. What the fuck, U-haul.

I didn't receive the pickup guarantee money back as my U-Haul was not available at the original pickup location. Upon picking up my U-Haul the gas was lower than what was said on my paper contract I took pictures of the gas so the employee could see where it was and also pictures when I returned it and I'm being charged for gas

The lady at the counter was rude and hostile. She couldn't find my reservation, argued with me over all the details ("you booked that for 9am!" No, I booked it AT 9am for 11am, which it is now", etc.) I finally couldn't deal with it and sent my husband in to pick up the van. She needed a picture of his ID but her machine wasn't working so she took out her PERSONAL PHONE and took a photo of it. That is such a breech in security and needs to be addressed. The van was unwashed and not even swept or wiped down inside. There it wasn't terrible, but it was very clear that nobody had looked in this car since it was dropped off. During Covid, that is an incredibly unsafe practice. I certainly wouldn't visit this location again and I don't recommend anyone else does either.

The equipment which I rented out was a very old 26 feet truck and a fuel guzzler too with very shaky brakes. Will appreciate if Uhaul can ground very old vehicles, as these vehicles can be risky to drivers. Overall the rental experience was positive.

I went online to reserve a truck a 17 foot truck on August 9th. On August 14th about 20 minutes to 9 when the truck was reserved for 9 someone from the corporate office called to inform me that the truck would not be there until 10:30. And then to make the situation even worse the only truck available for me for that day was a 15-foot truck and at a completely different location. Because of the time I had for that day I needed the truck as soon as possible. I had flown from Tennessee to Delaware to do what I had to do with the truck and the 14th was the only day I could do it.

Have more items to be available to multiple customers. I reserved an appliance dolly and was told there was only one available and someone else reserved it. Even though I made my reservation days ago and was the first client in the store.

I had requested a pick up site near my home and the message indicated that a representative would call to confirm my pick up information. I did not receive a call and and then got a message that my pick up location was over 1 hour away from my request. I had to call and they finally changed to a location approximately 30 minutes from home. I followed the directions for the tow capacity on my vehicle and drove the 30 minutes to pick up with a 2" ball rated for 6000 lbs. The owner tried several times and when he could not get the trailer to attach, he told me I had to have a smaller ball, despite the fact that the instructions said a 2" would work. I had to travel back home (30 minutes one way) to get a new ball on the tow hitch and then drive back to attach the trailer. It was an inconvenience and added a lot of extra driving to my already hectic day. The experience was rather frustrating since I had requested a site much closer to my home and not only was this site not appealing, it was further from my home and the pick up process was not a smooth one.

The uhaul location and services were excellent, however, the movers I got through Uhual moving help did not show up to move my stuff. I still had to pay for the truck rental even though I didn't use it. I'm hoping that Uhaul will look into this and refund the money i paid for a rental I could t use due to moving help standing me up.

This was a pretty bad experience. 1 - It was not clearly articulated prior to the rental that I would need to verify myself, etc. I've rented from uhaul before and you guys apparently did not store any of my information. Wasted alot of time in the morning with chat support getting the rental. A call to customer service yielded nothing but more wasted time while she asked me 4 times if I had "my GPS turned on" on my smartphone. Uh...what? 2 - The app frequently times out, despite me having 5 bars LTE. Seems like a server issue. While it was timed out I was able to send/receive emails and use Discord. Wasted more time having to keep retrying. 3 - The key location was "compartment 2" - what the hell is compartment 2? Eventually I figured out that means that you have to open the back to get the key to drive it. Pretty dumb. Why not say "back deck" or "truck back door"? 4 - The vehicle was severely damaged when I picked it up. I'd say over 100 scratches and dents. It literally had graffiti on it. What's more the pictures that uhaul had on file were so blurry you can't tell if there are scratches or not and did not show the graffiti - seems like borderline fraud. Anyway I made a movie of the whole vehicle which details all the little dents and scratches, but honestly if I added one more scratch on my trip I have no idea how anyone would even know because there were so many to start with. Oh and the inside had a broken board, but there was no place for me to document that. 5 - Pickup/dropoff location is literally an open field about 5 minutes from the uhaul rental place (a liquor store), which has obvious evidence of drug use and frequent vagrants transiting the property. During dropoff I was pan handled by one who "just got out of rehab" and "needed bus fare" - and guess what - he wasn't wearing a mask! Maybe I contracted Covid dropping off the uhaul. This is where I had to leave my car for the day. I was half expecting it to be stolen. On the bright side the truck drives ok albeit a bit rough, but there were no mechanical problems and I got my move done.

These people are completely rude and my entire experience with Uhaul was horrible. This is the first and will most certainly be my last time using Uhaul. I'd prefer any other company at this point.

the truck rental owners we're extremely rude. I needed the truck for an extended time and the lady was acting like it was impossible i returned the truck by midnight took truck to car wash cleaned and filled it with extra gas (being courteous for the next renter) and they still charged me a $25 cleaning fee once I complained about the charges the manager hung up the dist manager Rashawn called me back and asked the rental place for pictures they couldn't provide any proof. Rashawn refunded my money back. I suggest not to rent from this establishment and rent from someone who's honest no offense to Rashawn he handled my situation like a professional.

The service was awful, the owner was rude and dismissive-even after completing the online rental and check in prior to picking up the rental it took 48minutes for us to receive the keys and get checked out-the store manager couldn't figure it out on his end and then exclaimed to me that I need the uhaul app to complete the transaction and forced me to download the app in the store which we didn't even end up needing! It was a nightmare and set me and my movers back an hour. I have been a life long user of UHAUL and will never rent again unless at a legit uhaul center. UHAUL should stop doing rentals out of small shops on the side. It is terrible.

That Uhaul truck was old and did not have AUX capabilities. I hated the ride because I was subjected to radio chatter instead of tunes I'd like to listen to. Miserable!

The truck was in pretty bad shape. It stops strangely and felt unsafe. I did the 24/7mobile pickup option which I thought would be nice given COVID-19, but the store owner still had me come inside to get the keys even though he had a lockbox outside, which defeated the purpose of contactless pickup.

I had to extend my rental a couple of times at the very last second. I did not break any rules and returned the rental a week later cleaner than I took it. When returning the lady was extremely upset. Demanded to know where I had taken the van because i had extended the lease and used more miles than originally said. She was upset and demanding my whereabouts even though it was not her bussiness and it didn't affect the rental in any way.

The on line experience was horrible. Trying to drop the rental off was even worse. Your app sent me to a uhaul wouldnt accept it because the vehicle was too large! I've used uhaul for years but won't use your company or refer it every again ??????

I actually had problems at first due to the one place didn't have a 26 footer and the second place wasn't opened. But the lady on the phone was apologetic and helped me find a new location close to me that had a 26 footer. On top of that she gave me a 50 refund for my troubles. I am very thankful for the way she handled the situation. I first was pretty upset over this but God rebuked me and everything worked out very good.

I reserved this vehicle on Thursday for Friday and Saturday. When I got there Friday to pick up the vehicle my reservation had been canceled, so I had to reserve the truck all over again. The vehicle was not delivered to me, I had to go behind the buildings to this open muddy lot where some homeless guys where resting and eating on the back of the vehicle, I'm glad I didnt ask my wife picking up this vehicle she would have been terrified. Once I started to drive the truck, the truck had an acceleration issue, so I was only able to drive side roads, thus adding to my mileage. When I returned the vehicle and told the owner of the acceleration issue, he just shrugged his shoulders like "its nothing I can do about that". Stop renting your vehicles and get them serviced. I was not pleased with the vehicle, that's why I brought it back a day early, didn't want it to break down on me. And I am a diesel mechanic of 30 years, so I know that vehicle is not up to renting daily.

The transport was damage it was very hard hooking up the vehicle she could not give me a receipt and they were not helpful at all I'll never ever patronize or suggested anybody else utilize that facility it was the worst experience with U haul.

Completed express check in online and paid in advance after multiple electronic reminders. Took copies of reservation, drivers licenses and receipt for pick up expecting a speedy transaction. The agent insisted on re entering all the information. Said she couldnt see any information including payment. It was clear she wanted an "electronic" copies of drivers license. This was "optional" on line. I guess no copier available..even though she had a printer. Our express checkout was about 30 min and there were no other customers. Then directed us to wtong location for truck. Another 5-10 min
