The Pick-up location in Williamsburg was exceptional. I got what I needed with very little notice. I unloaded the truck and dropped off the truck at the same location in New Jersey. I actually dropped off the truck 16 hours before I had to turn it in. I dropped it off on Thursday night, 9/6 at 8:00 Pm, 16 hours before I had to. I put the key in the Drop-Box at that time. Then I get 2 text messages and 1 voice mail 16 hours later saying that I had to drop off the truck at 12:00 pm on Friday, 9/7. What the heck - doesn't U-haul know that I had already dropped off the truck 16 hours earlier. That was a little irritating to get those messages.jennifer P.

The tire was flat when I first received the rental truck and there was no way at the facility to fix it - nor were there any other available trucks. I also ordered a van, not a truck, and my order was changed without notifying me so that I received a truck instead. I think this should have been communicated before my arrival at the pick up locationBailey C.
My confirmation call wasn't clear to say that my â€œPreferred Pick up Locationâ€ was different then my actual pick up location. Mullica Hill location was very helpful at rearranging the pickup. Thanks!Steven H.

She was so mean and rude. Very ignorant racist person. She's was horrible. She looked Like she hated her job and lied to me saying I can't cancel because her mistake and than she did cancel and charged me again. Worst experience. Moving is a lot stress already and having her helping me was making my situation ever more bad and harder. I deserve to get fully reimbursed for my service. I had such a bad day because this lady. Returning the truck even such rude arrogant people. With all due respect you guys are gonna have to teach these people the true meaning of good customer service before hiring these people to representing your company. We were almost unable to return the trailer here, evidently this site does not accept trailers,, however the girl working there was excellent & somehow managed to accept the trailer. I would not recommend this site for trailersMaura D.

The drop-off location couldn't be better; it was within a mile or two of my final destination. Unfortunately the return place was closed when we dropped off the truck. The drop-box for contract and key return was a great advantage, highly preferable to having to come back to return the truck during "regular business hours" and then trying to find a ride back home on a weekday/workday when my assistants were at their jobs.William L.

To advertise to rent the truck for $20 a day is very deceiving. To drive a total of 42 miles and the charge is over $100 is not close to $20 at all. I wouldn't do it again.Billy H.

I would suggest having the gas tank full how are you suppose to know how much gas you used, it should be full, when you rent a car the gas tank is full not half full.joe H.

I reserved this 10' truck at Woodstown Ice & Coal in Woodstown well in advance to be picked up in Woodstown. I was required to go extra miles to pick it up at South Harrison Self Storage. Although I was given some mileage credit, it did not cover the extra miles for my vehicle.ERVIN H.
Uhaul made my appointment for 5:30 pickup for Wurst Towing in Mantua. I was then informed that the pickup location was South Harrison storage. I called and left message with South Harrison storage. Representative called me back and said I needed to pick up earlier than 4 pm.JAMES D.
Was there for a very long time to get the truck, the credit card machine wasn't working, they need 3 forms of credit cards??? Why? It wasn't a very good experience compared to 2 days later when I rented another truck from a different location of uhaul. In picking up the trailer, Fawn, the person at the South Harrison Storage Facility,did not help with anything other than checking me in and piling the rented blankets on to the rented dolly. I had to push everything outside by myself. She also stated that she had called our home to confirm that I was picking up the trailer and had considered releasing it to another customer. I had received a confirmation email that I was to pick up the 5 x 8 trailer at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014. A previous email had stated that it would be picked up at 9:00 am. When I called on Tuesday to check the conformation, the person at the facility was not aware of the reservation. She (not Fawn) checked and said that a trailer was due in at 9:00 am on Wednesday. We then changed the pick-up time to 3:00 pm and I received an email confirming the 3:00 pick-up time. I arrived at 2:45 for the pick-up on Wednesday, August 13, 2014. No inspection was done of the trailer in my presence and I was told that it was against company policy to hook the trailer to my hitch (which had been previously installed at another U-Haul location). This was contradictory to the site instructions that had been described on line. I was unable to attach the trailer to the hitch and returned later and my husband attached it. However, the right turn signal did not work. We will not be using this pick-up facility again. The attendant, Fawn, did not even leave the office to check out the trailer with me. As a senior citizen, I felt that the lack of support was unacceptable and would be so even if I were a younger person. I was not even given instruction or direction on how to open the trailer. Helping the customer as well as inspecting the trailer hook-up, as instructed in on-line instructions as well as from other U-Haul facilities, would have been a much better way to do business.JOANNE K H.

My son and I made a reservation on Saturday afternoon, 8/9/14 on the Internet. The reservation stated that the truck would be available at the South Harrison location on Sunday, 8/10/14. We would be renting it for 6 hours, to be picked up at 12:15 on Sunday afternoon. We arrived at the location and there was no one working at the office though the sign on the door said that they were open from I believe from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. We called the phone number on the door approx. 3 times and received a automated message machine to leave a message which we did. We were getting frantic by then because we had a lot of work ahead of us that day. We then called U-Haul's main number and told them what happened. They were able to find us another truck of the same size in Glassboro, NJ. That was great but it put us way out of our way and approx. 2 hours behind schedule. We were inconvenienced greatly, the delay of 2 hours and the extra mileage on the truck. It was a major nightmare. We received nothing from U-Haul in either an email, phone call, or text to tell us that our original reservation for South Harrison would not be upheld. I don't think this is very good customer service and I am requesting that we receive the $50 reimbursement that is stated in your policy. Please advise before I have to take this any further.KURT P.

Allow lower level employees the authority to make more decisions. Your system is flawed and it allowed me to rent a cargo van for a one way trip which is against the policy of my pick up location. The employee was very helpful but not able to allow me to rent the cargo van without reaching her supervisor. The lower level employee and her direct manager were extremely sympathetic and helpful to our situation. The manager above that and the customer service help line were completely out of their realm to tell me that I couldn't rent the van, that I confirmed through the phone and online, after I had planned my life around it. Eventually I was able to rent the van but through no help of the upper level management which is completely out of touch with reality. They need training in customer service.AMANDA O.
