Truck had 1/4 tank of gas and no dolly despite me renting one. Also the reservation location was changed without notifying me. We showed up to the original location and was told where to go from there. Frustrating rental process.

FREDDIE CIt was very hard to find the return U-Haul area. There was no signs that it was a U-Haul return or pick up location
JESSICA TWe did not have a single thing go correctly with this reservation. Changed pickup location the day before, we got the wrong size of truck, took over an hour to be able to simply get the key and get on the road. When we called the customer service lady did not have any helpful information didn’t listen to any of our concerns, was rude and hung up on us while we were trying to get everything all taken care of. We will NEVER use U-Haul for moving services ever again, this was an absolutely awful experience, moving is stressful enough as is let alone all the issues and mishaps we had trying to get the U-Haul. We were told the day before that the person who made the reservation did not have to be there to access the truck, turns out that was the root of a lot of our issues. When we finally got the key and turned on the truck (after over an hour of being there) it had less than 1/8 of a tank of gas. We will strongly advise against going with U-Haul to all our friends and family, we couldn’t have had a worse experience and we were incredibly unsatisfied with this service. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND
CHAD EI received my truck with 38 miles until empty. I drove a total of 11.5 miles. I returned this truck with 51 miles until empty, and put gas in at the location of pick up (gas station). They proceeded to charge my card $75 for a gas fee and NINE gallons of gas. Now they are not answering their phone. I will be going in to speak with them today. They probably do this to everybody. I rent trucks almost weekly, and have only had this problem here.

DANIEL BThere was no code provided to access key in lockbox. Gas station attendant was no help directing be to the back of building. I called U-Haul who facilitated the pickup remotely.

Jeff DTerrible service and this was after i was told to go here instead of where i wanted to drop it off. Thankfully i called the 1800 number and they were able to help me since the app would not let me finish the drop here. The women from U haul on the 800 number was fantastic!

JEREMY GThe pick up process took over 3 hours due to website/app issues and multiple calls to customer service where I was transferred repeatedly and sat on hold for 15 minutes at a time. I was outside in the cold with nowhere to sit during the process as well. I reserved a 26 foot truck 2 weeks in advance but had to settle for a 15 foot due to availability which means I had to leave a lot of my belongings behind. The truck & cab were filthy and the appliance dolly i paid for wasn't in the truck. (Still haven't gotten the refund for that) 3 emails to customer service and I still haven't heard back. They sure hit me with extra fees after the drop off though. I'll never use uhaul again.
Katie SI RECEIVED THE TRUCK WITHOUT THE EQUIPMENT AGREED TO. NO DOLLY OR APPLIANCE DOLLY. THE TRUCK WAS AT 1/4 TANK OF FUEL. THE GIRL AT THE COUNTER HAD NO CLUE AS TO WHAT WAS HAPPENING. THE TRUCKS TRANSMISSION IS ON ITS LAST LEGS BARELY SHIFTING OUT OF 2ND GEAR WITH NO LOAD IN THE TRUCK. I BROUGHT THE TRUCK BACK AND FILLED IT ABOVE THE 1/4 TANK I WAS GIVEN. YET I WAS CHARGED $22 MORE AFTER FOR 4 MORE GALLONS OF FUEL? THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER AND I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND UHAUL TO ANYONE.
Thomas BThis was not the location U-Haul sent us to - via text we were told our location was 3909 11th St, Rockford IL 61109 when we got there we were told 'U-Haul haven't sent the paperwork to be a venue yet'. So had to drive further to the next dealer we could find.
