The truck road and drove fine. It was clean and the controls were intuitive. The truck i rented should have had a diesel engine. It was very sluggish and the fuel mileage was quite poor (7.5 MPG). I own 3 diesel trucks and pull heavier loads than what this truck weights and I've never got 7.5 MPG on any of them. The other gripe i have is why you rent the truck with 3/4 of a tank. This is dumb. Now at the end of the trip, I have to try to calculate how much fuel to add to get it to 3/4. Of course, I went over and gave back more fuel than i used. If you'd rent it with a full tank, I could just fill it up and be done.

This place tried changing the original contract I signed and adding a charge of around $81 more and forged my signature. After contacting U-Haul they refunded the new charges. Then two weeks later tried to charge me for keeping a trailer for an extra day saying I returned it the day they tried changing the original contract. The trailer was returned on the day the original contract stated before noon. I also called U-Haul upon the return as the drop off location was not open on Mondays. They have cameras and could pull footage out to prove it had been returned before the contract agreement time. I can also provide names and phone records showing that I contacted U-Haul upon the return. Just one more fraudulent attempt to steal money by the rental pick up location. I wonder how many other times this has happened and gone unnoticed. After calling U-Haul about the late charges, my money was again refunded. I would not do business with this individual contractor/vendor. I do appreciate that U-Haul themselves corrected this issue.
