Only issue I had , was I reserved furniture dollies and they didn't have any. That's something that should have been made known when I chose the pickup location.

Also upon completion of rental, employees added additional charges such as collision waiver onto my total, a feature I intentionally did not select prior to rental.

Brett H.The van I drove needed an oil change. The vans should be well maintained and they have numerous but only seem to rotate one van for the day. So I was charged the amount for a day but could only have the van for 2 hours. However when I returned to drop off, there were still 5-6 vans parked up. I was told that these vans were already reserved and that they can only rotate the one. I understand creating accessibility for customers, however, change the rate. I don't feel like I should've been charged the day rate if I wasn't able to have the van for the day or as long as I truly needed it. I feel like that makes sense economically, mathematically and logistically. Don't people use uhauls for state-state moving? So is this just not the location for that? Then the gas tank was literally on E and I was told to take it to the gas station which added to miles driven. Shouldn't there have been gas in their before I came? He told me if I brought back the van with a q tank I'd get $35 off. I still ended up losing $3-5 as gas prices are high.

JAY S.This written comment is about U-Haul itself not Classic Detail they were great to work with but U-Haul was horrible. First they waited until the morning of picking up the truck to let me know the guaranteed location I was scheduled to pick up the truck at initially which was 10 minutes from my house did not have the truck because the last customer decided to drop off 2 hours away. They offered me a 15' when I needed a 26'. After being on the phone for over an hour they located a 26' in Philly because of all the delays I had to pay 3 people who were helping me move my stuff an extra $180 to stay while I had to go get the truck in Philly plus had to pay tolls to get there and contacted your customer service department to see if U haul would compensate me for some of the extra costs I occurred due to no fault of my own they said a regional manager would call me never happened emailed you but never heard back. Not sure why you have a customer service department by my estimation there is no service that comes out of it. Renter beware of the tricks U- Haul can play with you they will leave you in a mess with no solution unless you fight back.
John M.Who ever is in charge of that location that I met was not a good business man, he treated me poorly. After I returned from my trip with the truck, I drove in to the location and packed the truck, he refused to take the key from me stating that I should pack truck on the side of the street where I took it. I begged him to please do that as it is part of his job, he replied that he has other stuff to do and left me . I have to manoeuvre in the in coming traffic and packed where he wanted the to be packed on the side of the street. To me, the trucks are not not to be packed on the side the the street .

Carolyn C.U haul needs to overhaul their check in system to return their vehicles. I've been taking pics the whole night of the odometer and fuel gauge to record what i had use to no avail . I got frustrated and left the keys in the box as told . The truck smell musty and have a scent like someone who was homeless slept in it .

Darnell M.I was sent to 3 different locations the morning I needed the truck. The first location sent me to another location. At the next location I had to wait on the phone for a half hour to be sent to a third location which was completely out of the way and added unnecessary mileage to the trip. No one called me a day or two before like they said they would to confirm everything and when I called to confirm of course it ended up being the wrong location that I was given. At the third location I was able to get truck and the staff was nice and the truck was clean. But the unorganization with U-Haul was something I never experienced years ago when renting a truck until now.

Brandon S.$20.00 per day, bur charged me $30.00 instead. Also changed me for the ⛽ fuel in the maximum full refill, while it was not full the tank at a time I took out the truck 🚒. I even fill gasoline to the same level when got it out on the road. Why I have to pay for the gas ⛽ that I didn't use it. Also over charged me for the mileage too. It's not cheating, it's robbery.
Narom U.They have the worst customer service. When I showed up for my pickup the own and only U Haul employee was not there. There is a car detailing shop that shares the same lot and office. One of the car washers has to call the owner. The owner had me pay for the rental before he arrived. I than found out the key was not in the office. The owner had it on him. The owner showed up at 11:15 AM. My pick up time was 10:30 Am. Than when I dropped the van off I did not know I had to record the mileage. Once again the owner was no where to be found. The car washer who took the keys from me would not let me get back into the car to look at the mileage. I seriously question the professionalism of UHual as a company.

Also, the truck that I rented was not sanitized. Lastly, the representative was not there when I went to return the truck. Even though it was during their hours of operation. I didn't feel like waiting around so I drop the keys in the lockbox. I was charged an additional $20 for this which is absurd. I will never do business here again.

I will not only never recommend uhaul again but I will actively discourage others from using. Our pick up location was changed two days before our move and we had to drive 40 minutes away to pick up our truck in a bad location. When we got there they told us the truck wasn't ours and it took 40 minutes (in a bad location) for them to figure it out. We always use uhaul when we move but never again.

Kenneth C.I originally reserved a smaller truck at a location I could walk to from my apartment in philly, but the type of truck, and location changed without any notice to me whatsoever. The truck I picked up Was a 26ft truck (too big for anyone Without a CDL to drive on tiny Philadelphia streets) had a dead battery, and no gas in the tank. After an hour of waiting, the guys Figured out how to jump start it, and told me I had to go to the gas station next door right away. After I got gas, I drove to my apartment, where I was loading my furniture. A u-haul mechanic came out to me and replaced the battery on the spot, and ensured that there would be no further issues.

However when I arrived, the owner of Classic Detail told me he was picking up another truck and my van would not be available until 10:30. He did not leave the Uhaul key in the lock box like he was supposed to, and I ended up waiting an over an hour and a half to pick up my truck. Because I had already started the online check in process at 10:00 AM when I arrived, the Uhaul app timed out and I couldn't complete the fuel/odometer picture part, and I now have to dispute a fuel charges because Uhaul is saying that I did not fill the tank back to where it was supposed to be. This was unacceptable service.

We had to call to ask where to go and the representative told us to go to the car wash to pick up the trailer, even though the actual facility was up the road. They also did not have the proper wiring for the lights, so the employee made us follow him with the trailer in tow to get the additional equipment. We felt very uncomfortable and stressed during this process.
