The trucks check engine stayed on ,while starting to drive, the Transmission drugged and struggle to get going. Brakes required me to push all the way to floor. Didn’t feel safe driving this OLD VEHICLE. I have driven better from U-Haul.

This incredible rental experience actually started with the follow-up phone call I received after submitting my website inquiry, at which point, I actually made the reservation with a super-friendly representative who took the time to explain everything to me which put my mind at ease. U-Haul makes the rental process simple, transparent, and risk-free. The van that was rented to me was in great condition! It had been well taken care of and drove wonderfully! I ESPECIALLY APPRECIATED THE REARVIEW MIRROR BACKUP CAMERA -- ABSOLUTE GAMECHANGER!! The van was clean and had a full tank of gas! U-Haul helped me move to a new state without headache or hassle. I am a customer for life! Cheers!

WILLIAM FThose car dolly's need more lights on them. There are no marker lights to indicate where it's at, at night. Only lights are tail lights. Should have a light installed on top of fender. Other then that. I'm please location was open on Sunday as we experienced car issues and needed to finish getting it home.
Mitchell aFrom the moment I pulled it I was treated poorly. They wouldn't let me in the building to get out of the rain. The yard person was extremely rude and talked down to me in a negitive tone. When I told him that I didn't like the way he spoke to me he became more irate. I am not very happy with the new paperless way and I didn't recieve and copy of the receipts from all of the Uhaul I rented in December and January. We will need to rent more trucks this year and I may go elsewhere.

Samara BYour Rep at your Montgomery Alabama Location provided expert assistance with loading our car on the auto transport. I feel we could not have accomplished this task without his help. So, we are very grateful. At the drop off location in Baton Rouge Louisiana even though they were closed. They were reachable by phone and allowed us to drop off the auto transport because the space at the apartment we were moving into could not accommodate both the truck and auto transport. In addition, it meant we did not have to unhook and re-hook the auto transport in order to get our furniture off the truck. Both locations went above and beyond, and we are very grateful for their help. Your people we deal with represent what is great about your company. Keep investing in them. Its great not having to navigate the "autobot phone mafia" to talk with a real person :)

Top notch service in helping with getting it installed on my truck to include informing me of the correct parts I needed that I missed eventually. I can't rave enough about the young man who helped me with everything. I'm sorry I didn't get his name!
Ed LOwner does not give out requested equipment and does not reveal until the last minute. I was told that I would be charged for a full day. After picking up at 5. I was told another person has now requested the vehicle for 1:30 and I will be charged a day if I don’t return at that time. Which is not a full day and also I was not expecting to use this vehicle. I requested a van which I was told was now not available upon pick up. Obviously the return policy is not being explained to customer properly. As new renters are not receiving the vehicles that they request.

LEROY AI was told I would be refund 40.00 because I was using my cashapp card. When I completed my return there was a fuel charge for 22.00 when I put gas in there before I returned it. We should be told this before hand

I was on the side of the road waiting for assistance for 5 hours and didn’t make it to my new home until 5 that morning when i was suppose to make it at 4 that evening.. I spend half of my drive time on the side of the road in heat because the location didn’t have the truck ready for my journal overall i never had this experience with uhaul in i wasn’t a fan on how everything was handle and i was suppose to receive a call back from customer service never received it for my compensation…Since the truck did break down it also stop me from picking up a another trailer to take to Savanah from Columbia for 370 but wasn’t able to get it because the truck did break down..My overall experience with this company in my current move wasn’t the greatest.

Christopher AI feel like the truck I had should be decommissioned. The passenger door looked like someone tried to pry it open (already marked damaged) and even though it closed, the cabin was very noisy from wind. There was no usb ports (the last U-Haul I had, same size, had some, so I was expecting them). There was no cargo or cabin light controls- the spot for them was just empty. The hatch was very hard to close and latch, it took multiple times and a couple of people to basically slam it shut. And the check engine light was on. I was assured that the vehicle is mechanically fine and the light just wouldn’t reset, but it did make me anxious. The employees were very friendly and the truck was clean. The condition of the truck would not stop me from going to that location again, but if I got another truck like that I might change my mind!

Michael LIf I have a mobile check in the keys should be in the box. I set up this way because I was on a time crunch. It took so much longer being assisted with a person. I was behind getting my truck by over an hour which took away from me moving in a timely manner.

Brian CI did not like the fact that I had to do my entire transaction standing outside in the heat at this particular location. This was not the original location that I made my reservation. The original location did not have the van I needed even though I made my reservation on May 2nd. I was called the night before to inform me they would give me a 15 foot truck for the same price as the van. When I arrived to the location on Airline (my original reservation) they did not have a 15 foot truck either and sent me to this Cezanne location. I was uncomfortable that the entire transaction was done from his personal cell phone. I had planned to buy boxes but couldn’t because this location is literally outside. Unacceptable U-Haul!! The system should not allow multiple reservations for the same equipment on the same day and time. It’s 2024, update your system!!
