They required a credit card only for the payment of Uhaul and then stated the charged a 4% fee on all cards. I had cash to pay for the Uhaul in order to avoid that and they wouldn't let me. Had an appt at 4pm and, when i arrived, there was no one in the office as they were all in the garage and saw me walk in. I waited for 10 minutes until i finally walked outside and into garage to inform them that i was there to pick up a Uhaul that i had a 4pm appt for. The worker then assigned me a Uhaul wherein i was texted the license plate # of the trailer. I drove over to the location they store the trailers where another worker met me and gave me a trailer w/ a different license plate # and stated "don't worry about it. you'll get the new number in about 10 minutes." I did receive a text w/ new license plate, however contract THAT I SIGNED had the other license plate # on it. Additionally, one of the tires was worn in a funny pattern, regardless, it was incredibly worn down and the worker said not to worry about that.

Saber ZThe tag on the trailer they gave me did not match the tag they emailed me. The locking latch where it was welded to the trailer door was broken. I was driving down the highway at 4:00 AM with a loaded trailer when a semi flashed me. He pulled next to me and told me my Bach door was open. I pulled off on the side of the highway to find the back door of the trailer wide open. Luckily, nothing had come out, but it was getting close. After realizing why it would not stay closed even with the padlock on it I was able to read it using an extension cord that I was able to get from the trailer. Some cord from my son had of my wife’s that I had to destroy, and the strap to my wife’s laptop case. It took me an hour to secure it, but I got to stay closed to be able to continue my 8 Hour Drive . Also, there was a light connection that was unplugged so that I had no lights on the trailer until I discovered this when I was fixing the back door. I know it was my responsibility to check those before I drove off with the trailer, but the equipment was not well maintained and should not have been in service.. There was no disastrous outcome from this trip, but it was not a pleasant experience to be on the side of the highway fixing a trailer at 4 AM while semi’s flew past me.

Matthew REverything was clean, and the truck worked just fine. Way more truck than I needed, 15' was the 'smallest" available, but was 4 to 5x too much. There was a 10' truck parked there and it has been all week and it's still there. The only visible issue with it was possibly that it was $10 cheaper, according to the sign painted on the truck. Even it would have been 2-3x too big. The 15' was about 1' too high to get through the storage lot to the unit, and I had to hand truck everything an extra 70 yards.
Paul MThe truck was dirty inside and outside. Had to sweep and mop the back of tge truck before putting my items inside. No washer fluid for the wipers. Location said they had the size of truck i wanted at time or reservation but did not at pick up. The truck was very loud.
Daniel NThis location is pretty easy going. On checking in a trailer last month I had to call corporate after 4 days of not being checked in. In this rental pickup they randomly assigned a trailer number instead of waiting for the tech to tell them which trailer I was picking up. So, I had to make a call to the front office and them to corporate to insure this was done correctly because my contract was for the wrong trailer. the people are very nice, I just wish they’d rake the time to do it correctly and timely the from the beginning.

KEVIN TMostly this location was fine my only complaint is that in the mix of things someone made a mistake and 8 was sent messages that I hadn't returned my rental equipment and was threatened that they were going to report it stolen. The equipment had been returned according to the agreement of the contract. So the emotional destress of that was not appropriate.
AMELIA DNo one was there when I dropped off. The site was muddy. This was in a city forty five minutes away from where I was originally told to drop off. I am very disappointed in my experience.
WILLIAM PI bought the additional coverage - I was very unhappy that U-Hual refused to tow me on the town dirt roads that lead to my driveway. With the rain I got stuck and U—Haul would not send a tow to me calling it a winch only service due to the dirt road. With out being offered the 7.00 winch service I was forced to pay 300.00 to get towed out. This should be reimbursed to me by the district manager. I have used U-Haul for years and am an injured Iraq vet. I should have been able to pay for the 7.00 coverage cost to get the help I needed- but due to company policy I was unable to get the help I need. I was told to be winched would be a 450.00 fee no matter what. At least I was taken care of by spending 300.00 that I would like to be payed back- for the tow. Please contact me back about this complaint. Thank you.

Marc BThe equipment and location were great, but I was frustrated that the day before I’m scheduled to move I got a confirmation saying that a bigger truck than I reserved would be ready in a town 45 minutes away. What is the point of a reservation if the perimeters are drastically changed at go time? It really threw off my whole plan and was quite frustrating, but there was nothing else available. Otherwise the online app experience went well.

Sandy KThe UHaul app needs much improvement. I picked up the truck after the retail location closed. It took just over one hour to enter, re-enter, and re-enter my information. When I set-up the app, I entered my credit card information. Nevertheless, I had to re-enter it at the pickup location. After entering my card information, I clicked “continue.” At that time the entered information cleared and I had to re-enter it. This happened 5 times. I could go on with the app’s flaws, but you get the idea.

Gary KI selected yes but I'm not sure if I would recommend this place or not. It is located on a one way street so bring your GPS if you want to know how to get back to your origination point. The lot was very crowded and it wasn't clear where I should park the truck as it looked like it would be in the way of cars, trucks and building access. I left the truck before opening hours, however, just as I was about to leave, a very friendly employee arrived early and said where I parked it was fine and he would move it later.
EDWARD HThis location did not have the furniture dollies that the website indicated they had, and some of their blankets were dirty. If your website had indicated that they had no dollies, I would have chosen another location.

daniel MOriginally reserved 6X12 trailer City Tire had available. Upon arrival to pick and hook trailer up, was notified they did not have the trailer I had reserved. Had to drive 45 minutes out of the way, back to Sylva to find a trailer of the same size. Very poor experience with City Tire.
Brittney MDropped truck off right after business hours. There was a uhaul key drop off box which I was able to drop the key and keep going. City Tire was prompt on emailing my receipt the following morning. Therefore I didn't have to go in and do anything as City Tire handled it well.
CHARLES RNo Blankets or Dolly available but not fault of rental site. Regional coordinator out for surgery and none picked up the resupply slack. Otherwise equipment was great and actually fun to drive (for a 15ft vehicle).
